Gungrave:
Seras stood at the top of the lighthouse. She had heard the many stories and legends of this lighthouse. Some people warned her on her way up about the monsters they called "Obenki". They say that this monster was a fierce water beast, some even called him a god, but she was certain that no god could or would want to reside here.
As the wind played with her hair she had let down minutes ago from her consticting bun, she seemed to reminice on her life in the clan. It was always peaceful there, no one stole, fought or bullied. Tranquil was what it was all the time, and that's the main reason Seras had left. Things went to slow, and there was nothing to do, but sit around and commit the sin of gossip or something. Seras hated it. The people there were quiet and pleasant, but sometimes it got creepy and unbearably "dead". So when she turned 16 she packed up and bid them all good-bye. In the back of her head she secretly hoped to return back to them, one day....
Seras' thoughts were cut short when she felt someone's presence on top of the the lighthouse. She didn't flinch, but rather stayed there using her mage powers to send a flame straight through them and burn their insides for disturbing her. She knew this was not a friend of hers, or an innocent because her instinct told her so, and she always trusted her instinct. when she turned around she saw hat she thought would come next. Dozens of samurai men were straing intently at her. They looked like they got paid a lot, maybe close enough to what a shogun would pay. They were all clad in black with thick, but sharp metal blades and such with pure metal handles with gold patterns and engravings. Some looked like blood-thirtsy tainted souls, who wanted nothing but to see red. Others looked like they wanted to get this done and over with, then get the huge sum of coins and spend the night getting wasted. Either way she figured they were well trained, well paid, and idiots all at the same time.
The fight started with a scrawny looking man start a speech, but Seras quickly shut him up with a fire arrow. Then with all the now angered and even more crazed men, Seras figured she might actually have fun in this battle. The others were worthless pieces of dirt, who were trained by mules. but these men looked and proved that they were a challenge. As the battle progressed the samurai were getting the upperhand and Seras got a bit worried, then she used her fire to wipe out half of them in a single swipe with the sword that she had set on fire. The blade started to glow red and the fire turned purple. Seras then lifted the blade into the air for her final attack, the Devil's Dragon Hell Pit. When she was almost done chanting the spell and forming the hand seals one man took a kunai and whipped it at her chest. Luckily it didn't hit her heart, it had just missed it by half an inch.
Seras soon fell to her knees and then realized just what had happened. She then doubled over in pain and cursed the men. She then cursed God, although it was a sin, she cursed him for his first betrayal. No compassion, is what God has today she thought.
The world started to turn black and Seras had to give in because she knew that this time, she couldn't escape just yet.
One man picked her up and slumped her over his shoulder. Then they all started to rejoice and a few suggested that they slit her throat and pour her blood into a goblet for Akechi Toshiro (their Daymio). But what looked like the [now] leader of the the group recited their dayimo's orders, and if they defied those orders they will most DEFINETLY would have never seen day again.
So, they decended the lighthouse stairs once they were inside and exited through the front door. They then rode off to Akechi's palace.
