Lore: (mature) Running Out of Time(Just outside of Hepian)

This is the forest that covers most of Ighten in dense and thick trees. It is the oldest forest in Heirot, since most of the Forests in Arken have been destroyed. It is well known as a haunted forest where ghosts and demons reside. In the forest are many villages. The villagers will tell you tales of trees that eat people, gaint spiders, and dragon lairs.

Mia sighed and looped her arm with Bejei's. "I wonder what they'll ask about Keifer... since he was sent after me... They know he would have found me. He was a well trained J'ra..." she said softly.

Bejei allowed Mia's arm to loop into his as they walked to her parents house. He thought about what Mia said, and she did bring up and interesting point. What would they tell her parents of Keifer? The truth? He didn't mind telling the truth, but he knew Mia wouldn't tell them.

"How longer will it be?" He pulled her along a bit as they walked.

"Right about..." She turned the corner to where the path ended and a feild streched out before them. The feild had pink flowers growing in it. Going down the middle of the feild was a shallow river. On the other side of the river was a village with white buildings and a small white wall around the edge of the village. "Now." She glanced at Bejei and smiled softly.

"We won't be here long, trust me... My parents... well... you'll see..." She started to lead him towards the bridge that led over the river and onto the other side.

OOC: Sorry for the long wait.

BIC: Bejei followed Mia's finger towards the field, and he allowed her to lead him to the bridge. He didn't know what her parents would think of him, and he might have to kill them if they recognized him. He shooked the thought out of his mind since he didn't want to resort to killing if it could be avoided at all cost.

"Ok. I just wish I dressed in more appropriate clothing since I want to make a good impression on your parents." He was obviously lying, but he was so sincere that he hope Mia didn't noticed he was lying. "I love you... " He whispered softly into her ears.

Mia wanted to tell him that no matter how he dressed he could never make a good impression on her parents. They were probably the most close minded people that she had ever met. They completely hated her, to the point of marrying her off to a half Ishtassy... which is the hated clan by the J'ra people.

Instead she smiled and whispered, "I love you, too," back to him. She led him by the hand across the wooden bridge and towards the village.

As usual outsiders were noticed, stared at... But, most people in the J'ra village looked at them in respect if they noticed the person was a warrior. Since the J'ra people are fighters, warriors earn much respect even if they are not J'ra. Though the J'ra are excellent fighters, they would rather not fight unless there was absolutely no alternative.

Her house was a tiny little cottage behind a wooden fence. She opened the squeaking gate and pulled Bejei with her. "I can't wait for them to see you," she said and smiled. "The last time a man came with me here is because he followed me, stupid werewolf..."

She opened up the door and peered inside. Her mother turned from the kitchen and looked down the hall at her. A frown crossed the middle aged female's face. "Oh..." she said and dried her hands with a dishrag. "Bringing more of your clients home?" she asked with pure distaste in her voice.

"He's not a client," Mia said sternly. "He's my fiance'."

"You already have one," the older woman said. Then she looked at Bejei. "I'm sorry the position is filled, you may go back to whatever cave you crawled out from."

"Mother!!" Mia spat darkly. "I do not have a fiance'... because Keifer is dead."

OOC: My internet is down so I can only use the computers at school.

BIC: Bejei knew that he didn't put Mia's mind at ease by saying that his attire could make a good impression. He never imagine parents could have their offsprings so much. It was unthinkable in his mind, but now he knew it happened... maybe most of the time. He had loving parents, but he took them for granted by being such a nuisance to them. He tried to be a good kid, but there was something in him that didn't allow such a thing to happen. He regretted it everyday of his life, but he knew living in the past would come to nothing... moving on is the best course of action.

He glanced at the people there, and they didn't seem to care about his presence. He wondered why, but his thoughts were interrupted when Mia lead him inside the gate, and he noticed her parents little cottage with a wooden fence. He nodded his head at Mia's response. He knew she was overjoy to bring him to meet her parents, but he knew they wouldn't approve of an assassin if they knew.

Bejei stood next to Mia, absorbing all the bashing that her mother threw at him. He was a little infuriated by her quick judgement, but Mia had already warned him of them so he didn't take it to the heart. He say nothing as mother and daughter argued back and forth until the subject of Keifer was brought up. The death of her bethroth... He wondered how they would respond to the news...

"I killed him..." He blurted out instinctively, not thinking before speaking.

He didn't know why he told her that he killed the lycan, but maybe, he could put things at ease or probably make it worst. He was tired ot their argument so he had to say something to stop it, and that's what he did.

"Yes, the last time a man tried to kill Keifer he didn't... And where is that man now?" her mother asked. "You, get out of my site and let me have a word with this man alone..."

"Mother, shut up..." Mia couldn't take her anymore. She couldn't take any of them. "Look, I'm not going to marry Keifer, he's dead, and all the men you sent with him to bring me back here. I am not a whore, no matter what you think. Bejei and I are getting married and he is the ONLY man I've ever been with. So shut up."

Bejei watched as mother and daughter argued. He never had a sister, and his mother was always so gentle and calm that he never saw her argue before. He knew not to argue with her anyway since nothing would come out of it, and he was always wrong.

He continued to watch them until he could stand it any longer. He had to do something before it gets out of control. "Mia... it's ok. If your mother wants to have a chat with me then I'll talk to her. Don't worry, it'll be ok. Just take a sec." He told her before giving her a hug.

"Alright... lead the way ma'am." He gestured her to show him where to go so they could talk.

Mia's mother motioned for him to follow her into the library... She quickly closed the door behind her. "I'll pay you what ever you might desire, to leave his house and break my daughter's heart... If you have stolen it." she said darkly, walking to the desk. She really was a beautiful woman, though not nearly as beautiful as Mia.

"You see, my daughter has got delusions in her head that she can actually escape me... And she can't. She thought becoming a whore in some carnival would make me let go of her... or make me call off the marriage with Keifer... But she was wrong. Now she thinks marrying you will break the hold... Well, it won't. Now, how much can I give you to make you walk away? I love my daughter... and I don't want her marrying a low life, human, cavedweller."

Bejei followed her into the library. He was curious to know what Mia's mother had wanted to discuss with him. For some odd reason, he already had a good idea what she had in mind. Her offer didn't really come as a surprise to him since he felt a bad vibe from her the moment they came towards the house. However, he was not quick to give her an answer, but instead, acted as though he was actually pondering the offer.

"I know that you do not like me, and you're displease that Mia has fallen for someone of my stature." He replied with a calm tone of voice, even though rage burned fiercely within. "If you love Mia like you say you do then why do you care who she marries?"

Bejei turned away from her and strolled towards the door. He stopped midway from reaching the doorknob before he turned back around to face her. "Did you think that maybe it's not I who has stolen your daughter's heart, but it's her who has stolen mine?"

OOC: I swear I posted here... WHERE DID MY POST GO!!! I'M SORRY!!!

IC: The woman looked at him coldly. "I don't care which one of you is love sick with the other. My daughter is disobedient child. She ran away from her fiance' and became a whore. She is my daughter, I have the right to choose what she does with her life. I created her." the woman said. Clearly she was not budging from the sick notion that her child was nothing but a thing, a possession, that she could control.

"Leave, break my daughter's heart.... I will pay you what ever your type desires," the woman said, walking to a safe and moving to unlock it with her key.

OOC: It's ok. :)

BIC: Bejei's unflinching gaze met Mia's mother, and by the look of things, he didn't like the way she was treating her own flesh and blood. Oh how he wanted to rip her throat and feed her her own intestines. However, killing the woman was not the answer, although the notion of it was very tempting.

"I acknowledge that you so despise your daughter, and she is nothing but fealth to you. Why not let her marry someone who will treat her even worst than you can? Isn't that what you want?" He replied, wanting to know the motives behind the woman's disgust for her daughter.

"Now... what if I said that I want nothing from you... all I want is her, but in return I will treat her like dirt? Would that satisfy you?" He really wanted to kill the woman, but he wondered if his bluff and lies would con her.

For once Mia's mother didn't know what to say. She blinked for a moment and then leaned forward slightly. "Is that supposed to win me over?" she asked rhetorically. She thought for a moment.

"Keifer would probably have done a better job," she muttered. "He was half Isshtassy... but she needs to know that I know what is best for her.... I always have."

The reason Mia's mother was so cruel was simple. Mia was rebellious. She refused to be told who she was going to marry, what profession she was going to go into, what she would wear, or how she would think. Her mother wanted to control her, make her into herself.... a much, much younger version.

"Fine, marry her...." Mia didn't even know she was this cruel... and if she did she might never come home again.

Bejei gave the woman a mischievous smirk. He had somewhat won her over, but he had to play his part right. He had to convince her that he would treat Mia with disrespect and put her down like a lowly human being that was unworthy to live. He couldn't let Mia know about it or else it wouldn't look realistic.

"As you wish. I know that you're still not convince about what I just told you. I'll prove it to you." He replied while edging closer to the woman. "Are we done talking here?" Without waiting for a response, he left the room and made his way back to Mia.

Mia smiled when she saw Bejei emerge. He didn't look that happy, but then again when dealing with her mother one could rarely ever be happy. "How did it go?" she asked him wih a soft loving smile. She didn't care what her mother said, she was going to marry Bejei. She loved him, no matter what dark part of him could take over at any moment. Bolrock had proved as well, that no matter if she wanted to escape she couldn't. She had faith that Bejei would protect her from this dark part of him.

Just like he had protect her from that winged man.
