"Not tired, eh?" Soran said dispassionately, throwing a few logs on the fire. "In that case, I'll leave the watch to you. If any zephyrs come, I'll be counting on you," he said, waving his hand indifferently as he walked toward Mizuki's tent and ducked inside. Of course, it was a joke, though coming from Soran it was hard to tell. Actually he had just gone in to check on Mizuki.
"You okay in here?" he asked her calmly as he entered the tent, sitting just inside the flap with Blade curled in his arm. When she didn't answer, he repeated, "Oy, Mi-" but stopped as he realized she'd already fallen asleep. "Huh," he murmured to himself, glancing at Blade before leaving the tent quietly and going back to the campfire.

She blinked and tilted her head, a few curls falling in front of her eyes. "But... but!" Then she grinned and put her hands behind her back, swaying back and forth innocently. "Okay! I will... if you give me a sword!" she said, her cute grin turing mischievious.

"Forget it. What if a nocturnal butterfly comes through the camp? Then we'll all be dead for sure," Soran commented as he sat down next to the fire.

Rai looked at him and put her hands on her hips. "Nu-uh! butterflies don't fly at night. There to scared fairies will hop on them!" Rai said in a matter-of-fact tone.

Blade giggled at the conversation of butterflies. "Booerfly!" he tried to say, a big grin on his face as he looked to Soran for approval. Inside the tent Mizuki's eyes fluttered open and she thought she saw Soran hovering over her.
"Soran?" she whispered but as soon as she had seen him he vanished. Sitting up she rubbed her eyes and dissmissed it as a trick of the light. "Oy... I fell asleep?" She smoothed her hair and exited her tent to find Soran sitting next to the fire and Rai protesting about butterflies.
"What's this about nocturnal butterflies and fairies?" Mizuki called out smiling.

"Soran won't let me stay up with a sword!" Rai said, putting her small hands on her hips and tapping a foot. She tried to keep from yawning but her mouth opened slightly, she tried to make it look like she was sighing in an awkuard way.

"Yes, I'm a horrible bully," Soran announced dully as he pushed the logs in the fire back together with a stick. Next he looked over at Mizuki unreadably. "Have a good nap? If you're tired, you can go back to sleep," he said.

"Yes!" said Rai with a grin. "Because I have watch and Soran is going to give me a sword!" Rai walked over to Soran, looking up at him with her bright sparkling eyes. "Isn't that right Soran?" Her eyes took on a rather "evil" look like the type of look a child would give you when their about to do something particularly nasty, such as tying your shoe strings to your chair or putting washing out mud pies in the sink.

Mizuki shook her head and walked over to Rai and picked her up, balancing the little half elf on her hip like she did with Blade. "No swords for you until you get proper training. Since I got swimming, Soran will teach you fighting." she said and grinned at Soran who had Blade squirming in his lap. "And who says you're taking first watch?" She quirked a brow at the both of them.

Soran stared into the fire indignantly, remembering the last time he'd let Rai handle his blades, and she hadn't even been swinging them. "I'm staying out here, so you may as well sleep," he said sternly.

Rai had already fallen a sleep on Mizuki's arm after being comfortable and lying her head down for a split second. She must have been really tired at the rather alarming rate she had fallen a sleep, oblivious to what anyone said after that. Her eyes were closed gently and her breathing was soft.

"I'm staying out here, so you may as well sleep," Soran said sternly. Mizuki would've retorted if she hadn't felt Rai go limp in her arms. 'She fell asleep.' Mizuki thought lovingly. She smiled softly.
"I'll put this one in bed then come back out for that one." She said softly pointing to her son who ended up making Soran's arms and chest into and nice place to sleep.

Soran nodded as Mizuki walked off, looking down at the small form he'd almost forgotten he was holding.

Mizuki carefully stepped inside the tent she was sleeping in and placed Rai on her bedroll. From the packs she rolled out another one in that tent for where she would place her son. She walked out quietly and over to Soran. Barely making a sound she lifted Blade from Soran's arms, then reached a snag. Blade was gripping Soran's coat, and Mizuki had no free hand's to pry Blade's hand away.

Soran froze as Blade's small hand grasped onto his coat. He wondered why the child would grasp onto him like that, but in a way he understood. "I guess I'll go too," he derived calmly, standing up to join Mizuki on her mission back to the tent.
