Death chuckled and let Shea go. "My dear...I am here to honor my alliance to your father." Pointing a bony finger accusingly in Praxis's direction, detah continues, "HE is your enemy. He intends to overthrow your father, and to sacrifice you so that he may have the power to do so. But that thought never occured to you...no, you're just like your father, too wrapped up and too confident in your power to realize its about to be taken from you. You don't even know this man's past do you, and yet you welcome him into your palace with open arms?"

Shea closed her eyes. She grew tired of Death so fast. She kept them closed for a long moment as he continued to rant. The more she heard his voice the more she wanted to blow something up.

"Death!" she growled and her dark eyes flashed open. "Leave my palace and take your friend that you brought with you. If Praxis tries to harm me I will destroy him. I'm not encapable of it."

She glanced at Praxis, to see if anything registered on his face that would lead her to beleive that Death was telling her the truth.

Praxis remained still unmoving, his full attention was focused on concealing any emotion or reaction. He breathed deeply, calm as ice. Noticing Shea was sizing him up, he responded looking up at death, "are you going to go on like this for long. We all know in the end its your word against mine."

Death laughed again, "so anxious to meet your demise are we?" Turning back to Shea, he continued, "if you don't beleive me, I will show you!" With that, he lunged back towards Praxis.

Shea grew tired of it all. Why was she so aggrivated when usually she would be amuse.d There was no reason for her to be unusually aggrivated.

It was like something had every nerve in her body over the edge and it was so far over that it was making her sick.

Praxis rushed foward to meet death, determined to deny him the initiative. Both creatures of the night threw the arms foward, forming magical fields. Green light clashed with the black void. Both stopped a couple feet from eachother, trying to achieve supremecy by brute force. At this point a thought occured to Praxis, and it made him smile through his gritted teeth. He concentrated his thoughts, must...take this..battle...topside... I need to...find corpses. He never thought he'd enjoy Shea's abillity to read his mind.

Shea's eyes came up as she heard Praxis's thoughts. must...take this..battle...topside... I need to...find corpses

If corpses is what you need my love, she thought, Then corpses you shall have.

Unfearingly she stepped towards the two fighters. Quickly she grabbed onto Praxis and snatched him back, as if snatching him out of thin air and disappearing.

The reappeared in a dark, smelly room where no light was shinning at all and one could barely see in front of them. "Corpses..." she said softly into Praxis's ear, her lips lighting brushing his ear.

It was where all the dead were thrown when they died in the palace. They weren't worth giving a barrial in Shea's eyes...

The room smelled of rotting flesh, burned flesh, the normal smell when a room is filled with decaying bodies.

Looking around anticipating Death to appear at any second, Praxis quickly plunged his hand into the pile of corspes. He started quivering violently, and blood began to flow from his eyes. A green mist filled the room obscuring everything from view.

Praxis mumbled slowly, "I call upon you to fulfil your oath." Through the mist, human shaped shadows began to stir and move.

Shea looked at Praxis as he plunged his hands into the corpses. She back away towards the wall for him to do his work, though a slight worry came to her at seeing blood in his eyes. She didn't let her worry show, she just, instead, took interest in what he was doing.

She also kept a look out for Death, just waiting for him to appear out of no where to try and kill Praxis, at least thats what she was thinking he was trying to do... What else would he want?

Fourteen living, breathing people occupied the space where the pile once stood. What once was rotted flesh was now flesh made whole. Their appearence and the possesions on the body had changed as if transmuted from their previous existence. Many even now had weapons, and were composed of people of all ages, genders and races. There was even a child in the group. Yet, they moved as if they were a single organism. Their breathing, their mannerisms, all were unaturally synchronized with Praxis's movements.

Praxis himself was barely holding himself up from the ground with one hand suporting him from the grimey surface. He was breathing heavily as if the endevour had sapped his strength, and blood still lightly flowed from his eyes. Staring off into the room's darkness he uttered, "I...give you the Wings of Sorrow."

His plan would be deceptively simple. In his mind, he thought of the large room as a grid. He would open the battle with his skirmishers, mere pawns to ferret out his enemy's weakness. He would then most likely follow up with his heavily armored fighters. If this were a typical battlefield, and if he had more material to work with, he would've made horses for them to ride. Once they engaged, Praxis figured he would next need to call up his healers, former priests he swayed from away from the gods' lies. Finally he would call up his spellcasters to be his final fortresses of protection should all else fail. A troubling thought suddenly crossed Praxis's mind, but he quickly banished it. All that remained was to wait for death to appear.

OOC: Still haven't figured out that clue you mention :P

IC:
Shea watched with idle amusement, though she found it very interesting to watch the dead rise and turn into blank faced shadows that would do Praxis's bidding.

She guessed it took death to beat Death. At least, if it didn't then Praxis was screwed. She never wittnessed a person defeat death before. Her Father could, she knew, because he was one of the more powerful Gods.

"Wings of Sorrow?" she qeustioned silently, a smile coming to her beautiful face.

It didn't make her uncomfortable, except for the stench, to be around these corpses. She wasn't worried that they might attack her, unless they had some recollection of who was the one who gave the orders for them to die. If they remembered that then she might be in some form of trouble. She didn't know if she could handle so many corpses attacking her at once. But, if Praxis was controlling them then she had nothing to worry about.

The flesh on their faces was rapidly moving, healing itself, but more than healing, transmuting into new faces and bodies. Praxis had broken down the corpses and used the material to shape completely new bodies.

Noticing Shea was taking notice of his small army, Praxis explained with pride, "Sure they may be not be very pleasing to the eye now, but give the spell a few minutes and I'll have an army full of soldiers, each one I personally designed and crafted."

Shea smirked, tilting her head as she watched what was happening with the faces. "Will they remember me?" she asked absentmindedly, stepping forward towards one and admiring it as she got closer.

Praxis open his mouth to speak, but he instead coughed up a storm. He opened his mouth to speak a second time, but he was interrupted.

"No my dear...."

Praxis with his eyes glowing green again, quickly turned his head to face the new visitor, and the small army turned in perfect synchronization, eyes glowing bright green as well.

Standing in the doorway was a tall, gaunt, dark man dressed in a black robe and pitch black globes for eyes. In his right hand he slid an old coin back and forth between his bony fingers.

"This is a work of necromacy that has been lost for quite sometime...save this man and his...associates. What you see before you...my dear, is a form of ressurrection. He broke down the corpses you provided, created new bodies, and filled those bodies with the souls of those who've fallen under his sway. Quite impressive... yet it makes one wonder..."

Turning to Praxis, he continued, "So, Illumenatus, why don't you boast to your lover how you got such a godlike power."

Praxis remained still in uncomfortable silence.

The day for Shea just continued to get more and more confusing with people who kept popping up to have Praxis tell his life story.

"I think I could guess," she finally stated, getting more and more aggrivated and bored at the same time. "From all the souls he's managed to get in his grasp? The more souls he gets the more power he recieves from them? My soul would probably make a fine addition to that power..." She glanced at Praxis. "But, if it has to go some where it might as well be to him."

Praxis mounted an offensive. "It appears your powers of persuasion have failed you...Solanos."

However, his offensive was quickly met with reply. "Faithless Illumenatus, you intend to murder a future goddess!" Turning to Shea he continues, "its not just the souls he uses my dear, but as well he uses their..."

"Solanus...she's heard enough!"

"What's the matter something to hide, Illumenatus? You attack me, she'll know that what I say is true"

Praxis turned to Shea, "you've heard enough, haven't you?"
