Mizuki:
Kaze shifted in her seat. She loved the Queen and all but, dark castle rooms made her edgy. Ok, so the room wasn't exactly dark. Alright, she was just plain uncomfortable! Behind her scarf she flexed her jaw and fiddled with her staff in her hands. The Queen had wanted to she her for something. Kaze had been a help to the Queen before and had actually seen the inside of the Whitch Queen's castle. She had also meraculously escaped it!
Kaze shuddered at the awfull memory. She had been capture by the Whitch Queens people and forced into a dark room...there was so much darkness... Kaze shook her head out of those thoughts. There was no need to be thinking of those now. She looked to the door. The Queen should be here soon and probably some of the other people.
Signs had been placed about Ighten for recruits to help the Queen, but Kaze had gotten a special message. Straight from one of the Queen's Maiden's stating that she had to come to the castle and wait for futher instruction there.
Kaze mind was running rampant. She was putting two and two together in her mind and came to the conclusion that the Queen wanted her help on something against the Whitch Queen. Kaze had heard of a ship that was under the Queen secretivly and wondered if she wanted Kaze to do the same thing.
Finally, after the long wait, she heard the Queen's footsteps on the floor echoing down the hall to this very room...
Emora Deen:
He was a tall man, built in muscle from a almost 60 years of work, but he looked not a day over twenty-six. He was handsome with a chiseled face that probably even a God would kill for. Long shoulder length shimmering silver framed this face and his silver eyes sparkled even when there was no light. He was cloak in black from head to toe, that made some people think he was some sinister evil doer, but they would be completely wrong. There was nothing sinister about this man.
As he walked down the hall his long black coat billowed behind him and he gave off an certain air of impose. Maybe the imposing feel came from the fact that he feared little... except one thing. Or it could be because he was trained in the art of alchemy. Or just because he was tall, dressed in black, and walked with a grace only brought on by elves.
He walked the halls of the palace looking from a Queen's Maiden, or the Queen herself. He had come to Lowight to see his sister after many years... and he found her house empty. He wouldn't expect her to leave a note since she probably didn't figure to ever see him again, but he truly wanted to see her. It had been so long... and what if she had gone off and gotten herself in danger. She was good at that. Then again she was good at getting out. Some of the tricks she accomplished made him dizzy, well not really.
Mizuki:
Kaze was itching to get out of the room.
"OK, sorry Queen but i got to get out of this room!" Kaze said bolting out of her chair and walking to the door. "Maybe if I'm right the person coming now is the Queen. If so, I'm requesting a walk around her gardens!" She yanked open the door but didn't see the Queen.
"What?" her soft voice echoed in the halls. "But I thought I heard..." she turned quickly to see a person dressed in black coming her way. Her mouth twitched under her scarf. 'Black.' she thought. She absolutly hated anything that even resembled black. Suddenly she felt the need to get back in the room behind her.
She jumped back into the room and closed the door. "There, surrounded by light and bright colors... wonder why I was so edgy in this room then?" As she pondered it, she heard someone at the door and became very alert. 'FINALY!' she thought still thinking that it may be the Queen.
Emora Deen:
Talon stopped half way down the hall at the strange reaction from the lady with the veil or scarf, whatever it was, across her face. He continued, pausing to knock on the door. Maybe she needed some kind of help or something? His hand came up and he knocked three times.
He might have frightened her or something. He knew that he didn't look like one of the good guys, but it's hard to hide out in the shadows with bright clothes on and black was very becoming of him. He never thought of judging someone by there clothes or the way they looked.
"Excuse me, mi'lady?" he asked to the door and leaned forward. "I something the matter?" A charming smile came to his face. “If I frightened you I didn’t mean to…”
Mizuki:
Kaze's eyes twitched in frustration. It wasn't the Queen. She went to the door and opened it while talking.
"Sorry, I thought you were the Queen and--" she stopped. It was the black clothed man from the hall. Black. That's all it was, Black!Black!Black!BLACK! Her eyes twitched again and she slammed the door in his face.
She concentrated at staring at the nicely brightly colored wall. "I'm sorry! It's just,...all the black...." How could she tell the man that she can't bear to be in the presence of him because of his black cloths?!
Emora Deen:
Talon was surprised at her when she said she thought he was the Queen... Did he look like a woman? She must have meant the noise he was making coming down the hall. He was equally surprised by the fact she slammed the door in his face.
However, Talon was not insulted. He merely chuckled lightly and said to her.,"I am deeply sorry milady if my clothes offend you but they help with my work." He offered the explanation in a kind way. "You needn't fear me for what I wear, I am a good man."
He hadn't gotten a reaction like this is a long time.
"If it bothers you so I shall leave," he turned to leave.
Mizuki:
'Idiot.' her sense yelled at her. 'You hurt his feelings!' Kaze grinded her teeth under her scarf and yanked open the door trying not to focus on his cloths.
"No! I'm sorry...just...thing with dark things I have...." she mummbled. "Er... if I haven't angered you...you wanna sit here with me? It's kinda...lonely and I'm waiting for the Queen who's taking quite awhile to get here...uh..."
She was stummbling badly. She tried never to get too close to some people, especially after what had happened to her a long time ago, but she was getting lonely in that room. She'll be covered by most brightness anyway, it wasn't like the entire room would be black.
"I mean, If you have other things to do I wont stop you! oh...no...." she had locked her eyes with his when he turned around. 'Your in trouble now.' her sense poked fun at her. The man was beautiful, and she has seen handsome men in her travels, but the man before her now just made her feel like a young little girl again fretting over all the cute boys in her mage school. Under her scarf, she blushed.
Emora Deen:
Talon was slightly turned towards her looking at her with that smile on his face. "Well, it so happens that I am looking for the Queen as well, so I'll sit with you." He turned around and began walking back towards her.
"Might I inquire your name, Lady?" he asked and bowed his head as they entered into the room. "I am Sir Talon Raider."
He hadn't used that title in a while. But, he was asking to rejoin the ranks of Knights... And Sinead would need him. His silver eyes looked at her and they sparkled with the same shimmer as his hair, except brighter,
Mizuki:
She shook her head and walked back inside with him, very slowly getting used to his attire.
"My name...?" she stummbled. If she used her name he my realize that she was the girl that had killed that mage teacher. But she didn't! She was framed! But with a man that was a Knight probably wouldn't believe her story of truth. So she quickly thought up a lie.
"I am...Colette.." she almost squeaked. She mentally slapped herself and sat back down on her original chair. Her fingers furiously figedting with her staff.
Emora Deen:
Talon smiled warmly and stood there. "That is a lovely name," he complimented as he moved towards a chair, his cloak floating evenly behind him. He sat down and leaned back in his chair. It had been a long ride from the Border to Lowight and a rest would do him good.
He thought to ask her if she new his sister. "Do you happen to know where Maiden Tenele Raider might be?" he asked and leaned on the arm of the chair on the right side. "It's been a while and I thought I'd drop by one my sister."
He wanted to ask her about her scarf, but that was prying and he didn't want to go into her business.
He was a dark shape in the room of brightly lit colors, but his clothes were befitting to him. He stuck out like a sore thumb, but a handsome one.
Eslin:
Sinead was sitting in her writing chamber sipping wine while she sketched her plans out to Auron. This chamber was the hub off all the important buzz that went on in the kingdom.
It was a long chamber; longer than it was wide. At one end Sinead sat behind her ornamentally carved desk. From this point in the castle she received all reports and sometimes important people.
Some of those reports were stacked neatly at one corner of her desk along with tools for writing. At the other end of the chamber across from Sinead was a door that led to the throne room. She received everything else there.
There were a few chairs in front of her desk. Auron occupied one at the moment. Sinead had been waiting all morning for her report from the boarder to arrive. It had been very late in coming. She looked at Auron and said, “If it doesn’t come today, I’m going to have to assume it’s not coming at all. You know what that means don’t you?”
He looked at her, “It means that it’s time to pay your whore of a sister back for all the things she’s done.”
Sinead smiled in spite of everything, “Yes, but it want be as easy as you make it. It would be nice if the Shogun would return from where ever he’s gone to.”
There was a knock on door. Outside the writing chamber Maidens were posted as guards; they let the messengers through and made sure no one entered who might harm the Queen.
“Enter,” Sinead said. She had a feeling that she would never see that report from the boarder. Her feelings had never lied to her before. It was almost an unhuman thing. But then Sinead wasn’t really all the human either.
The woman who entered was the overseer of all the castles needs. She ruled the servants with an iron fist.
“Yes, Rachel?”
“My Queen,’ she said as she swept a curtsy, “my Lord Auron, there are two visitors here to see you, my Queen. It seems that they have just caught my attention. I will punish whoever let them stay from my attention for so long. Would you have me summon them here? Or the throne room?”
“Please just bring them here. And please send a servant with drinks. Do you know who they are?”
“No, my Queen, but I can find out and send word ahead.”
“Do that then,” Sinead finished and dismissed her.
Rachel walked out the door to fetch the visitors. Around the castle she was know as a stern woman and a hard task mistress. At the sight of her steel gray hair pulled back into a bun and piercing blue eyes, the servants went at their work with restored vigor.
She arrived at the chamber the visitors were waiting in, and knocked once before she boldly entered.
Mizuki:
Kaze, known to Talon as Colette, jumped at the knock on the door. She was normaly never this jumpy. But then again she's never had too much contact with people so she's never really had to lie about her name. But maybe this could change. She's with the Queen now, maybe she'll find Kaze innocent and spreasd that word?
Sinead is a kind Queen. She'd do it, right?
"Yes?" she said answering the door trying to calm herself and felt bad for not being able to answer Talon's question.
Emora Deen:
Talon smiled at who was standing in the door way. It had been a long time since he had seen her. Then again it had been a long time since he had seen any one at the palace. "Rachel! I'm guessing your still behind the whip?" he asked playfully, often finding humor in making her angry.
Rachel looked at him with every bit of disdain. "What brought- The Queen will see you now," Rachel said, changing the subject quickly, there was no use in picking at him, he just picked back.
Talon nodded as she turned away to look back at the woman he was with and stood there waiting on her... “Coming?” he asked.
Mizuki:
Kaze/Colette nodded and followed them. 'I guess he knows the people here.' she thought. 'Good work Lady Obvious.' her common sense poked back at her. Her common sense liked to talk back to her and make her angry. Like a second person in her head. Kaze never quite understood why...
"I was sent here to speak with the Queen." she said to the lady known to Talon as Rachel. She produced the letter she had gotten from a pouch in her belt in case she needed proof...
Emora Deen:
"I don't know nothin' about any letter or summons. I just run the castle, not the kingdom," the woman said sternly and Talon shook his head. She was such a stern woman, even to strangers.
"You'll have to excuse Rachel, he has a corn cob permanently up her butt," he said and grinned evilly to the stern woman who glared dangerously at him. He was a gentleman, but when it came to this woman he let it all go, but he was still a gentleman. "I am sorry, that was rude of me."
Rachel said nothing to him, however, and continued to lead them to the door that led to where the Queen was. She nodded to the Queen's Maidens and they opened the door for them...
Mizuki:
Kaze tried so hard not to buckle over laughing. Her golden eyes teared at the corners. After awhile though she got ahold of herself. But she couldn't help smirking under her scarf...
When they entered the room Kaze became overwhelmed. It was an amazing room full of the brightest colores which made Kaze a very happy elf. She put the paper back in her belt and gripped her staff. Her flicked her eyes to sideglance Talon and for once noted his hair. Silver. It was beautiful and she felt like twirling her fingers in it, but she managed herself to not randomly reach up and do so.
She also noted he was half elven. Kaze had never seen half elves before since her people where... well they weren't very approving of mixed blood. But Kaze in her travels learned to admire any race no matter what. Besides, this man was kind, why would she hate him because of his mixed blood?
Emora Deen:
Talon bowed his head and motioned her forward when it was time to greet and speak with the Queen. "Please, you go first. You were here before me," he said and smiled to the elf. A strand of fine silver fell in front of his face as he bowed his head to her.
He clasped his hands behind his back and waited patiently...
Mizuki:
"Ah...but..." Kaze didn't want to go first but... "Alright." she went forward hesiatantly. She's never really actually met with the Queen before. 'Get a grip on yourself kid!' her sense said to her and Kaze mentally shook her head.
Regaining some confidence she stepped forward to the Queen. She wasn't too sure of bowing or anything but she did it none the less then straightened after it.
"My Queen, you have sent for me?" she produced the note once more..
Eslin:
Sinead stood, and her all knowing blue eyes went to the people in the doorway.
Rachel walked into the room and said, "My Queen, I have brought the guest." The servant who was bring the drinks rushed in behind her with a tray. The servant took the drinks and set them on a small table that was close to Sinead's desk.
Sinead look at Kaze and noticed Talon behind her. She smiled at them and said, "Please we're not in a rush; come have a seat." She gestured to the three chairs that we're placed in front of her desk.
Auron occupied one. He was still sipping the wine from earlier.
"Would you like anything to drink?" Sinead said as she took her seat again. Her emerald dress rustled quietly as she took her seat.
Mizuki:
Kaze gladly took a seat.
"Well, I guess so.." she hesitated. "But my Queen, you sent someone to give me this note?" Kaze just wanted to know what was going on. When her drink was served she lifted her scarf just a bit so she could sip it, and realized she got wine. 'Better drink this slowly.' she thought put it her scarf back in it's place.. She had a history of not being able to keep it down...
OOC: >_< god i completely forgot she was wearing a scarf...-smacks self-
Emora Deen:
Talon walked towards the chair on the farthest end, leaving the middle one empty for Kaze. He gave a cool nod to Auron, who occupied the other chair. Then, he smiled to Sinead with all his usual charm. Sitting down he crossed his legs in the manly fashion and leaned back comfortably, looking at Sinead as if she were a puzzle.
She knew where his sister was and for some odd reason he felt compelled to find her. He had heard many things about her while asking around the city. He had come to find that a man- vampire- by the name of Vladimir Dracul had been around her a lot lately. He didn't know whether he could trust this vampire with his sister or not. But, then it got worst... She was supposed to be his lover?! Tenele and a vampire lovers? Maybe it was his over protective brother side coming out but he didn't really know if he liked the situation at all.
Talon would wait his turn though. Hopefully Kaze would not take to long. But, he found her to be an odd one so he really wasn't too sure. He took the wine from the server and sipped it with the common elegance that he so diligently expressed.
Eslin:
Auron nodded back at Talon as he sat down. His stark black hair shifted forward into his piercing blue eyes when he did. He hid his amused smile. He knew why Talon was here. He was undoubtably searching for his sister. He sat his wine glass down oh the table that the servant was serving drinks from.
Sinead didn't bother with Talon at the moment. She knew why he was hear. Things might get ugly. She looking out the window and wondered where Vlad was.
Her gaze then shifted to Kaze. She smiled a warm smile. "Yes I sent that letter. I thought you would be a perfect help. I'm have a little trouble with my whore of a sister at the moment. I have a task for you; if your up to accepting it. Have a seat and I'll relate what's been going on so far."
Mizuki:
Kaze nodded and gave the Queen a serious look.
"I've done some things to help you before, kinda own my own time... do I have to go in her castle?" Kaze asked shuttering. She did not want to go back.. but if she must she must. "Though I will accept it either way," she made a face under her scarf in disdain for the Queen's sister. "I really don't like her..."
Through their conversation she had a hard time trying to keep the memory of being in the Whitch Queen's castle, trapt, alone in a dark room full of torture devices. Kaze had often wndered if she had gotten raped by a creepy little minion of Shea's and can't remember. 'Meh, if I was they're all gonna die anyway...' Kaze thought.
Eslin:
Sinead noticed the shudder and said, "No, you want have to go back to Shea's castle. I want force that on you. I'd like to thank you for all that you've done. I'm having trouble at the boarder, though. My border report should have come in days ago. It has yet to come. I'm afraid that means the boarder might have fallen."
There she'd said it. She hoped beyond hope that it wasn't true, but she had a feeling. Her feelings had never lied to her before. Something was wrong at the boarder, and it was only a matter of time. “You could go to the boarder and find out for sure. I don’t know what you’ll find there, but I strongly suggest you go cautiously. Kill anyone you wish. Just please make it back to inform me, or send word. ”
She had put the prospect in front of Kaze. She didn’t know how it would be accepted. She didn’t really know this woman well, although she’d helped her.
Auron sat really still in his chair. He didn’t like it when Sinead was so open about the kingdom with people. His gaze turned to the Kaze beside him and Talon further across. He judged they're reactions.
Mizuki:
"No, you want have to go back to Shea's castle. I want force that on you. I'd like to thank you for all that you've done. I'm having trouble at the boarder, though. My border report should have come in days ago. It has yet to come. I'm afraid that means the boarder might have fallen. You could go to the boarder and find out for sure. I don’t know what you’ll find there, but I strongly suggest you go cautiously. Kill anyone you wish. Just please make it back to inform me, or send word. ” Sinead said.
Well, at least she didn't have to go back there. But... home... she might as well take the risk. They either might not go anywhere near her village or no one would recongize her because of, hopefully, her scarf. 'I'm just spying.. but what if I get in a battle that's too much then I can handle?' she thought, ' I don't want to use my Dark Void at all.'
Kaze finally nodded. "Yes, I'll take it but... in any case I fall under a battle that I can't handle alone.. can I request some companions?"
Emora Deen:
Talon sat up in his seat as things grew more interesting. The woman had made it out of Shea's castle alive? Interesting...
"My Queen," Talon said and smiled politely. "Please, excuse my interruption. I came to know the whereabouts of my sister. If you would kindly tell me I will try to leave and come back as quickly as possible so that I may help this young woman with her journey..."
"I have also come to reclaim my title of Knight and enter into your arm and your command once more," he said as he rose from his seat, kneeling down on the floor with his head bowed. "If you will have me that is."
Eslin:
Sinead smiled at Kaze, “Of course you’ll have companions. I’m not going to send you in alone. There’s not a bit of telling what you’ll find. My sister can be a really nasty trickster,” she said with a sneer.
“There is another party that is going to the boarder soon. You can go with them, although; your way and their way may part soon. They have a different task, and I have no right to control them; they are not my subjects. They may not come back with you, or they may go a different way. If you have need of any supplies, you can find them here in the castle,” her hands spread in a wide gesture that indicated the castle.
“You are free to anything you’ll need for the journey.” She pull a strand of golden hair back from her face tucking it behind her ear barely shifting the golden crown that was sitting on her head. The crown was hard to notice since her hair and the crown were the same color, The only noticeable part was the large diamond set at the center. It caught the light faintly.
She looked at Talon, “Your sister is at the boarder. That other party is looking for the person she is with. You'll be sure to find her if you go to the boarder with them” Sinead almost laughed at the irony of Talon and Vlad traveling together. Instead she held her mirth; her face became very serious as she said, “I’ll accept you as a Knight once again, but you’ll have to prove yourself. One doesn’t lay such a thing down to pick it us so easily again. You can iron the details out with Auron later.”
She scanned Auron’s face for his feelings.
Auron sat under her questioning gaze making sure not a hint of his emotion showed through. It would probably annoy her, but she didn’t need him to make her decision. He didn’t even know why she looked. If she wanted to do something, it would be done; no matter what he thought. He leaned back in his chair and assumed an amused look.
Sinead looked away and back to her visitors. Her blue gaze was intense. She was very aware of what it did to people sometimes.
Mizuki:
Kaze nodded to her Queen. "Thank you." Kaze fiddled with her staff. She wasn't scared, just nervous of what she would meet. Sinead was so beautiful, when she was little she remembered pretending to be the Queen.. but that was just a memory now.
She scanned the room she watched Talon and the other man. 'Wait... will I travel with Talon?' she thought. She didn't mind, just the cloths but she figured she would just have to live. She sighed. "Talon sir, will you be traveling with me. Just to find your sister?"
She figured she'd ask.
Emroa Deen:
Talon rose from his kneeling position and looked down at the elf sitting in the chair. "Well, since my sister is at the Border, yes I will be traveling with you, if you don't mind that is..." He offered with a charming smile. "If it's alright after I have said my peace to my sister I will continue on with you... Maybe this will help my prove myself."
He looked his Queen and bowed his head. "Of coarse, it is all up to you, Queen Sinead. What you command I shall do," he said in deep respect.
Being a knight he was bound by duty to serve the queen and he enjoyed serving her, so it wasn't so bad.
Mizuki:
Kaze smiled under her scarf. Talon was strong, capable since he had his experience... not to mention cute. 'Oh! That's not good.' Kaze scolded herself. She never planned to settled down at all and the first step to thinking about it was admiring a man. Quickly, she fought off that though and occupied it with something else.
"That would be great Talon, thank you." Kaze said and smiled wider, not that anyone could see it. "I suspect that I'll be plenty safe with him my Queen." Kaze giggled softly to herself and caught herself again. 'Gah! Stop it! You have a mission and for someone like you it wouldn't be wise to have these sort of thoughts!' she scolded herself again. 'As long as I keep my identity safe I should be fine...'
