(LORE) HEALING

Mizuki responded by hugging him tighter. She kissed his neck once, lightly, then relaxed against him. She ran her hand up and down his arm, trying to lull him to sleep.

"Silly man," she said tiredly. "Keep that up and..." she yawned, "Blade will be just like you."

Soran smirked with his eyes closed, wondering how the logic was meant to flow in that sentence, but he figured either she was a little loopy or he was really that tired. He rested his face into her hair and sank into sleep.

Mizuki smiled, feeling that he had finaly gone to sleep but soon followed after him. His wound going unnoticed, but obviously not much of a bother.

Rai woke, it was dark. She looked around worriedly, it was too dark for her to see where she was. She tried to sit up, but it hurt too much. She didn't want to move at all, having gotten stiff. Usually it didn't take this long to get over it...

"Oww..." she whimpered.

She gritted her teeth and pushed hard. The blood on her hands had dried, but not before it had gotten all over her bed. She didn't know this of course, because it was too dark.

Rai rolled herself, since she couldn't sit up and get out.

She fell to the floor with a thud and a yelp. She thought that it was her room, since the floor was wood. But, every place could have wood floors and a bed.

She pushed herself up slightly and crawled, since she didn't have the strength to stand.

"Hello?" she asked.

No one answered.

Mizuki woke up startled to hear a yelp coming from across the hall. At first she didn't know what it was, and then she remembered putting Rai to bed. As fully awake as she'll ever be, Mizuki eased out of the bed with Soran, carefull not to disturb him. Once out, she gently kissed his forehead then quietly left the room. It had gotten dark out, how long had they been asleep? Mizuki shrugged it off and entered Rai's dark room. They seriously needed to set up candle lighting for this place.

"Rai?" she called out, care of where she was stepping in the dark.

"M-mizuki?" she asked wearily. "I'm glad it is you..."She laid down on the floor, to tired to move anymore. "I didn't know where I was... It was too dark... Are we home? Is everyone okay? Soran?"

"Yes," Mizuki responded softly. "We're home and were all okay." She smiled even though Rai wouldn't see. Mizuki managed to manuver around in the dark room and found Rai laying on the floor. "Soran is sleeping now, but maybe he would like to see you in the morning?" Blindly, Mizuki crouched down and put her hand out to find her, her hand landed softly on Rai's arm.

"How are you sweety?"

"I'm okay," Rai lied, since it was too dark to see Mizuki couldn't tell... So it was okay to lie.

"Just got confused," she tried to giggle, but it was a poor one indeed.

"I'm sorry." Mizuki apologized. She didn't know what to do. Rai, Mizuki already knew wasn't going to tell her the truth. She would tell Soran though...

She tilted her head, sensing something from Mizuki. "Really, mom..." she said. "I'm alright... nothing that won't go away soon..."

Mizuki blinked at the mom comment, she let it pass though. Rai was still a child, without her reall parents... someone had to raise her. That's all that mattered, and Mizuki loved Rai like a daughter.

"Alright," she sighed. She made a face that Rai couldn't see as she remembered Rai was on the floor. "How about we get you back on your bed? Unless your Soran's little copycat, I think the bed is more comfortable than a hardwood floor." She light heartedly joked with the child.

"Yes," she giggled tiredly. "It is better. Soran is silly for sleeping on the floor." She yawned softly.

Mizuki smiled and lifted Rai, blanket and all, back onto the bed. She then kissed Rai's forehead gently and lovingly. "Get some sleep. Tomorrow morning will be a new day, and we've had an eventful evening."

Rai nodded again and yawned. "Good night," she said softly. "Sleep well.... mommy..." She didn't even finish the world mommy before she was a sleep again. She was so tired.

Mizuki smiled and straightened. "Goodnight sweetheart." she left the room quietly then closed the door behind her. Yawning herself, Mizuki unconsciously went back into the room where Soran slept and cuddled back beside him. She had kicked off her boots and slipped into a nightdress without thinking before she had climbed into bed next to Soran.
