"Maybe he'll learn to fly soon. He's a quick learner," Soran predicted. Mizuki smiled at her son and sat up and brought him into her lap.

"Are you going to fly away some day?" she joked smiling and Blade giggled.

Rai was now sitting on the lap of the man across from her new friend. She was looking at his cards and scratching her head, which was a sign to her new friend that this guy had a lot of one card with the funny looking back thing, not the one that looked like puppy toes.

Siren had been spinning about in circles for the last hour or so while the tailor tried to figure out just how to make her clothes again and make sure they were the same as before. Siren was slightly annoyed by this, knowing that the particualrity was not just a respect for the customer's wishes, but a slight unnervedness, which also caused the tailor to jab her with pins a few times.

The pants ahd been finished earlier, since they were the easy part, and the shirt was now being worked on as Siren sat about, adding her personal touches to the pants, including the yin yang emblem, which she had not allowed the tailor to do.

She sighed and wondered what the others were doing. Even though her arm and wings were still damaged, she was actually really eager to leave the town and go to a somewhat less isolated area.

Naoki and the seer were still making the dinner when Naoki asked:

"Where's Rai?"

"Hmm...Siren went to get her clothes tailored...wait.." Gwendolyn closed her eyes to find the child. When she saw where Rai was she sighed. "Could you go get Rai in the tavern?"

"She's in the tavern?!" Naoki asked, slightly appaled. Gwendolyn just waved her off, saying it was almost dinner time anyway. Naoki sighed loudly and walked out of the kitchen to where Mizuki and Soran where without a second thought or noticing that they were awake. She walked out of the house and walked quickly down the road to the tavern. When she got there she entereed the tavern caustiously, looking for Rai.

Rai was laughing as they played cards and finally figured out that she had been trying to give the other guy answers.

"Did you tell him?" They asked with a grin.

Rai giggled and shook her head. "Nope! Never!"

Naoki looked around until she heard Rai's laughter. Smiling, she walked up to the table Rai was at and smiled at them all.

"Rai," she said casually, "Come on, it's almost dinner time. I'm sorry gentlemen but she needs to come home."

"Aww..." Rai said and looked around at the table... She sighed. "I guess I got to go! Thanks for teaching me how to play!!!"

She hopped off the man's lapand curtsied for them. "Bye bye!!" She waved and they laughed, waving back.

"Cute little girl you have there ma'am..." the old grandfather said.

Naoki smiled and blushed, but she didn't correct the man that she wasn't hers. She took Rai's hand in her's and guided her out of the room. Once they were walking in the street towards home Naoki sighed contently.

"Did you have fun?" she asked her.

Rai looked up and grinned. "Oh yes!!" she said and skipped a few times. "I wanted to dance on tables... but they said I'd get hurt. So I wanted some of that drink that makes you walk funny and they said I couldn't have any. So they told me to play a game with that old man! It was fun! We tried tricking his friends..." She giggled

Naoki laughed. "You can't drink until you're older. The drink isn't for little girls or boys." Naoki smiled and they entered the house. Mizuki waved to them both and Naoki jumped. "Oh! I didn't realize you were awake!" Mizuki laughed and Blade squirmed out of her arms and began running around the house.

Rai ran into the house dancing around and humming a funny little tune to herself as she twirled around in her pretty yellow dress.

She was quite bored now that she was back and wanted to go adventuring.

"Toby!!" Rai called and the wolf came running to her, pouncing upward happily when he reached her.

Soran tensed at the sound of Naoki's voice behind his back as he realized they weren't the only ones home. He sat up quickly as Rai bounded inside as well and ran straight for Toby, who wrestled with her gently in the middle of the floor. He glanced down and noticed a sheet of paper sitting on the table next to the couch. He picked it up and looked at it flatly, then twitched imperceptibly. It was sloppy, but embarrassingly accurate. How long had they been sleeping there? He folded the paper briskly, hoping Mizuki wouldn't ask about it, and looked out the window to figure out what time it was. From the hue of the sky, probably nearing dusk.

"

Gwendolyn bobbed into the room merrily, with a happy smile on her face.

"Ah! Dinner is ready everyone!" she said, her voice the like sound of merry bells and Mizuki couldn't figure her mother out... But then again her and Soran were sleeping on this couch and... Mizuki blushed. It just dawned on her that they all might've seen them together...

Mizuki stood up. "I wonder how much heat we'll have at the table?" Mizuki joked to Soran and offered him her hand.

Soran got up and took Mizuki's extended hand calmly, walking with her into the kitchen. He was much more awake now, after napping away the whole afternoon. "You seem energetic," he commented to Rai as Toby bowled her over yet again. "What were you doing all day?"

Rai laughed and pushed Toby off her gently and sat up to look at Soran. "I was playing spades!" she said and stood up, dusting herself off and running from Toby as he tried to knock her down again. She ran into the kitchen.

"I went to dance on tables, but instead I played cards!"
