Lore: (mature) Running Out of Time(Just outside of Hepian)

This is the forest that covers most of Ighten in dense and thick trees. It is the oldest forest in Heirot, since most of the Forests in Arken have been destroyed. It is well known as a haunted forest where ghosts and demons reside. In the forest are many villages. The villagers will tell you tales of trees that eat people, gaint spiders, and dragon lairs.

Dryden barely missed it, barely, just centimeters more and he would have been a dead man. He regained his balance after a moment, swinging his sword in Bejei's direction.

Blood ran down Dryden's back, slowly he was loosing more and more. It wouldn't be long, he knew, before his healing took over... But, then he would truely be vulnerable.

"I will enjoy every minute of her screams," Dryden taunted, enjoying the rage that spilled forth from Bejei.

Bejei couldn't move aside as the blade split his flesh on the left arm and spilled blood. He took a step back and without even knowing it, he hurled a blue orb at Dryden.

The doctor needed more supplies so he left the tent and went back to the hospital.

Dryden couldn't dodge this... It slammed into his chest with such force it sent him flying backwards and landing on the ground in a role.

He looked down at the sudden stiff feeling in his feet and arms. He looked down to find that they were turning a stony gray color.

He had no time to wait around. No woman was worth this. Not even one as beautiful as her.

The winged man took to the sky, flying away to find a safe place for his healing to take over.

Bejei's alterating form didn't let up as he chased Dryden from the ground, but he instantly remembered Mia and stopped. He sheathed the katana and strolled back to the tent to find the doctor tending to her wounds. It seemed the doctor had supplies ready, applying the necessary items on her.

"How is she?" He asked with his form slowly changing still, and his right eye growing a bright red.

Without looking, the doctor told him things were going to be ok since her condition is stable.

Mia heard someones voice, it was almost as if the voice was calling her awake. She opened her eyes slightly, glancing around at the still blurry images.

"B..." she tried saying, but it was soft and didn't want to come out. "B...e..." she tried again.

She grew so frustrated because she couldn't seem to talk. She tasted blood in her mouth and it made her want to vomit. She moved and almost screamed. A tear trailed down the side of her face.

Bejei immediately gasped with horror at Mia's condition, and he gently pushed her back onto the pillows to rest her. He noticed the blood from Mia's mouth and stomach. Something else worried him, he could sense that Mia felt different during the last three weeks. He couldn't place his finger on it though.

The doctor nodded to Bejei as he gave him some medicine to ease the pain for Mia. He then bowed his head and left them alone, but before he left, he didn't want to give Bejei the bad news so he gave Bejei some hints on her condition.

Mia laid there, feeling as helpless as a new born child. She wanted to cry because she just knew she was going to die. This much pain and weakness could only to one thing. She wanted to cry because she hurt so much. Her arms and legs and back and nick and head.... everything.

"B...j....I...ov....ov..." she couldn't finish it with out choking on a sob.

"Don't try to talk. Here take some medicine." Bejei place a pill inside Mia's mouth, hoping she would swallow it to ease her pain.

He wiped the tear from her eyes, and something kept telling him that something other than the injuries was causing her so much pain. He contemplated the obvious answer, but he knew it could be it. How could it be? He didn't see any signs... or did he misread them?

She couldn't help but cry. It felt like her insides were being ripped out. She swallowed the medicen, but desperately needed water. She wished her arms could work because she wanted Bejei to hold her tightly.

A shocking pain hit her and she gripped a pillow with her good arm so tightly that her nuckles turned white.

Bejei forgot about the water, but immediately found some and poured into Mia's mouth slowly. He saw her tensed up a bit, and he knew the pain was getting worse. He wanted to hold her, but he was afraid of hurting her more in the process.

"Please be ok..." He muttered to himself.

He tried to put things into perspective, but all he thought about was Mia's health. She came first before anything else, and he could figure out the other part later.

The pain grew so intense that she could lie still. Her good leg came up and then with out thinking she went to move her bad leg, which was splinted thanks to the doctor.

She cried out, finally able to break through whatever wall had been blocking her vocal activity. She immediatly went still, staring at Bejei with watery eyes, tears leaking down her cheeks. She wanted him to hold her, but she knew he wouldn't want to hurt her more.

Bejei saw her struggling, but he could not nothing about it. He did not want to move her anymore. It would put more strain on her already weaken condition. He just had to watch her, and supply her with the medicine.

"Please don't cry." His crimson orb fading back to hazel as he stared at her. "I'm here now. No one else is going to harm you."

He caressed her cheek with his hand as he smiled warmly at her.

She didn't want to cry in front of him. She didn't want him to worry or make him sad. She just wanted the pain to go away.

Even though she was in pain the simple gesture of his touch made things seem a little bit better. He comforted her with his hand on her cheek.

After what seemed like forever it grew so intense that she couldn't handle it any more. She tried not to move, but she moved often. Finally she seemed to just fade off into sleep, exhausted.

Bejei was glad Mia fell asleep. It was better that way since she didn't have to withstand the pain. Seeing her agonizing was unbearable, but he had to be strong for her. He had to.

"Rest now..." He fell onto the side, placing one arm across her chest, holding her while he watched over her.

Mia was a sleep for hours and hours it seemed. She slept all the way until the middle of the night when she woke feeling like she needed something to drink.

She opened her eyes and found she felt a pressure on her chest. She turned her head sorely towards the side to find the source of the pressure. She saw Bejei's face.

"Bejei..." she whispered.
