Appearance: Jhaptal is 5' 7" tall and has a densely packed build. He has black hair, which is kept short so it does not get in his eyes while he works, and stunning amber eyes. When he's not on a mission that requires otherwise, he wears a black cloth mask that covers the lower half of his face and connects to the shirt that he wears under his black gi, which is held together by a black sash. He also has a pair of loose black pants and lightweight boots. He changes if he needs to go undercover and walk around crowds. In those situations he usually wears some sort of clothing that would fit the situation, such as a commoner's clothing or even fancy aristocratic wear. In his sash are usually simple kodachis on each hip. He also has throwing stars in a pouch on the back of the sash. Under his shirt are many scars that cover his body.

Abilities: As a ninja, Jhaptal specializes in two things, spying and assissination. He also has skills in interrogation, which in other words means that he is good with torture. In order to be a good spy, he is good at acting. He has the ability to blend into any crowd, whether it be commoner or noble, and adjust emotions accordingly. He is also a skilled fighter. His weapons of choice are his twin kodachi, but he may also use any solid weapon to a certain degree.

Weakness: Due to his training, he has a higher sense of smell and hearing, which can be used against him very easily if the enemy figures it out. He is very weak against magic users, being a ninja that specializes in melee fighting and assassination. If he is discovered by one his choice is usually to retreat rather than to fight on. Groups of people also have an advantage over him.

Biography: Jhaptal was born Masado Tensho and began his training at a very young age in a ninja town in Ongoreth. He was smaller than most of the other children when he was young, and usually picked on. He quickly learned to read people's expectations of behavior and meet them, even if he wasn't sincere about it. He bowed his head to the bigger children and accepted what adults said to him easily. The bullying stopped and the adults liked him so he quickly learned the art of acting at that age. His other skills followed fairly quickly. He became stronger as each day passed and he quickly surpassed the bigger children in skill and strength. However, he never dropped his attitude towards them and he always felt that they only accepted him because he acted as they would expect him to. He soon grew tired of these things in his late teens and decided to leave the village. He had already achieved the rank of Jounin, which is one of the highest ranks a ninja can achieve, and set out to find something different. The elders of the village did not like this, seeing as Jounin have access to many of the village's secrets, and started sending assassins after him. He was able to fight them off until one day, ten other Jounin were sent at him at once. He was in Arken at this time and after slaying a few of them, he was mortally wounded and left for dead. That was when Reya Firecrost found him. She saw a good amount of potential in him and decided to heal him. After Tensho regained consciousness he noted the woman that was caring for him. He asked her why she was taking care of him and her response was that she didn't like seeing talent go to waste. Tensho was almost happy at that response. This woman was definitely one step up from the people in his village. She seemed to accept him for what he could do, not what she expected him to act like. The day after, still bedridden, Tensho swore his allegiance to Reya. He gave up his name and accepted the one that she gave him, Jhaptal. From then on, Jhaptal served Reya in any missions that she gave him, but was never afraid to give his opinions on a mission. However, if Reya demands that he do it still, he will follow out with any order, including suicide.

Extra: Jhaptal tends to be serious, almost to the point where he is stoic, though he is capable of emotions. Very rarely does he crack a smile outside of missions that might require him to. He is completely devoted to Reya and is at her every beck and call. Despite his devotion he is not afraid to speak his mind and object to bad decisions. He also has no fear of death. Whenever he is not on a mission he is usually shadowing Reya, acting as an unofficial bodyguard unless she asks him not to do so. He gave up his birth name when he entered Reya's service and accepted the name she gave to him as a sign of his devotion to her. Very few people actually know that his name is Jhaptal. He usually gives them a fake name when introducing himself. He will only tell the name Jhaptal to those whom he is ordered to give it to.
