(LORE) HEALING

The city closest to the border. It is a city filled with traveling people and inns that hold many of the roughest people in Ighten. It's a good place to find weapons and an even better place to find trouble.

OOC: *random song moment* ~She's just a small town girl, living in a lonely world~... (yea... it's 8 am...-_-)

"Alright," she agreed then smiled at the man when he turned back around to them.

"I'll get these fitted for you then." he said plainly, but somewhat elated, then he whisked off to the back to prepared Soran's coat and Mizuki's pants.

Soran walked a slow loop around a rack of clothing that was sitting in the center of the shop, not really taking any notice of it. He was trying to think of something; the insignia that he'd noticed on the ring was something he felt sure he'd seen before. After a minute the tailor ran back out, proudly carrying the two garments. He walked straight past Mizuki and brought Soran his first, holding the heavy black coat up toward him. "Allow me to help you into it," he buttered.

"That won't be necessary," Soran commented flatly as he plucked the coat from the tailor's grip.

The man's lip curled in disappointment. He turned to Mizuki and realized unhappily that he now ought to display identical courtesy toward her in the presence of her escort. "And my lady," he said kindly, unfolding the pants and holding them toward her legs, "May I help you into these?"

Soran raised an eyebrow at him. The tailor grimaced perceptibly as he realized how the offer had come out.

Mizuki's eye twitched at his offer. She carefully took the article of clothing from the tailor. "That...wont be nessassary." she told him with a tone of voice that warned not to push the issue. "I have... confidence that you tailored them perfectly to my fit." she tried to be polite and encouraging to the man's business.

She folded the pants over her arm carefully, showing respect to the man's work and smiled at him.

Soran pulled the coat on over his bare shoulders, hiding the cut the tailor was eyeing critically. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a gold coin and two silver ones, handing them to the tailor. The man looked at the money approvingly and nodded. "Try to keep them in one piece this time," he pleaded, but knew he was going to start making the replacement for the garment he'd just sold as soon as Soran and Mizuki left.

Soran nodded and turned with Mizuki back out into the street. There were a few more people about now that it wasn't the crack of dawn. "It's this way," Soran said, taking her hand without thinking much about it and leading her through the bustle toward the pawn shop. Curious stares followed them both at the unusual extension of physical contact by the rogue as they tried to discern whether it was just a practical gesture or something more.

Mizuki gripped Soran's hand in turn lightly, finsing the strength to ignore all the curious stares as they walked on. She felt encouraged by his warm and gentle pulls as he lead her to the pawn shop.

They entered the little clean shop together, it was full of things that were for sale, all being antiques. They went to the glass counter which displayed various jeweleries raging from their price tags. Mizuki lightly tapped the silver bell on the counter and a little one man with white hair came out, looking at them through ridiculously wide and thick spectacles that made his eyes look huge and bulbous.

"Yes yes, how may I help you?" he asked. Mizuki placed the ring on the table.

"Found it at the bottom of a lake, is it worth anything?" she asked him, genuinly intrigued. The little man took the ring and examined it with his magnified eyes. The ruby shown brightly in the llight of the shop, and the small diamonds and emerald gems glittered. There was a bit a grim and dirt in between the gems and the gold band but otherwise, it looked in perfect condition.

"You found this at the bottom of the lake you say?" he inquiered. Mizuki nodded and the little man frowned at the ring. "Hard to believe anyone would be so careless to lose this in the water. With some cleaning up it would be a ring every woman would kill to get their hands on."

"So, you're saying it's worth a lot?"

"Of course!"

"How much would you buy it for?"

"A ring like this..." the little man paused to calculate it's value in his head. He was an honest dealer, and would give them an honest price. "200 gold."

Soran was in the process of leaning sideways to rest his weight on the corner of the counter. When the man announced his price, the rogue's hand missed the countertop and he stumbled sideways, barely regaining his balance though his even stare never left the dealer.

"It's only a piece of jewelry. What makes it worthy of such a value?" he said suspiciously. If the ring had some rare ability or spectacular history, he wanted to understand it before parting with it.

The little man took his reaction wrong and said, "Okok, 300 gold, but it's as high as I'll go. Any higher and we're just breaking its value."

Mizuki started laughing in both glee and at Soran's reaction. She put her hand up and said, "It's a fine amount." Mizuki grabbed Soran's arm trying to stable him.

Soran couldn't seem to bring his throat to make any sound. He was suspicious of the man's offer, and baffled all the same if it was really true. The dealer, registering Soran's blank stare with some curiosity, turned his attention to Mizuki with a pleased smile. "A deal, then?"

Soran parted his lips to protest, but couldn't make any coherent string of words in his brain that would justify rejecting such an offer, as suspicious as it was. He was still a rogue, after all.

Mizuki nodded and accepted the offer. The man went to his register and counted out the gold. He dumped it in a leather sack and gave it to her. It was rather heavy.

"300 gold." he announced with a smile. "A fine ring it is, a great find. I will bring this back to its perfection, this I promise." he said then scurried back into the room behind the counter. Mizuki took it as a cue to leave and she half supported Soran out the door. They stopped in the middle of the dirt road and Mizuki started giggling in glee. She broke away from Soran to twirl in the road, happy about how much money they had just gotten over one ring.

"It's amazing! So much!" she exclaimed. She tossed the sack to Soran, letting him get a feel of how much money was exactly in there. They could live like royal's if they so pleased.

Soran caught the bag, which knocked him half a step backward. and felt it. He could tell just by the weight that the man was true to his bargain. It was hard to believe. He'd never had much trouble making ends meet thanks to his preference for a frugal lifestyle, but now that he had others he wanted to support, it was a good feeling to know that they were prepared if a need came up. A very good feeling. "I can't believe this," he said as skeptically as he could, but he was looking at her with the same spark in his eyes that was lighting hers at the moment.

Mizuki's face was glowing. "We can buy supplies for the house! Buy thing's for all of us, we can get anything we needed and still have more left over to spare!" she was so excited that she ran up and hugged Soran. 'We can even save up with it!' she thought to herself, finishing her list of the things they could do with this money.

She released Soran from her hug and stepped away, still smiling. "Before we do any of that though, maybe we should head back to Rai. She is alone right now." she stated as a matter-of-factly.

Soran looked at her oddly, the bright smile on her face striking him. "Right, we should get back,"he said, feeling so strongly drawn to her that he almost wanted to kiss her right there. This was a different side of himself; it was like he'd became a whole person, and what was there before suddenly seemed like a hollow shell. It hurt more, but at these moments he felt more whole that he'd ever experienced. In fact, what the heck.

An amazed murmur ran through the onlookers as he suddenly stepped forward and drew her back into his arms tightly, a smile spreading to his lips. He crouched and wrapped his arms securely around the back of her knees, and lifted her up, spinning her in a circle before setting her down. He cast her a satisfied smirk, his dark hair falling into his keen eyes.

OOC: *squeal of fangirl joy*

Mizuki felt a rushed of adrenaline as Soran spun her about in his arms. That was deffinatly new, and by the look on his face he didn't care who saw his joy now. Ignoring the murmurs of the crowd, Mizuki returned his twirling her, by kissing him softly. She squeezed his hands in hers then pulled away and pulled him back toward home. Smiling and her cheeks flush with excitment.

When they were away from the crowd and only 100 yards away from the house, Mizuki stopped and faced Soran again. She touched his face lightly with her hand, while with her other hand she held his fast. She leaned in slowly, watching his eyes carefully incase of any sudden change, but the light was still there and it excited her.

She kissed him fast, but gently, standing close to him and feeling his warmth radiate from his body to hers.

Soran froze, but only for a moment before relaxing in his proximity to her. He cupped her cheek and stroked it lightly with his thumb, giving her a faint grin before turning with her to go to the door. The first thing he noticed as he climbed the steps was that someone else had been there. Muddy prints were smudged on the wood, but he couldn't make out the size. A stern frown cloaked his face as he ascended the steps quickly and opened the door, which was no longer locked. He strode inside and glanced over the room until his distrustful glare fell on the child Rai had allowed into the house. "Don't move," he ordered the boy, his paralyzingly cold voice leaving the kid little choice in the matter as Soran strode toward him.

"Okay since you saved me you have to kiss me! That's what they do in the fairytale thingies!" So right as Soran was opening the door the little boy was moving in to kiss Rai's cheek. "Don't move." The little boy froze with his lips puckered up. Rai tilted her head and looked at Soran.

"Hi!"
