Mia smiled softly. "My parents won't like either of us, so its okay. They wanted me to marry Keifer... since I was betrothed to him... My mother was simply taken with him. But, she might change her mind now that he's dead..."

She smiled at him. "We could rest there in the J'ra Village. Its beautiful and peaceful... I could get better soon I think..."

Bejei's smile returned, but he still felt uncertain that he would be accepted. He never had to worry about his late wife's parents since they were not alive so he didn't know how to handle it.

"Ok Mia." He said while he closed his eyes. "Do you mind if I take a short nap? I'm kind of tired after all the fighting and such. Don't worry, I won't let anyting happen to you my love."

Bejei leaned over and kissed Mia on the lips passionately before he pulled back and rested on the bed of pillows.

Mia smiled and believed him when he said it. He would be there to protect her. From Bolrock, from the winged man... from anyone. Though, she knew he couldn't always protect her from Bolrock... She could protect him too... by staying with Bolrock so he wouldn't harm Bejei.

If it meant having to give herself up to Bolrock in the night for him to do as he wished she would let him do so. As long as Bejei was alive... she would let him do whatever he wanted.

Mia watched him fall a sleep, a smile on her face as she laid next to him, and closed her eyes for a moment. But, her restless mind refused to let her sleep. She lied awake four hours, waiting on Bejei to wake up.

Bejei lost track of time, and he had no idea how long he had slept. When he awoke, he felt rejuvenated. It seemed resting had worked its magic, and now he's ready to take on the world once more.

"Mia... you're awake already?" He stared at her with those cold but loving eyes of his. "Do you want to go somewhere today? I'm more than happy to carry you there..."

He playfully nudged her on the shoulder as he leaned his head against hers.

Mia smiled. "Yea," she said, not telling him she stayed up all night thinking. She sighed and looked around. She didn't want to make Bejei carry her everywhere.

"I don't think I want to go anywhere... Eh... You can go where you'd like. I'll just stay here and recover."

"You want me to leave you here all alone?" Bejei said as he arched an eyebrow. "I won't do that..."

He wrapped an arm around Mia while he closed his yes again. It's not to sleep, but to think about what he should do now. Should he get Mia a ring now or later? Could he honestly leave her alone? What if the wing man came back, and he wasn't around? No. He would stay with her until she recovered fully.

"Do you want anything?" He opened his eyes before gazing right into hers.

"No, I don't want to be alone... I just don't want you to get bored sitting around here with me all day..." She said and leaned her head over against his face, her soft hair brushed his cheek. "I don't think there is anything I need... Food?"

Bejei snuggled up against Mia while he thought of how to obtained the ring. He obviously had money to pay for one, but he couldn't leave her alone. Maybe, he could wait until she got better, but he wanted to surprise her. He then realized that she said food so he intended to bring her some.

"Food it is. What do you want? I'll go get some while you just rest here." He stood up, brushing the invisible dust off his pants.

Mia smiled up at him and yawned slightly. "Oh... maybe some jerky and cheese and bread?" she asked and winced as she tried to get into a sitting up position, but it was one that was very uncomfortable so she just laid back down on her pillows. "How long, how long," she said to herself softly.

She wanted to be up and running again now... but, she forgot that it had only happened a short time ago. The other day in fact. She couldn't heal over night.

Bejei nodded his head at Mia, and without replying, he strolled out the tent to find her some food. After several minutes, he returned with the meal she ordered.

"Here it is." He placed the on a small table and laid back on the bed of pillows, waiting for Mia to eat. "Just like you order."

"Thank you," she said and reached over onto the table, grabbing some of the food with her good hand and bringing it back to her. It hurt to much to sit up and eat like a normal person, so she ate rather unlady like.
"Want some?"

Bejei watched as Mia ate. He didn't mind the way she ate since he knew she only had good arm to use. He just stood there and admired her. He still felt she is beautiful no matter what.

"No, I'm fine." He said while he stared at her. "Oh, are you going to be ok here? I planning on heading somewhere for a bit." He waited for her response before he would leave.

Mia smiled and gave a soft nod. "I'll be fine. I'll just lay around and sleep... I didn't get much sleep last night so I will catch up on it. Go on and do what you need to do," she said softly.

Bejei nodded his head to Mia, and he kissed her gently on the forehead before he made his way out her tent. He glanced back at her tent, feeling he should not leave her alone, but he had to go somewhere for a while. He hoped she would be ok by herself.

He left the carnival and traveled back into the woods. He knew of a place where jewelry was sold, and he had his eye on a particular jewel the moment he saw it. It would make a great gift for Mia. He journeyed farther until he came out of the forest and towards a small town. He came upon a small shack. It's definitely the place. Without wasting time, he strolled on in.

"Hi." The man greeted him. "I see you saw something you like the first time you're here."

Bejei said nothing as he walked up to the man. The man was definitely right, and he was there to purchase it.

Mia smiled at him as he left and she continued eating her food until it was all gone. She then had nothing better to do than lie sill and stair at the ceiling. After a long while her eyes grew heavy and weary. It wasn't surprising since she hadn't slept at all that night.

Mia laid there, half a sleep and thinking of many things. Mostly about the fact she lost a child. She couldn't help but wonder what it would have been like to keep the child...

But, it probably would have been evil since it was Bolrock's...

She knew he would try again for another child. But, she thought that maybe now Bejei could actually protect her from him.
