Tenele smiled weakly as he looked her wrists over. They were perfectly fine now, not a trace that she had slit on of them. The only evidence Vlad had to what she had done was what he saw.

"I saved your ass," she said, tired amusement in her voice. She slumped forward slightly, tired and needing a decent rest. "Nice to see your so energetic..." She felt weak, but that could be expected from losing as much blood as she had allowed Vlad to take for himself. She had give him to the point where she almost lost conciousness, she did that because if she would have lost conciousness while sitting up Talon very well might have let her bleed to death.

Talon looked at Nickole and sighed heavily. "So little one, how do things fair with you?" he asked casually.

Kitanai nodded slowly as he heard the explanation of the going ons of his land. He noted the part where Kyosuke saved her for later processing and thought of a solution. "I have promised the Queen of this land that I would help in the battle on the border," he said. "If all goes well, we should be able to drive back Shea's forces. That might disrupt her plans in Ongoreth as well."

Kyosuke continued in his silence. He didn't feel quite right talking to such a powerful man, especially one who saw him in such a negative light.

Tenele's comment confirmed Vlad's suspicions. When she slumped forward, it made him nervous. Maybe even scared. He felt like energy was pouring into him as his body put the blood he had swallowed to use, and it was such an intense relief in comparison to before that he had no idea how much he'd taken. It felt like a lot...how far had she gone? DId he take too much? She didn't look alright, and while his thoughts were still only half composed, he had the strange feeling she might be dying.

He lowered his head so he could see into her face from her slouched position, cradling her wrists in a firm grip. "Maiden girl! ....Tenele," Vlad called out to her, trying to sound casual or teasing, but all that emerged was poorly-concealed alarm. It was a feeling he wasn't used to.

Shinobu nodded to the Shogun, her eyes glancing in Kyosuke's direction. "Yes, that might throw her attack off... But, I'm afraid damage has been done, Kitanai-sama.... As soon as this battle is over I believe you must return home to right the wrong..."

Tenele's eyes looked at Vlad as she tried to lift her head, but felt too tired to. She blinked slowly. He actually said her name... That was.... a first. All this time she had been "Maiden Girl". Why was he calling her Tenele now? Unless.... He was worried for her....

Tenele smirked weakly.

"Don't worry hero," she said softly. "I'm not dying..." I don't think.

"She's not dying," Talon piped in. "She just needs rest and food. Though she could have died... You should have been more careful Tenele I mean-"

"Talon... shut up," sh e whispered.

Vlad twitched incredulously at the accusation that he was a hero. But at least she seemed to be stable. The adrenaline in his nerves calmed slightly. And for the first time it occurred to him that the curse was gone...he had taken blood and his body accepted it. He had to think back on what had happened while he was running around in a half-dead desperate haze until he remembered what it was he'd done. Oddly, he found himself immediately trying to make excuses in his mind to deny his so-called heroic acts. At the same time, he felt no regret...why had he done those things? He risked his life for Talon of all people?

Whatever, that was not of importance right now. "Rest," he told Tenele. He shifted himself into a sturder sitting position and put an arm around her, bringing her forward to lean into him for the moment so she wouldn't fall forward; she seemed like she was about to.

Vlad looked around them and saw Nickole and Talon. He could smell blood all around them, still famished and quite weak despite his stable condition. "Where are the other three?" he asked of Nickole and Talon.

Tenele leaned forward and closed her eyes. She wasn't sleeping, just resting... It was odd leaning against Vlad, because it wasn't like leaning against a normal person, Vlad had no heart beat... and he was cool instead of warm... She didn't mind this, because she liked Vlad... and didn't care what he was. She went limp, because there was no need to be tense in his arms.

Talon stood up, holding his arm. "Well, I'm guessing...." He stopped suddenly and looked down the tunnel. "Gods, we have to get to them! There could be more of those things! They could be hurt!"

"We need to get out of here...." Tenele whispered, her words muffled by Vlad's tunic shirt and the way she was leaning against him.

Nickole nodded in agreement. Assuming Talon would want to lead, she flttered into his hand so that he could use her as a would a torch.

Ylia bent over so that she could better see Kaze's arm. It was mangled nearly beyond belief, but Ylia knew that she could heal her. Something behind them made a *clink* sound, switching Ylia's mind into hyperdrive.

"Kami," she instructed, " You must hold onto Kaze... not too tightly, yet firm enough that she won't jump up. The nerves merging back together will feel odd to her, but she'll be fine."

Placing her hands around the blod-covered & mangled forearm of the girl, her eyes tried to connect with Kaze's face in the darkness. Without breaking her gaze away from Kaze, she spoke to Kami. "Ready?"

Kami nodded, shaking while he shifted her in his arms so that her mangaled arm was towards Yila. He held Kaze tight, enough to make him sure she was still alive... but barely.

"Ready?" asked Yila.

"Y-yes." he said softly. He tried hard not to look at Kaze's arm and concentrate on her face,and that she'd be ok soon.

Ylia closed her eyes and saw Kaze's arm as whole. The mangled arm seemeed to fuse together beneath her hands. Kaze's skin tightened, and her scars disapearred.

Ylia opened her eyes and slumped back down onto her knees. Looking at Kaze & Kami through tired eyes, she gave Kami a weak but brilliant smile. "She'll be fine," she assured him. Even the blood was gone from her hands.

Talon stood up and nodded. "I know that," he said. Yes, there job was done. Vlad was safe and the curse was gone... and Tenele was in his arms and happy.

Happy... Why should he take away her happiness. She almost gave her life up so that he could live. She cared for him, maybe she even loved him? Talon, no matter how much he was against her and the vampire being together, could not take away his sister's happiness. He would have to deal with the fact that she was a lover to a vampire... and a psychotic one at that...

"Do you want to carry her or should I?" Talon asked.

"I... can... walk..." Tenele mumbled, her eyes half closed as she faded deeper into the exhaustion over whelming her. She didn't even budge, though that didn't mean she wasn't trying to.

Talon looked to Nickole. "Nickole, fly a head and find the others... tell them we're leaving. I trust you can get away from dragons better than we can."

Kami blinked. It was so fast. He looked at Kaze's arm and it seemed like nothing had happened to her! He looked at Yila in astonshiment.

"Th-thank... you. Thank you so much!" he cried, smiling and hugging Kaze's still unconscious form.

Her heart was now regaining it's normal beat...

Kaze's eyes fluttered opened and she gasped for air. It had seemed like she had been deprived of breath for a long time. She looked around for a moment, then sat up straighter in Kami's arms.

"What--what had happened?" she asked. Kami let his arms slacken around her.

"The Dragon mangaled your arm, After you tried to befriend it. She saved you." He pointed to Yila, he couldn't remember if they had ever been introduced and if they had, he already didn't have the greatest memory in the world. Either way, he gave Yila the second most grateful smile he had ever given anyone.*

(* the first was given to some random guy from his village who had pounded his back while he was choking on some carrot bits)

"I'll take her," Vlad told Talon, without the cockiness that would have been expected. He gathered the clearly spent girl in his arms and pushed up to his feet. A wave of lightheadedness made him pause, but he adjusted quickly. "You're either incredibly brave or incredibly nuts, Maiden Girl," he lightly teased the weakened girl in his arms. A seductive grin spread over his face. "Either way suits me." He carried her to where Talon was so they could be on their way.

Tenele put her arms in her lap. She would have put an arm around his neck to help him hold her, but it would have done no good since she was so weak. She stuck her tongue out playfully, at his seductive grin. It was an unusual thing to do for her, but she was tired and didn't care.

Besides, he didn't need her to hold onto his neck, he had that whole super human strength thing going on for him...

Talon started walking down the tunnel, going in the direction he had come from before getting attacked by the two dragons.

Tenele looked up at Vlad. She felt oddly safe in his arms as if nothing could hurt her, except for the fact he could drop her as one of his practicle jokes... But, he wouldn't do that to her...

She didn't want to fall a sleep, because that meant she wouldn't know if something was attacking them or not. So she did her best to keep her eyes open. They were heavy and closed, but she forced him open again.

"Maybe you should go a head and take Tenele outside... just encase there might be more trouble... We don't need her to be in the middle of it if she can't move... and she doesn't have enough blood to loose encase she is wounded again. Any more and she'll die..."

"Worry wart," Tenele murmured.

Nickole turned her ring about 20 feet before she got to Talon... but only for a moment. It took 3 seconds before she was right in front of his face.

"Get down," she said with authority far beyond her size, and then her light went out.

She could feel the heat of dragon flames still tingling on the back of her short blck hair.

Talon just glanced behind him, but he could already tell what she was talking about. Some how one of those dragons had come up on them without them knowing...

Are we going to get out of here alive... There was on person who could, he knew for a fact. He was holding Tenele in his arms.... "Vlad, go!" He could run faster than anyone, and he was stronger than anyone. "Go!"

The drargon opened up his mouth to breath fire. He huffed, and huffed.

Talon couldn't find Nickole's light. "Nickole! Run with me! Come on!" Talon started running, needing something, anything to stop the dragon.

Direct hits from magic don't work.... but, would something like a sheild work? No... I've tried that, haven't I?

Talon knew one thing that could get the vampire running. "She'll die Vlad! She hasn't got enough blood to waste on you being stupid and staying, now run!"

Talon turned and drew his sword, instead of attacking the dragon that was coming up behind them, huffing and breathing fire the whole way He attacked the loose rocks at the top, hoping there were enough to cause a cave in that would hold off the dragon at least for a little while.
