Lore: A Test of Strength and Love

Elena looked at where he had stood in such confusion that her eyes were narrowed and her face wasn't wearing the best expression.

Elena sighed and walked to her dress that was on the floor where she left it last night. She lifted it up and examined it. She frowned but decided to put it on any way.

Airen walked over to the bar and ordered a nice pint of ale. He took a big swallow,"Mmm... that's good," he said to the demon next to, who was barely even able to stay on his stool.

Airen settled himself down and tried to think about eveything that had recently happened. As he tried to organize his thoughts he drank a little more of his ale.

'Shea can't have our child' he thought to himself. 'there's gotta be something I can do.'

He decided he would think more about it when it came time for it. He thought about the night before and how he and Elena had embraced each other in a way they had never done before. He smiled. Then he remembered that Elena needed some clothes. He threw down a couple of gold pieces on the bar and pated the demon on the back. "Take it easy buddy" he said to the drunk demon in a humored tone.

Airen went to several shops to find something for Elena to wear and got her several things. He couldn't really find anything fit for her but figured they would be better than the rags she had. He decided he would get her something better after they got out of Arken.

He rushed back up to the room and gave her the clothes he had picked up for her. When he got there he heard her humming in the bathroom.

Elena hadn't noticed him coming back in. She was in the bath room trying to make something decent out of the ragged dress. She was sitting on the counter, contemplating her mark again and wondering if she could find a way to get it off.

Airen waited a moment and began to wonder if she was going to come out. He knocked on the door then eased it open.

Elena jumped slightly when the door opened and smiled when she saw Airen's head. "Hi!" she said softly, draping her ragged skirt back over her tattooed hip.

"Have a nice drink?"

Airen saw the mark on her hip and didn't even noticed she had said anything. He wondered why he hadn't noticed it before. "What is that?" he pointed at her hip.

Did he not notice her mark last night when they were...

She lifted her skirt again and looked down at the tattoo. "Oh... It was... well when Gargon put his hand on my hip... after he ripped my skirt... It burned like hell... and when he removed his hand this mark was there... I thought it might go away if he died, but I guess it won't."

Airen thought about the mark and realized there was really nothing he could do about it now. " Have you tried to wash it off?" he asked.

Elena nodded and traced it with a finger. "Its like a tattoo or something," she said softly and looked back at him. "What do you think of it? Does it make me look sexy?" she asked, a light blush coming to her cheeks since it was something one such as herself wouldn't usually say.

Airen looked at her in surprise not expecting the question." You don't need a tattoo to make you sexy." he said, " you already are."

He walked up to her and put his arms around her."I got you something." he said.

Elena blushed and grinned, lowering her head until he said he had something for her. She looked up, enjoying his arms around her, being close to him.

"You have something for me?" she asked with a smile. "What is it?"

"I don't know," he said with a smile. "You will have to go and look on the bed.

He kissed her lips and pulled his arms back from around her so she could move.

Elena smiled, arching an eyebrow at him as she moved away and went out to look on the bed. There she found dresses. Elena smiled and ran to them, so happy to have something nice to wear!

"Oh thank you!" she called to him, slipping her tattered dress off and pulling on one of the new ones.

Airen watched Elena as she put on the new dresses. When she dropped her ragged dress, he saw the tattoo on her hip. He couldn't help thinking that there was a reason for it. He didn't let it bother him to much though and he smiled as he saw her dancing around the room.

"So I take it you like them!" He said with a grin.

"I do!" Elena said, buttoning up the dress and tying the sash around her waist. "Its comfortable and pretty... Its hard to believe a man picked it out!" She said jokingly, giving him a wink.
