Bejei also circled Keifer and awaited his attack. He suspected the other lycans would not harm Mia if Keifer did not order them to. He knew she would be safe for the time being, but he had to put her pursuer out of his misery before anything could escalate further.

His crimson pupils burned even brighter, and he gradually felt himself losing control as he tried to concentrate on Keifer. It's the evil entity within that began to take effect, and he knew if he didn't finish them off soon then he would completely lose himself.

Bejei rolled to the side to avoid Keifer's lunge, and with quickly reflexes, he flipped onto his feet and leapt in at the lycan. He thrust the katana forward, targeting the heart of Keifer, hoping to put him out of commission once and for all. He knew with the lycans leader down, they would surely attack him or harm Mia, but that's a chance he had to risk.

Keifer roared painfully with the blade went through him, plunging into his heart. His thick furred arms spread out beside him and his lycan had reared back as he cried out for a moment. Then he grabbed Bejei’s blade and pushed it out, growling menacingly. He was going to have to take Keifers head off or find something silver… it was the only way.

Mia was left with only one lycan that had manage to pin her between a pole and him… Her friend was still fighting with the other one, trying to get a good hit on the head.

Mia kicked him in the head, but it seemed this one wasn’t as good at following orders as the other one was. He snarled and snapped at Mia making her jump back a little. She held the blanket tighter around her, feeling very uncomfortable with being out in the open and naked…

Bejei's attack was right on target, and he could feel the katana sliding easily through Keifer's flesh. He actually felt the attack would kill the lycan, but his plan did not come out as he predicted. It would seem the attack only made Keifer angrier, and it did little damage to the lycan. He knew the stories about lycans, and he fought a few during his life, but he had no silver with him to fight them off with.

"Damn!" He cursed angrily under his breath as Keifer pulled the katana out of him with a nasty snarl.

He was out of option, but there's still one thing he hadn't try yet. He could try to sever the head of the beast, and if that didn't stop him then nothing else will.

Bejei moved in for the kill when his head was bombarded with pain. The agony tored at him like claws, forcing its way into his brain. He stumbled back from Keifer, grabbing his head with the free hand while he grimaced. The dark entity within the boundaries of his mind and soul began to take control over his mind before assuming control of the body afterwards.

"Ah!!!!" He yelled out as the pain increased. "Get the hell out of me!"

Bejei tried to fight off the pain as he focused his burning red pupils at Keifer's lycan form. He knew there was little time to waste before the evil spirit claims his mind and body for good. He immediately rushed at Keifer, slashing several times across his body before finishing the attack by unleashing a powerful slash across the lycan's neck, hoping to end the fight before he lose all sense of control.

Keifer's eyes were wide as he saw Bejei flash towards him, slashing away at his form. But, he didn't have time to think... or even move. His head went tumbling to the ground, rolling across to where the slain body of one his commrads laid.

Mia watched with a surprised expression, surprised more about what Bejei had yelled, than the head rolling across the ground. She stared at it as it turned into the J'ra form, and then her eyes flowed to Bejei. She forgot all about the lycan that had her blocked off.

It soon relieved himself from the cluster of tents, running through a pack of frightened on lookers. Mia let out a breath she didn't know she was holding, still leaning against the pole. Mia couldn't do anything at the moment but stare at Bejei.

Keifer was dead, yes... but there was something tht was new to fear. Why was Bejei screaming for something to get out of his head...

Mia swallowed the unsure feeling and took several steps forward, cluching the blanket to her slim form. "Bejei?" she asked cautiously. "Are you... alright?"

Bejei's katana swiftly slice through the tough hide of Keifer's lycan form. It seemed an impossible kill to him, but he succeeded nevertheless. It was a clean cut, right through the neck, and the head just tumbled off onto the ground before rolling a few more feet.

He stood there like a statue, in the same motion after he completed the kill. The katana leveled diagonally across his body while he stared into space. The facial expression of Bejei revealed nothing. It seemed as though he was staring at nothing. It's like his mind was somewhere else while his physical form remained intact.

After hearing the voice of someone very familiar, his gaze gradually shifted to that individual. He eventually noticed the voice of the person to be none other than Mia, the girl he opened his heart to not too long ago.

"Mia..." Bejei sheathed the katana while his crimson eyes alterated back to his original hazel eyes. "Mia..." He immediately collapsed to the ground after saying her name.

Mia's heart stopped for a moment. She watched as Bejei fell to the ground, landing with a thud. Her eyes widened, her breath caught in her throat.

She rushed to his side, falling down beside him. "Bejei?" Her hand touched his face, cupping his cheek.

"Some one! Help!"

They carried Bejei to the local infirmary inside Hepian's walls. Mia walked all the way there in nothing but that blanket. She didn't want to leave his side.

At the infirmary they his armor for him, they bandaged his wounds. After that they allowed Mia in.

"Lady! Your dripping blood everywhere!" Mia looked down, just now remembering the slash on her leg from Keifer's dagger.

They bandaged her up as well and the doctors wife allowed her to borrow a simple lavander dress.

She was worried for him, because she was afraid that the curse had been passed to him. That he would soon be a lycan. It was all her fault too.

She should have never asked Terion to kill Keifer.

Mia sat beside Bejei's bed. Her head was lying beside him, she was sleeping, though she didn't intend to at first. One of her hands held his.

Bejei eyes twitched a few times before he opened them. His eyes were half blurry while he glanced to the side to see a woman. At first, he could not tell who it was until he saw her holding his hand. He did not want to wake her since she barely had any sleep that night.

"What happened?" He muttered under his breath.

He was oblivious at how he ended up in an infirmary. He had no recollection of what happened after the lycans showed up. He tried to remember, but it only made his head hurt. He hoped he would remember in due time.

Bejei stared at Mia as he squeezed her hand lightly. He wished everything would be ok, but something told him that things had changed.

"Good! You're away!" came a high pitched girls voice as one of the doctors came up beside his bed. Her eyes fell on Mia and she covered her mouth quickly. "Oh, I'm sorry... I didn't see her there... My she's been there an awfully long time." The nurse set the glas of water on the bed side table. "Hmm... maybe we should get her moved to some place more comfortable?"

The nurse came back with the doctors son, a young man around the age of 18. As he went to lift Mia up she unconciously squeezed Bejei's hand tighter. Though her grip released when the doctors son shifted her away to the other bed beside Bejei.

The nurse came back to Bejei and pulled back his covers to reveal his bandaged wounds. "Hmm.... I might need to change them," she said more to herself than him. "You bled through already!"

Bejei stared at the woman while placing a finger vertically across his lips, indicating for her to keep her voice at a minimum in order not to awake Mia. He hoped she didn't wake Mia, and when he glanced over to her, she sleep peacefully. Good.

He was glad the nurse brought help and a bed for Mia. He felt her grasp tightened on his hand as the young man pulled her away. He did not want to let her hand go, but it's for the best. He knew she needed her rest.

As the nurse revealed to him the wounds on his body, he stared at it for a brief moment, not knowing how something like that occurred without his recollection. He still vaguely remembered what happened after the lycans appeared. He hoped he would get his answers soon. He wondered if Mia knew anything, but he would wait to ask her after she rested.

"Was I like this when I was brought in?" Bejei asked the nurse with bewilderment. "I don't recall incurring the injuries you're bandaging right now."

The nurse looked at him for a moment. How could he not recall getting bitten by a lycan?

"Uh... your were brought in like this... You fought lycans... or so the woman said. Your injuries were caused by possible bites or scratches. THe girl only had a minor slash that the doctor will sew up soon. WE have cleansed the wounds, but... there might be... well... the infection- I mean the curse... it could have passed to you." She tried to put it as sypathetic as possible, but it was just to hard.

"I really am sorry that we don't know for sure," the nurse said, lowering her head. She had dark eyes and black hair, her face looked a bit pale in the dim candle light.

She covered Bejei with the blanket one more time and made a slight bow of her head. She then excused herself from the room.

The doctor came back some time later from a house call, coming into the room to check on his patients. "Good morning," he said to Bejei, bringing some cream with him.

"I'm sure you won't want me to put this on you, so you can do it yourself... I'll work on your friend while you do that..."

Bejei stared at the nurse with widen eyes as she revealed to him the bad news of his wounds. He hang his head with discomfort after realizing what happened to him that faithful night. Now with the curse of those disgusting lycans, he would soon become one at the first night of a full moon. He feared becoming a beast like such, but there's nothing could do to prevent it from occurring.

He did not like pity so he disregarded the nurse's sympathy and apology. He had too much things running in his head to think straight, and he didn't even notice the doctor until he saw him work on Mia. He wished he could turn back the hands of time and altered everything, but wishes are only dreams.

He began to rub the cream on himself when he heard a strange voice.

"You don't have to worry..."

What? He glanced around, but the only people in the room was Mia, the doctor and himself. Who could be saying that? Or was it all in his head? What's the odd sensation that he's feeling? It felt so new, but at the same time he felt it before. What's going on?

"You are not tainted by the lycanthrope curse. I made sure of that." The cold and coarse voice projected into his thoughts once more. "Come. Come outside, and I will reveal myself to you."

Bejei figured he must be delirious, and it's an after shock since he found out he might turn into a lycan. No matter, he was curious to see if he was imagining it all so he decided to do as the voice suggested.

He quietly crept out of bed without disturbing the doctor or Mia as he made his way out the door. He stealthily slid outside the building while he waited for the voice to reveal itself, but nothing came. He was about to head back inside when the voice spoke again.

"Go to that pond over there, and you shall find me." The voice grew more geniune but sinister at the same time.

Bejei heed the voice's words as he awkwardly made his way to the pond. After arriving there, he gazed into the shadowly depths of the pond only to look at his own reflection. He took another closer look, and he noticed something strange... his eyes. His normal hazel eyes were completely red like the color of fresh blood. How could this be?

"Yes Bejei... there I am." He pointed at his own reflection in the pond. "I'm the separate entity that also inhabits your very body. You and I are one."

Bejei immediately stepped back in shock more than fear. He was lost for words, and no matter what he tried to say, it wouldn't come out.

"Take your time Bejei, although you don't have all the time in the world after I gain control of your body for good. It's nice of you to awaken me during your little scuffle with those beasts. I do owe you that much."

OOC: Oooooo! This should get interesting! Is it going to take him over every now and then? :D

IC: By the time Mia came to the doctor had finished the last stitches. She didn't feel any pain because of the medication, but it didn't take long to wear off.

When she regained her composure she looked over to find Bejei... but he wasn't there.

"Do you know where the man that was in that bed went?" she asked the doctor curiously.

"The doctor looked over atthe bed. "I.... well... he was just there a moment again... hmmm... I don't know where he could have gone..."

Mia grew slightl worried though she didn't know exactly why. She thanked the doctor and told him the carnival would pay the expenses. She left.

Once outside she looked all around for Bejei, but all she could see was a mass of people that weren't him.

The thought that he mighth ave done exactly what she feared came to her in a heart wrenching moment. That he took her heart and left. But, until she knew for sure she wouldn't sucumb to that panick. Not yet.

OOC: Yes, the evil spirit that resides within Bejei will gradually gain control of his body, and it will often appear.

BIC: Bejei continued to stare at his reflection in the pond, and he tried to comprehend everything that's happening at the moment, and events leading up to it. He did not know why the evil spirit dwelled within him, but he had some clue how it was released.

"Bejei, if I'm not mistaken, I believe you have strong feelings for this girl... Mia. I can feel it, and your thoughts told me so." The coarse voiced said. "That's why you defended her from those lycans. Don't try to deny it since I know everything."

"You can read my thoughts and feelings? What are you? How did you get inside of me? Tell me!" Bejei screamed at the reflection in the pond.

"Your answers will come soon enough, but tell me this... why would you risk your life as well as my existence in order to save this girl? How could you be so foolish? Your survival is priority one, and it always comes first no matter what."

"Shut up! Get out of me or I will forst you out!" Bejei shouted angrily. "You're the fool that thinks it can take my body."

"I guess it's a touchy subject to talk about your girlfriend like that. No matter, you can't do a thing to me anyway. Besides, she does have a sweet body and quite the looker... and I will violate her before I dispose of her. After I can control of your body that is." The evil spirit spoke with a cold and sinister tone.

Bejei frowned with anger when he referred to Mia as nothing more than a waste of life and effort. He was beginning to get tired of the voice, and he wanted to get rid of it, but he didn't know how.

"Bejei, I know what you're thinking. You're thinking of how to get rid of me, and don't bother since you and I are now one. With my awakening, there's no stopping me from taking over your existence. Also don't get yourself hung up on this Mia." The spirit replied. "I remember you being cold, cruel, and calculated, but now you're weak because of her. I know you though, and you will eventually have to leave her anyway unless you want your enemies to kill her to get to you. Think about it..."

Bejei couldn't take it anymore so he picked up a rock and tossed it into the water at his relfection. After the impact, the red eyes vanished a long with the voice. He breathed a sigh of relief while he glanced off into the distance.

Mai wondered around, thinking of a place he might go. She took Bejei for the type of person who would not like to be around a lot of people. So she wondred out of one of the side gates into the city.

She saw him in the distance at a pond, and a smile crept onto her face. He must have needed some fresh air.

She came up behind him, trying to be as quiet as possible. "Feeling alright?" she asked him, placing her elegant hand on his shoulder. She smiled softly, though she had this strange feeling that he wasn't doing alright at all.

"You should be resting." She told him, kneeling down by his side and putting her hand in the cool water. "Hmm... good enough to swim." She smiled, glancing back at him.

Bejei sensed the coming of Mia long before he felt her warm touch on his shoulder. He wanted to embrace her once more, but he feared what would happen if the creature living inside him rose in control like it had... possibly during the fight with the lycans. He began to recall bits and pieces of the fight, but things were still too obscure to put into perspective.

He stared into the distance while his eyes wandered off a little to see Mia beside him, touching the water. He said nothing to her since he wanted to enjoy the time they were spending together. He had no intentions of hurting her, but he might have to go away until he could sort things out. He knew Mia would take it the wrong way, but it's the last resort, and he might not have any other choice.

Bejei's frowned altered into a slight smile as he stared at Mia's beautiful face. He wondered why she was so joyful, and he was so torned up inside because of what happened. He could not let her know about he spirit or else she would be endanger by it.

"Why don't you get some rest? You need it more than I do." Bejei finally found the words to speak. "I see that you've been wounded. I hope you're doing ok after this frightful night."
