Lore: (mature) Running Out of Time(Just outside of Hepian)

The transfer of money and product was quick and easy. Soon, Bejei made his way back home to Mia. The night now loomed over the horizon and everthing ahead of him. He wondered if Mia would like his gift.

The journey back was far longer than the journey to the town. Maybe, he only thought it was. He grew weary, and he didn't know if he could make it back in time. He decided to take a short rest before continuing back. He only hoped Mia would rest since over exerting herself would cause more harm than help.

"Don't worry, I'll be there soon..." He closed his eyes while he rested against a tree.

Mia didn't have time to be worried whether Bejei was safe or not. She was fast a sleep, dead to the world. She didn't hear anything at all. Sometime in the night she woke up, but only blinked her eyes open and glanced over to find Bejei wasn't beside her. She was so tried though that her eyes wouldn't stay open and just as soon as she had blinked them open she shut them and fell a sleep again.

Bejei awoke during the late of night, feeling refreshing from his nap. He stood up and made his way back through the forest, happy that he had finally acquired his jewel. This time he did it through buying instead of thief.

He exited the forest and entered the carnival. Everything was quiet, and he knew people were already asleep. He opened the flaps of Mia tent to see her sleeping peacefully. He didn't want to wake her so he slipped in silent and made his way next to her. He draped the blanket over them and snuggled up against her, wrapping his left arm around her waist.

"Night..." He whispered softely before closing his eyes.

Mia unconciously snuggled closer against him as she slept. In her sleep she didn't feel the pain of her arm and leg as she moved.

Her dreams turned to nightmares though. It wasn't Bejei's fault.

"No! Don't!" But Bolrock wouldn't stop. Of course he wouldn't. He didn't care about her.

"You will have my child!"

"No!" Mia screamed adn she cried out in her sleep as well. She tried to get away from him, but he was far stronger than her and her nightmare ended with him trying once again to make a child.

Bejei awoke after he heard Mia screaming as though someone was attacking her. He shooked her slightly at first, trying to wake her, but after she didn't wake, he shooked her harder.

"Mia! Wake up! It's only a nightmare!" He called out to her. "I'm here. Don't worry." He held her tightly in his arms.

Mia came awake with a start, panting and on the verge of tears. She continued to pant, her breathe growing slower and slower as she calm downed at the sight of Bejei and his protective embrace.

She took a relaxing breath. "A dream... a horrible dream..." she pushed her head closer to him to rest her head against him.

"You're safe now. Whatever it is, it can't get you. It's only a dream." Bejei said while he cuddled Mia gently. "Rest now. You look tire."

He began to close his eyes since he somehow felt drowsy all of a sudden. He pulled the blanket up to Mia's shoulders before kissed Mia on the head.

"Dreams can't hurt you. Let's get some sleep, and I have something for you tomorrow."

Mia closed her eyes, comforted by him. But, the problem was that what was in her dreams could hurt her. She was laying right next to him this very moment. All it needed was a push to take control and he might do whatever he wanted. If Bejei couldn't hold him back.

She pushed those thoughts aside and sighed. "Good.. night..." she said as she faded out again, her breath still a bit shaky, but it evened out.

Bejei already feel asleep by then. Somehow, he still felt exhausted after the journey back. His dream was nothing but a big blur. It usually turned out that way if he didn't get enough rest.

He opened his eyes to the next morning, and he yawned before shifting his gaze to Mia. She looked so adorable while sleeping, and he enjoyed the moment so he didn't wake her. Especially with all the stress she's been put through lately.

"I have a feeling today is going to be wonderfu." He muttered under his breath.

Mia moved her head a little bit, as if she were trying to snuggle up to Bejei in her sleep. "Hmm..." she sighed softly as she felt her body grow more and more awake as her mind did to. She didn't want to wake up. She wanted to stay a sleep forever.

Her eyes fluttered open and she looked around as her vision cleared. She sighed and smiled when she saw Bejei staring back at her. "Good morning..." she said quietly.

"Morning Mia." Bejei said while he made it to his feet.

He extended his hand downward to Mia in order to bring her to her feet. He had something very important to give her, and he hoped it was good enough for her.

Mia didn't know if she could pull off the standing up with just his hand. But, she guessed she could use the good leg to push up while he pulled her to her feet with her good arm.

She pushed herself to a sitting up position, wincing at the discomfort in her leg. She grabbed his hand with her good one and smiled up at him. "Okay, lets see how this works..." She bent her good leg under her to support her weight and with a wince she pushed herself up, using him to balance on.

Bejei supported Mia onto her feet, and he's glad she felt better now. He had proposed to her, and he was thrilled, but what about her? Would she be able to put up with him for long, even though she knows Bolrock could take control anytime and violate her. He shooked off the thought and remembered he had to give her something special.

"I have something for you." He said while he fumbled inside his pocket. "Here it is. A ring my wife to be. I hope you like it." He held it in front of his face for Mia to look at.

Mia smiled and took the ring. "Its beautiful!" she said, grinning then. It was beautiful and no one had ever given her jewelry so it was very special to her. "Thank you so much!" She wrapped her good arm around his neck and kissed his lips softly. "It really is beautiful."

Bejei was glad Mia loved his gift. It had been a long time since he gave someone a gift... well a gift that didn't involve their deaths that is. He felt Mia's lips against his, and he felt all warm inside. Love is such a great feeling.

"I'm glad you like it. I picked it up while I was out." He said as he placed his arm around her shoulder. "Should we go meet your parents now?"
