OOC: We had some thoughts that the thread should be called "Restore all the binds!" >_> <_<
After Mayn departed from them, Mizuki glanced around the group and her eyes fell on Soran. What could she say to him? She felt some distance between them again and now, she was afraid to bridge it. Sighing, she lead them all back into the house. Nothing had changed on the inside. Not that anything could since they didn't really have anything anyway. After entering the house she took the sleeping Rai from Siren and went upstairs with her to lay her on her own bed. Poor Rai, she was small and shouldn't of had to endure this. It was why she had sent Blade away...
Blade...
She wondered how he was doing. Not wanting to brood, Mizuki kissed Rai on her forehead before leaving her room then went back downstairs. Now what do they do? She leaned against the wall feeling as if she was at loss of what to do or say for everyone.
Trying to fill the silence that had over taken them since Soran's... change, Mizuki spoke softly, "Siren, did you sustain any injury?"

Soran followed inside. It felt like he was walking into a stranger's life, with a stranger's family. It was so odd... the feelings were still there, but they were strangled with doubt now. He wanted them to feel right, natural, but instead he felt like h e was out on a bridge with the ropes fraying behind him, about to let him fall. His memores scalded his consciousness, but he couldn't get them to stop. His body throbbed everywhere.
To be very honest, he wanted out of the house. He wanted to be away from them. He was too confused to handle them; he might regret it if he tried. But instead he settled for the option of going upstairs to his room. His unwilling legs barely obliged him; when he got upstairs to the room, he was ready to collapse. Instead he went to the window and looked out, struggling to think.
Siren managed a casual smirk, but she was worried about Soran. "I'm just fine," she said, and looked at the stairs. "You should go to him."

Mizuki looked at Siren as if she was crazy. "Somehow I doubt he'll listen...." she responded, but despite herself she follwed after him. Her heart pounded, would he turn her away? She knew he was going through a lot right now. He probably should be left alone but, she could help him... couldn't she? Weren't they in love and lovers helped each other?... Or was that eradicated now? 'Goddess what do I do?' she thought in panic as she had reached his door. She refused to search his mind to see what he thought. After all the memories she had now that belonged to him, Mizuki felt as if she had betrayed him herself without even meaning to.
Her mind and heart whispered for her to be strong, but being strong in battle was different with someone you cared about. Someone who had changed and she refused to predict what he would do. Before she knew it, she had knocked on his door, and now she braced herself for either silence, or a gruff dismissal.

Soran turned to the sound of knocking on the door, as if there were an enemy there. He wasn't ready...he couldn't talk to her...but he found himself walking to the door anyway. "Shourai, return," he called off his blades, which returned to the bracelets on his wrists. He reached for the knob and opened it to see Mizuki there in front of him. His unreadable eyes locked on hers for a long, silent moment. Then he stepped aside, indicating that she could come in.

Soran stared back at her without blinking. There was a confidence in her eyes that drew him in. Then they fell from the contact. His gaze stayed in place. She was worried. He'd scared her, with what he'd done before and how he was acting now. She didn't deserve that, but he didn't know how to stop it. "I'm fine. I'm just tired," he said in a voice to hollow to sound honest. Then he felt dizzy again and faltered forward, collapsing.
Mizuki sprang forward to catch him in her arms. He was heavy but she managed to manuver him to his bed and sit him down. "I guess, it's good I came." she said nervously with a causious smile. She went to shut his door then came back. She felt his forehead gently, he felt normal, he was just tired.
"I don't know what you think but, I'm glad you're here again."

Soran flinched when she touched his forehead. He hated doing it, but he couldn't help it. "Mizuki," he said slowly, his voice low. "Before, when I was fighting Jhaptal...for a moment, I wanted to kill. Not just him, I wanted to kill everyone. Even you." He looked at her, green eyes devoid of expression.
"My memories came back." His expressionless voice fell sharply, and he looked away from her. "I've killed hundreds of innocent people. Women, the injured, the unborn. I killed them easily."

Mizuki was only mildly surprised. She resisted the urge to tell him that she knew. She turned his head towards her and looked at him honestly. "I can't imagine what... that major blow could've made you felt. You were suffering from a rush of... things." she didn't know how to explain it, she just didn't want him to feel guilty.
"I remember this conversation," she tried on a smirk, " I remember telling you that... I had killed many. You said it was natural in my position." She didn't know if he remembered Gaberial and finding her covered in blood from the people she had killed trying to escape. Eventually she pulled him to her, to try to get him to relax his body. "You were... in a position where you were...supposed to." She closed her eyes, remembering his memories. She couldn't avoid hinting that she knew now, she knew too much to even try to avoid bringing it up. "I don't hold it against you... because, that was your past. We all do things we later regret, we all deserve a second chance."

Soran resisted her embrace, his muscles tense, but she still held him. He wanted her to hold him. Narrowing his eyes, he leaned into her arms and loosened his muscles as much as they would allow. She spoke as if she knew what had happened before. For the first time it occurred to him that maybe she did. "You saw," he said quietly. It was almost a question, almost a statement.

Soran held still in her arms. He wanted her with him, and he wanted to push free. She knew. He hated that she knew, and yet he wanted so badly to not have to hold the weight of his memories alone. He was caught in a nightmare. "It's funny," he said into her shoulder, trying to laugh. "I always thought if I had them back, I would gain something...an identity, or a meaning. It did nothing; I understand less than I did before. I don't know who I am." He felt his voice shaking, and to his shock he realized he was crying. In all the time he'd worked for Rone, when he'd killed his parents, when he'd been stabbed by Reya, he'd never cried. But now, his throat felt like he'd swallowed a rock. A hot tear rolled onto Mizuki's shoulder.
Mizuki searched for hisn hand. When she found it she held in in her lap and squeezed it tightly. "You are Soran Nightblade, the man I love." she felt her own throat tighten, a lump formed but she didn't want to cry. She brushed his cheek with her other hand and felt the trace's of the tear that had fallen on her shoulder. "Everything else, is past."

Soran froze as she touched his hand, and finally he returned her grip. As uncertain as he was, he felt that if he lost contact with her now, he really would lose himself. "I love you, too," he said hoarsely, trying to bite back the lifetime's worth of tears that wouldn't stop rolling down his cheeks. Part of him didn't want to stop them. Sorrow was a kind of vulnerability. He had never been safe enough to cry. He drew in unsteady breath, his back shaking.
