Tenele didn't notice Vlad telepot behind her. She just kept her eyes on the cross bow. She figured now that she probably should have tired to take out this man first, but now she didn't have the chance.

She watched as the mans finger moved and Tenele moved to the side quickly, the arrow head digging into her shoulder as she tripped on the two inch border around the edge of the roof, her hand going to her shoulder as she slipped off backwards.

The first scene Vlad's eyes immediately took in when he reached the rooftop was the sound of the crossbow firing and Tenele sailing backward off the roof. Eyes narrowing, he disappeared and took form beside her in the air, taking her body into his arms, and then they both disappeared, reforming safely on the ground a half-block away. Vlad either kneeled or collapsed to one knee to put Tenele down, looking dazed for a moment. That final port had been more difficult than he'd anticipated, and he still felt the sting in his chest.

He quickly lost focus on that, however, as the keen scent of blood drew his attention back to her shoulder. An instant later, the crossbowman's voice called out from the area behind them.

"Boss! A spy, she's getting away!"

"You had all the fun without me," Vlad commented without much humor, lifting her back up swiftly, yet gently and carrying her at an inhuman sprint out of range of where her attackers would think to chase her. He finally slowed and looked down at her wound. "I'll bring you to a doctor," he said, his grin gone.

Tenele looked at her shoulder and then at Vlad a bit dazed herself. She shook her head as he lifted her up again. Since he had the whole inhuman strength thing going he could carry her like she weighed nothing more than a child.

"I'll bring you to a doctor," he said, his grin gone.

Tenele shook her head and bit her lip. It was just in the shoulder, nothing major it wouldn't kill her. She didn't need a doctor, just a few bandages to hold the blood in for a while... Well, she figured she need to get the arrow out to find out first.

"No... I just need to pull the arrow out..." she told him, though she would get him to do that. She could barely pull a splinter out. It was just something about pain that she didn't like very much. Low pain tolerance she guessed.

Vladimir's grin returned just slightly at the girl's boldness. "Where are your quarters?" he asked.

Tenele turned her head to the side and looked at there surroundings. "The Dragon's Gut... but really you'd be better treating me in a pit of garbage..."

That reminded Tenele of the time she tricked Vlad into doing all the work of digging for Adrian's body in the pits of the dead that didn't have money to be buried or weren't worth a proper barial in the first place.

At this, Vlad brought her to a bench on the main street where no one was around and set her down there. "Bear with this, Maiden Girl," he warned, placing one hand around the puncture and grasping the shaft of the arrow with the other.

Tenele made a sound as if the idea of "bearing with it" was sarcastic to her. She leaned her head back, held on to the arm of the bench and squeezed on it hard, awaiting the pain of having an arrow ripped backwards. It was painful to have it go in, but even more painful to have it pulled out.

"Just like old times," Tenele said, smirking slightly as her green eyes looked up and into Vladimir's

"That's right. No crying, now," Vladimir teased with a twisted smirk as his strong hand pulled the arrow back along the direction it entered, audibly tearing her flesh with the back of the arrowhead. He did it quickly, and extended a claw to cut aside her shirt just as quickly to place his palm firmly onto the wound. The arrow cracked in half in his other hand, maneuvered the two halves into his palm, and cracked again into four before dropping in splinters to the ground.

Tenele cried out, closing her eyes and shooting back into her seat, cluting the arm of the bench. She heard a ripping and popping sound and when her vision cleared she looked at Vladimir and then at his hand, noticing her shirt was off her shoulder. She then noticed that whatever he did ripped a few of the buttons off or something.

She was in to much pain to really think about the fact she was out in the open with her shirt complete open revealing something that would look very much like a bra.

"Was... that... really necessary?" she asked softly, her eyes widening as it finally came to her that she was shirtless... "You know... I don't live in Hepian. I can't just go home and get another one! Ahh..." She moved slightly and the wound flared up.

Vlad's grin widened. "Don't flatter yourself, woman. No one is going to look," he said, his thoughts more on the warm blood he could feel pulsing under his palms. He maintained firm pressure there, waiting for the bleeding to slow.

"What a charming thing to say," Tenele said and closed her eyes. But inside she wondered if Vlad thought she was ugly or something. She didn't know why the thought came to her like that, it just did.

She shook the thought from her head. It was really ridicules, what did she care that Vlad didn't like the way she looked.... But, in truth she did care.

Vlad didn't notice the impact of his words, not bothering to read Tenele's mind as he focused on what he was doing. When the bleeding slowed and became controllable, he removed his hands from the wound and cut the already-shredded front of her shirt into several long strips for a bandage. Turning back to the wound, he graced a hand against the curve of her shoulder and licked the wound, spending several moments cleaning it in a gesture that in any other context would have been unmistakably erotic, before binding the wound with bandages and tying them off firmly behind her shoulder.

Tenele kept her eyes closed until she felt the soft feeling of hand grazing over her shoulder and then the feeling of Vlad's tongue going over the wound. At first she hissed slightly, because this wasn't just a cut... it was a hole.

Tenele suddenly felt that strange drawn feeling. Though it was slightly gross that he was licking her wound he was a vampire and it was understandable. She watched for a moment, taking in deep breaths that she didn't know she had been holding on with out. She closed her eyes slowly as that strange feeling took over.

She had been told many times by people that vampires were alluring creatures, there was something in there darkness that made them attractive to people. It seemed to Tenele that the more she thought about what it would be like to be a vampire the more she became drawn to Vladimir. At first she didn't like him at all and now... It was like she was almost lusting after him. Could that be true?

Vlad sat back to be further from the intoxicating scent of her blood, feeling the chills starting up in him again. He frowned to himself; he was beginning to see a pattern here, and he wasn't liking it. He looked away from Tenele and choked on a nauseous tension in his throat, made a strangled cough behind sealed lips, and spit out a mouthful of blood. He stared at it in contemplation for a moment, a glassy bead of sweat rolling down his neck as his body protested against something.

Tenele's eyes opened at the strange sound coming from Vlad just in time to see him spit out the blood. Her green eyes narrowed and she looked his face over noticing the bead of sweat. She tilted her head, bringing her shirt around and pulling it over her chest, a small patch of blood on the shirt that grew slightly bigger when she did so. She sat up and looked at him in a confused manner.

"Is there... something wrong?" she asked him, holding the shirt closed.
