Lore: Sequel to Arrival

The Captial of Arken, it is the darkest known city in the world. As it is the capital and the home to the Witch Queen herself, it is a very dangerous place to enter. Home to the toughest and roughest crooks around.

Shea stood there calm and expressionless. There was no hint at all to whether she wanted to hear more or not. In truth she was tired of his whole thing. Strangely tired for one such as herself when she had done no healing of any sort.

"I have heard enough," she said, her power ringing out in her voice. "Leave Solanos, leave before you force me to make you leave..."

Lena glanced over at Miah. How did this come to be? Why am I only a half-demon? This sucks. I wonder what Miah is thinking?

"Miah, what are you thinking about? Me, how come we have such a stupid leader? Can't he get anything right?"

Miah looked away and smiled, listening to Lena's words. Her blonde hair fell elegantly around her face as she formed a plan in her mind.

"Don't worry about Einocktura," she said, walking away.

Don't worry about him. What does she mean? Lena didn't know what Miah was talking about, but she knew she was going to do something, but what?

Its none of my business, I guess. Then she began to think of Praxis. Why was he interested in her father? It happened so long ago. Why did my father fall for my mother? And why do I feel half complete all af the sudden? What's wrong with me? Argh.

Lena shook her head to get her mind out of the thought. It doesn't matter now. I shouldn't even care about it. Lena pondered what Miah was going to do. I can't wait to see what she's gonna do. This should be interesting.

Praxis stared defiantly at Death, and his eybrows raised as a thought formed in his mind. Solanos laughed, "My dear you would need the power of a thousand souls to defeat my avatar....and only your companion here can amass such power."

Praxis face smiled an ironic smile of shock and recogniton as he anticipated what was coming next.

Death continued, "Unfortunetly you would not live to enjoy such a spectacle, but willing or not you will help me achieve it..."

"Run! He cannot win without...." Praxis quickly shouted but he was quickly cut short. Skeletal hands reached out of the ground, and swept him off his feet. In responce to the threat to their master, the wings sprang into action, simultaneusly pouncing on Death.

Shea looked at Praxis as the skeloton hands grabbed at him. "I don't run," she growled and her hand came up. She concentrated on forcing Salonos away from her home. She may not have the ability to kill him, but she did have the ablilty to make him leave.

At least she thought.

She concentrated on trying to make a portal, or gateway, anything to make him go away.

"Leave!" she growled, stepping closer to him as her eyes glowed a purplish color. "I tire of this!"

Solanos smiled at her defiance. "Gladly my dear...I just hope you don't mind if I take your...lover with me." With that he tossed off his assailents and raised his hand up. He actually started strenghtening the spell. "I know you've growned quite...attatched to this one." The portal opened sucking everything nearby into it. Praxis shouted "He's bl..." but was cut off again by the hands as he fought them in his weakened state. Inside appeared a world filled with red rapidly flowing and churning liquid as far as the eye could see. It was the Netherplane, Death's home.

"No!" Shea actually screamed. Though the scream was in anger.

She rushed towards Praxis, grabbed and trying to pry the hands from him. She felt this strange feeling grab her. A feeling she had never felt in her entire life. She brought herself down to Praxis's level, trying to get her arms around him.

She wanted to get as close to him as possible so she could try at least to teleport them both out of there. No matter if it risked her going in with him or not.

Surprisingly, she had never felt so strongly compelled to save someone in her life.

Death summoned a cloud a darkness, and in his hands appeared his legendary scythe. He slowly approached them, cutting down every Wing who opposed him like a farmer harvests wheat billowing in the wind.

Praxis's eyes went wide with suprise and anger at Shea's responce. As she managed to peel the hand away from his mouth, he shouted "Fool! Get out of here! He can only completely his plans if he captures us both!"

Death stopped hovering above them, his scythe poised high above his head, ready to strike. He smiled at the pair and exclaimed in a "Last chance my dear, either abandon this man or share his fate."

"Fool! Get out of here! He can only completely his plans if he captures us both!"

What was his damned plan? What use did he have with both of them? Her father would surely punish Death for this.

Shea's mind raced with thoughts of what she could do. Every instinct told her to run and leave Praxis to this fate.

But, something else told her to stay. Something strange.

"Call me a fool, Praxis," she said and in one swift movement rose to her feet and grabbed a hold of Death's scythe.

She didn't know what it might do to her. But, if something happened to her, whether her father was mad at her or not he would help her. He would avenge her.

Miah glanced over her shoulder, seeing that the werewolf was following her. Perfect... she thought. She walked into an empty room in the castle and waited patiently for him. It would be best if there were no witnesses anyway.

It made perfect sense to kill him. He didn't do much of anything, and both she and Lena were growing tired of him. He was pretty pathetic, so it would be best for all of them if he were dead. As she waited, she thought what way she could kill him... Lure him in and seduce him before killing him? Just coming out and killing him? Or maybe torturing him first...

((I guess that will work. And I guess I still have permission to kill him, right? O.o))

((If anything in the world can confuse me, it's this thread. First, I had permission to kill him. Now, I don't... or do I? And I've already posted saying I was going to kill him, and... Auuugh!))

Miah sighed and shook her head. No, maybe I shouldn't kill him yet. Maybe I should wait... She waited for him to walk through the door, wonderinf what was taking him so long. She heard him coming, and she could tell that he had stopped right at the door. What was he doing?

OOC: Sawry for dying, lots of stuff happened this month.

Death sneered, his cold face hidden by his dark hood. "So be it...." Faster than any mortal's eye, he violently lashed out and grabed Shea's tender pale neck with his skeletal hand. His fingers dug deeply into her flesh, drawing her blood. Peeling her off the scythe, he flung her aside with an arcane gesture. Turning back to Praxis, Death declared, "Cower mortal as you witness the birth of the one true god!" as he impaled the scythe's blade into Praxis's chest. Surviving even this egregious wound, Praxis stuggled violently to free himself, his eyes alight with fear as Death slowly brought his hand driping blood over his face.

"No soul can save you from your fate, Illumentatus," death excalimed in a parting sneer.

Time seemed to slow, as a drop fell from death's hand, hanging in the air likea minature red planet, doomed for destruction, until it violently exploded in Praxis's eye.

Shea gasped as she felt the stinging sensation of his skeletal hand wrapping around her small neck. She landed with a hard thud, skidding across the hard corpse covered floor. She winced, pulling herself into a semi-sitting position as she watched with hidden horror as the blade of the scythe fell towards Praxis. Then she watched Death hold out a bloody hand, but where had the blood come from?

But, he couldn’t die from that… She could heal him as soon as she was done with Death. How to deal with Death?

Shea felt a warm dripping sensation around her neck and she felt there, slowly realizing the stinging sensation she felt around there. She brought her hand back down and glanced there, noticing the dark red color on her finger tips. Her mouth fell open slightly as she looked back up.

“No!!” Shea said, rising quickly. But, it was too late.
