Mia walked slowly towards where Bejei was sitting, the boards creeking slightly as her light form shifted from foot to foot. Her miss-matched eyes wondered over his smooth relaxed features.
She was still, unmoving, just staring at him. She couldn't understand why he would blow her off and then help her. She had never known a man to do something without expecting something in return.
She reached out slowly to wake him.

Bejei felt her touch on him, and he immediately awoke with a sense of urgency. He instinctively grabbed Mia by hair and pulled her head down before his right hand firmly gripped the esophagus. With one swift twist, he could easily break her neck. After taking a good look, he realized it was only Mia. He quickly released the han on her hair, and his grip on her throat.
"Are you alright?" He said with a sense of concern. "It's a gut reaction that I have. I often do it on instincts." He assured her that he didn't intentionally tried to kill her.
He stood up from the chair and straightened out Mia's posture. He gave her a weak smile before fixing her robe.

Mia gasped, wide eyed and fearful. What is it with guys and picking me up by the neck or trying to choke me? she wondered, staring at him with her miss-matched eyes.
She stood up straight, straightening her clothes. "Its alright..." she said, coughing and rubbing her throat. "Happens all the time..."

Bejei felt a little remorse for hurting her, but he figured apologizing was too overrated. Afterall, he already voiced his concern for her, and she knew he didn't do it intentionally since it wouldn't make sense for him to save her twice only to kill her.
"I think we should head to the closest clothing store. You definitely need some clothes. It would look odd if you walked around in a robe." He remarked with dry humor. "Why don't you lead the way again?" He gestured for her to move on.

Mia stopped rubbing her throat and nodded. "I don't really know my way around here, but I can try she said," brushing her hair again with her finger tips. "Maybe I could find out some information about the carnival... That way I wouldn't have to be a burden for you to much longer..."
It took a while, but she managed to find a fairly nice clothing story for women. She didn't want to be rude and just pick out the most expencive thing because he was the one paying for it. She went through the clothes, a long nosed woman looking from Bejei to Mia.
Mia wondered off to the back of the store, the woman following her. "You know you really shouldn't take that from him," she advised, putting a sympothetic hand on Mia's shoulder. "I have some friends who could handle him for you."
Mia laughed outloud. "No, he's not the problem," she told the woman, who nodded like, 'sure...'

Bejei followed Mia to the clothing store, and assured her that he had the money to pay for her clothing. Even though he did not directly tell her, he figured she knew that he was willing to pay for anything she bought.
He ignored the woman in the store and walked over to a chair before situating himself in it. He decided to wait there for Mia to finish her shopping. Afterall, it might take some time since some women were so picky on what to wear.
For a moment, he thought he heard Mia laugh, but he dismissed it and continued to ponder his next move. He might have to find this carnival that Mia kept rambling on about, but where should he look first? Also why did Mia get the idea that she was a burden to him? He rather enjoyed her company more so than expected.
"Take your time." Bejei called out to Mia. "I'll just be right here."

Mia nodded, pulling out several items of clothing and going into a room that was sectioned off by a small curtain that didn't go all the way to the floor.
She slowly slipped out of her clothing in movements that were graceful so she wouldn't pull on any body part that hurt to much. It was many minutes before she finally found an outfit that was both pratical and fit her nicely.
She came out wearing a pair of black pants with a white loose blouse that tide in the front. She needed boots now. She wondered around the shop until she found a pair of knee high boots which she put on too.
Then she looked to Bejei. "I think this is all I need," she told him, smiling.

Bejei was overwhelmed with boredom, and he was falling sleep, but Mia's voice awoke him. He glanced at her new outfit and gave her a thumbs up that he approved or like it.
"Here." He untied the pouch from his belt before tossing it over to her. "That should be more than enough to cover the expenses. Go ahead, you can pay for it."

Mia took the money and paid the woman, giving Bejei what was left over. She side, feeling more comfortable in the clothing and not like she was walking around with nothing but a robe on.
Mia almost forgot. She wirled around to the shop keeper. "Have you hard of the carnival and where it might be?"
"Right outside of Hepian, not too far from here..." the woman said, smiling.
Mia looked to Bejei. "Would you like to stay here a few more days to rest?" she asked him, arching a elegant eyebrow.

Bejei tied the pouch back on the belt before stepping over to the exit. He kept his back to Mia as she asked him about taking time to rest in the small town. He saw that kind of thing as a vocation which he needed, but he would like to see what she planned to do.
"If you want to stay here then it's fine by me. I'll stay for a while." He answered with emotionlessly. "By the way, what is this circus you speak about?"

Mia smiled. "I would like to rest a while before I go back to the carnival. I wouldn't want them to hover over me too much," she said to him, a soft smile on her lips.
"Its a circus I supose, but it has a number of rides along with it. Circuses usually only have animals," she told him, opening the door slowly and walking out.

Bejei watched Mia's smile and frowned. He dislike jolly individuals, but some people just acted a certain way for so long that it became a habit. He knew about habits all too well.
He strolled out after Mia, but he wondered what she meant by rides. He thought circus didn't have rides, but he remembered it was carnival and not circus which she was referring to.
"New day... what do you have plan?" He asked while glancing around for anything potentially interesting.

Mia turned her head towards Bejei as she stopped to look back at him. "I have no idea..." she commented looking up at the bright sun. "Its a pretty day, I guess one could do anything... Is there anything you have in mind?" She paused, narrowing her eyes. "Since I'm alright now you know you don't have to stick around or anything. You can leave anytime to want to. I wouldn't want to bore you with my girly ways," she joked.

Bejei pretended like he wasn't listening to Mia. He wanted to avoid the last comment at all cost. Maybe, the anwer he gave her might upset her. He rather not say anything.
"Want to spar? I could teach you how to fight better." He replied after he was a bit lost in thought. "You don't have to worry, I won't hurt you."

Mia looked at him a bit warily. She didn't know if it was such a good idea, because after all, he did seem the type that didn't know his own strength. She really didn't want it to take longer for her to get better. But, if he promised he wouldn't hurt her, then maybe she could trust him with that.
"Alright," she told him with a soft smile.
