Emora:
The sun shown down on the sailors with out mercy as no one really paid any attention to where they were going. Well, not all of them. The red haired captain, Markquet was strolling up and down the deck roaring orders at the top of his lung for things for people to do. If only he knew what was loose on his ship, he might do the smart thing and hop over board.
Fortunately for the man who had escorted Vladimir to the ship, he had not joined the cruise, but went back to his duties in the palace. Even he knew it was only a matter of time before they found out he was a spy. But, he had done a lot in the time he had been in the palace, even converting some of the delegates and councilors to his side. Of course with lies and deceit, but they were going to be traitors to every one in the end any way. Some of them were even beginning to like what they were doing, though they were getting rich from it.
The sea waves rose high and the ship moved with speed, though it was large. The members of the deck moved around bellow the crow’s nest as the man who had kindly helped Vladimir looked down upon them.
Zenmusha:
Vlad looked down at the busy ants. Those fools clearly had no idea where they were going... save perhaps the captain. But it was strange, what kind of pirate crew wouldn't know where they were headed judging by the sun? Rises East, sets West... It wasn't that hard. Stupid humans...
The day passed by, with the sailors following their very nervous captain's orders. If they were really headed to Ongoreth, he'd be done for... The Nibu Wolves were suspicious of him already, and seeing him in an Arken ship would mean execution... And just as he thought that, Ongoreth could be seen afar in the crow's nest. Not that Vlad mentioned it...
From one of the lookout towers, a guard set out the alarm. "Arken ship! Prepare the skirmishers to engage and board the enemy!" 3 small battleships sailed out from the dock, heading towards the pirate ship...
Emora:
Markquet was running to the bow of the ship. "Get this bloody ship turned around you bunch of sissies!!!" He boomed and turned to them all quickly. "Are you a bunch of panzies. Don't you know where were headed!!!! That's Ongoreth!!! Damn you move this bloody ship!!!!!" He charged to the held and shoved the Helm Master out of the way. He took the wheel and tried to turn it... tried.... They were heading to Ongoreth and there seemed no way out of it. "To your battle stations!!! Man the cannons!!!"
Zenmusha:
Vlad, to make things more interesting, released his grip on the wheel. It didn't matter any more, the ships from Ongoreth would catch up with them in a matter of seconds. Never seen better ships in his life...
One of Ongoreth's pirate Captain's called for the man in the crow's nest. "Yuuji, what are we facing?" The man called Yuuji, looking through the spy glass, examined the crew. "Lowly pirates, sir. They're dissorganized and seem to be having trouble maneuvering. Though they're in combat positions already." The captain thought for a moment... A ship that big might bring about casualties... fragile things these boats are... but fast and very maneuverable. "To your stations men! Load the cannons! Prepare for imminent attack! Send the word to the other ships to spread and keep away from their port and starboard sides!" The ships separated, preparing to shower their bullets in the bow and stern sides of the pirate ship.
Emora:
Finally he could move the wheel, but why at the beginning could he not. Something was no right at all with this bloody ship. "Prepare to fire when I give the call, then fire at will...." He could curse himself forever getting involved in this. But, he would rather die in battle or by his own hand than face Shea's wrath.
"Ready!!!!" he called and they grunted and howled loudly. There is nothing pirates liked more than a good fight and blood shed... well maybe something (women). "Fire!!" He pulled his sword. "When ready though the grappling hooks over." He looked at the many vessels; he was not going to live through this....
Zenmusha:
The ships had gracefully moved away from the dangerous spots, and moved steadilly to engage the pirates. "Open fire!!", the captain shouted. All three ships fired simultaneously, damaging the pirate's hulk and bringing about casualties. "Reload and fire a second volley before we allow ourselves to board!" Much could happen during that time... They had to keep maneuvering out of their range... But likely one of them would be in danger... It's not like their ships weren't sturdy, he was concerned about the men... and the Shogun's anger if they brought about unnecessary casualties.
Emora:
The captain of the pirate ship hit the deck as he figured a cannon ball was going right over his head... if the stupid bloke would have looked it was heading for the port side of his ship.
"Fire you idiots!!! Fire!!!" he yelled and got to his feet as his crew tried there best to hold there own in the attack, but they were out numbered and they were more than likely going to lose the ship. With a battle cry he left the helm and ran to the steps and prepared for a fight.
Zenmusha:
"Sir, the Captain has left the steering wheel and seems to want us to board him!" Yuuji shouted, trying to hold back the laugh. "Alright men, they'll get their wish! Marauders, draw steel and wait until they grapple us! Cannoneers, fire a second volley at their flanks to keep them from firing point blank at us!" With remarkable accuracy, the ships incapacitated the pirate's guns, and sailed to their flanks, allowing themselves to be hooked on. "Crossbowmen, fire a volley to cover our entrance!" He drew his katana, and jumped with the men into the pirate ship.
Emora:
The captain smiled, they were falling in his trap!!! Yeah, right, but he smiled none the less. He gave the order and his men attacked, they fought hard, but none of them had the experience of fighting like the people of Ongoreth.
He swung at some one who had swung at him and took him on, parrying his thrusts. “Fight, you bloody, idiots!!!!”<br>
Zenmusha:
The Ongorethian marauders entered the ship, shouting a battlecry in unisson. The pirates were dissorganized, and so, fighting them in pairs, they picked them up slowly but effectively. The captain fought alongside his shipwright, an adventurer named Vengaul. He ordered Vengaul to help the others as he went on to engage Marquel, with which he had a score to settle.
At sword range, he attacked, but Marquel parried and stuck back. He fought wildly... A useless style against the Art of Swordsmanship he had learned in Port Karelii. On a particularly wild stab, he deflected, spun around himself, and decapitated him. And the battle was won.
Vlad whistled in admiration from the crow's nest. "Very good indeed... Those palace guards could learn a thing or two from these guys." It was time to make his appearance. He jumped from the nest and into the deck. The unfliching marauders pointed their swords at him as soon as he landed. "Calm down, now friends." He removed his veil. "If I wanted to fight you, I'd have done it sooner." The captain, cleaning his sword, went to have a look at him. "Hmm, our spies tell us that Sinead's got a No Life King as servant, and you look just like the one." Vlad replied. "How can you tell I'm a No Life King?" The captain smilled back. "Because you landed from a distance no man could fall from, have long teeth, bloodshot eyes and you're pale as death. And you look like the one who led them here through treachery."
Vlad whistled again. "Nice deduction powers, Sherlock." The captain smilled, and motioned his men to lower their weapons. "We're heading back to the docks. This ship's ours now, so unless you want to go swimming all the way back to Ighten you're coming with us. And don't worry, by tomorrow morning you'll be back in Lowight." Vlad grinned. A small holiday indeed...
