Weakness: Snow, rain and fog obstruct his power because he can’t see where he’s going so fast. Other than that he has a weakness for his lost love, Nagia.
Appearance: Samian is about 5’6”. He has short yet shaggy dirty blonde hair and jaded light green eyes. He wears a sort of gray colored pants and usually a white shirt with an animal fur coat he made himself and thick boots. He has a dagger on his side, under his coat.
Biography: At the age of 18, Samian left home to take on the job of messenger in Hepian. His family never really noticed him, because his human mother, Lana, had him out of wed-lock. His real father was an elf. When his mother’s cold-hearted and hateful husband, Thygon, found out about her adulterous act, he punished her severely. He beat her, almost to the point of the loss of the child, Samian. He then killed her lover. Thygon never forgave Lana for what she did but kept her on at his house because she was the mother to five of his children. When Samian was born, his new ‘father’ made him sleep in a hard, wooden cradle with no covers to keep him warm, unlike his past…and future children. (They later had two more kids after Samian.) The cruel man wouldn’t allow Lana to give Samian to a more loving family, for he saw the boy’s presence a constant reminder to Lana of her mistakes in life.
As the boy grew, his mother became more distant from him. He was a definite reminder of her lover, because Samian looked just like him. He was…as people will call a ‘black sheep’. He didn’t fit in and was basically ignored by his family.
While the boy was in school, he fell in love with Nagia, a beautiful girl just a year younger than he. She was perfect…at least in his eyes. She treated him no different than anyone else. They were the perfect couple. They made each other smile without saying a word. Then when she was 17 and he 18, she found herself with child. Everyone saw it as an obstacle in their young lives but it didn’t bother Nagia, and Samian was overjoyed to know he could have a family that really loved and cared for him. The nine months she carried were pain-staking. The wise woman of the village told them it was because she was young and it was her first time baring. However, when the time had come to bring their babe into the world, Nagia had the hardest time, yet. She couldn’t go on any longer. The baby was born still and Nagia passed from labor complications. Samian was heartbroken for sure.
After that he left the Ashgrown Forest in search of a place that he might fit in. He traveled to Hepian and became their town messenger. It’s not much of a job, but someone’s got to do it. And on the bright side, he gets to see more of Heirot.
Personality: old at heart (he’s been through a lot), serious, has a thick barrier around his heart, kind (he’ll treat anyone with kindness especially kids)
