Lore: (mature) Running Out of Time(Just outside of Hepian)

This is the forest that covers most of Ighten in dense and thick trees. It is the oldest forest in Heirot, since most of the Forests in Arken have been destroyed. It is well known as a haunted forest where ghosts and demons reside. In the forest are many villages. The villagers will tell you tales of trees that eat people, gaint spiders, and dragon lairs.

Mia didn't really know what to say about his complament, but it wasn't the compliment that surprised her. It was the fact that he was leaning in to kiss her. But, why?

She distintly remembered him telling her that he didn't care for her. Maybe he felt different now? She couldn't deny that she wasn't attracted to him. But, what if he was just attracted to her body and not her... Mia moved her head away so that she kissed his cheek and missed her lips.

"You seem like a different person," she told him, smirking slightly. "But, I don't think your willing to stay in an enviroment like this just to protect me. Besides, I thought you had business elsewhere?" She asked her face very close to his.

Bejei missed her lips and she kissed him on the cheek. He immediately pulled back, but his face was still close to hers. He wondered if she felt the same way about him as he did about her. He was never good and judging a person, especially a woman like Mia.

He listened attentively to her response to his sudden alteration in personality and behavior. She was right. He was not acting like himself, and he did have places to go and people to kill, but she didn't know that she was the reason he put those things in second place, and her in first.

"You're right. I'm not suited for a place like this, and I do have somewhere to go." He added. "You're saying that I'm a different person... maybe you're right."

Bejei stood up and turned his back towards her. What was he doing? Only if he knew that answer.

"I apologize for acting that way. It won't happen again..." He replied.

Mia looked at him standing with his back to her, her eyes following his form up. Was she attracted to him because he saved her life? More than once... Mia didn't understand, but one thing she did realize was that she wanted him to try to kiss her again.

"I don't mind," she said softly. "If it happens again."

Her pink and blue eyes looked at him as he stood there. What was she doing? She knew better than to get involved with someone that could leave her at any moment.

"Only if you promise that its not what your after..." she told him, her eyes narrowing slightly before going back to there original state.

Bejei's eyes widened when he heard Mia's comment. Did she actually like him? Maybe, if she was willing to kiss him on the cheek. He felt joy and happiness like he once did before his loves ones were taken so early from him. He hoped Mia wouldn't hurt him since his heart was still scarred and fragile, even though it did not seem that way.

He turned around to meet the gaze of Mia. His hazel eyes flickered and revealed a gentleness never before seen on him until now. He grasp Mia's hand while gently pulling her onto her feet.

"I promise..." Was all that escaped his lips while his head motioned forward to try and kiss her for a second time.

"Well, don't change entirely, I rather like the dark rugged side," she said smiling. Mia pushed herself up as he held her hand, her eyes caught by his, much the same way as she was supposed to catch ones eyes in the dance.

"Okay," she murmered softly, closing her eyes as he leaned in to kiss her.

She didn't know what she felt, but she knew her heart was beating incredibly faster than what it should have been beating. Deep inside she felt like a teenager again, which she wasn't far from being a teenager still, but...

Her free hand came up and touched his cheek lightly. Mia had always been known for jumping in to water head first without knowing how deep it was, meaning she did things with out thinking first.

The thought she wasn't thinking about was how Keifer would react if he found them together, or if he found out about how deep there relatioship had turned.

To Mia it seemed to sudden, but the thrill of it sent her over the edge of reason and into something else. She did like being around this man, and she was attracted to him... but still it seemed so sudden.

Bejei's lips touched Mia's, and it was a magical moment. He could taste her sweet lips against his, and it seemed he was a completely different person. The exhilirating sensation continued to rise as his hands curled around Mia's hips.

He embraced her further while he pulled her closer. He had no clue what Mia was feeling inside, but no words could sum up what he felt. The passion was overwhelming, and he did not know how long they kissed, but it felt like eternity.

Bejei eventually broke the kiss as his lips separated from hers. He immediately pulled her close to him while he hugged her tightly in his arms.

"Mia... it's been a long time since I cared for someone." He whispered into her ears. "I want you to know that I'll always be here for you."

Mia looked at him then laughed lightly. "Its hard to take someone serious when they have red lipstick on them," she told him, reaching out for a cloth and wiping his mouth of the ruby lipstick.

"Let me change..." she told him. "By the time I finish the food will be here." She kissed him quickly, though didn't try and stay longer.

It was very strange, she had never had anyone care for her in such a way before. Her father had been the closest person to her, and yet he still didn't show caring towards her. It was more of respect. That was the way of the J'ra she guessed... But, it didn't mean she liked it.

Mia stepped behind that curtain again and slipped out of her clothes, changing into a comfortable silk nightdress with a long silk robe. Yes, dancers were treated like princesses... It was one thing that had taken Mia a long time to get used to.

Bejei wiped his lips even after Mia had wiped the lipstick off with a cloth. It was kind of embarrassing to say the least. He did not want anyone to see him with lipstick on since that would make him look unmanly like, and I thrived on intimidating people with his appearance.

He watched as Mia strolled behind the curtain to change into something more comfortable after she kissed him. He folded his arms across his chest and waited for her to return, and when she did, she was dressed in a silk robe. Maybe, she wanted to get some sleep already.

"So what now?" He asked with bewilderment. "Oh yea, the food is coming."

About the moment he said that a young thin man came in with a tray with two bowls of stew and two classes of tea. He set it on a small table on the other side of the room that had two pillows on either side.

Mia smiled at Bejei and went to the table and took a seat. She motioned him over as the young man left them alone, closing the flap to her tent behind him.

The silk night dress she wore was a soft blue color. Her soft gold skin shimmered in the lantern light. She had taken all her make-up off, yet stilll looked just as pretty as before.

Bejei followed Mia to the table after the man left. He situated himself across from her before shifting his gaze to meet hers.

"We better eat then." He replied before taking a sip of tea.

Bejei began to eat the stew while watching Mia at the corner of his eye. He like how she looked in the robe, and he hope she knew it.

Mia smiled softly at him as she ate the stew quietly. "Are you feeling tired?" she asked him, taking a sip of tea.

She brushed her long white hair from her face and put it behind her ear for a moment. She didn't eat very much, because in truth she had to much on her mind to eat. Bejei was the thing that was on her mind at the moment...

Her eyes kept looking at him. She knew it could be many things that could be making her attracted to him... But, she couldn't find one... She just... was...

Bejei dropped the spoon as he noticed Mia looking at him. He wondered if he had anything stuck in his teeth or something was definitely wrong with his face. He decided to play it cool while he searched for his spoon. Maybe, striking up a conversation with her or answering her earlier quesiton could take her mind off him being a totaly cluts.

"Yes. I'm a little tired from my travels. Last night's sleep was... lets just say... uncomfortable." He flashed her a weak but geniune smile. "I'm kind of full right now as well." He found the spoon and placed it back into the bowl of stew.

"What about you?" He just wanted to hold her close and kiss her like earlier, but he did not want to be forceful. If she wanted to take things nice and slow then he would respect her decision. However, he really like her, and she was constantly on his mind, even at that moment.

Mia smiled at him for a moment as she looked back at the bed of pillows and furs that took up a good deal of the middle of the tent. It was clearly enough room for the both of them to lay on it without having to be all over each other...

She shook away the thought of it, once it entered her mind. She didn't want to make a mistake like that. Though, she didn't feel it was a mistake... Well, she didn't know for sure.

She wasn't really that tired...

"Yes, I guess we could go to sleep, it is getting late..." She stood up and walked to the bed of pillows. "You can take this side... I'll take this side..." she told him, smiling slightly though he couldn't see because her back was to him.

Bejei listened to Mia's response about sharing the bed, but he could not intrude on her. He was a mere guest or pest some might see it. He did not want to disrupt her comfort zone.

He watched as Mia walked over to the bed of pillows and indicated which side he could take. He did not want to upset her so he decided to comply. Afterall, he did want to sleep close to her and cuddle her in his arms to make her feel safe.
"Ok." Was the only word that escape his lips while he stood up and stretched his limbs.

He strolled over to Mia and with one swift motion, he hugged her from behind before planting a kiss to her left cheek. He gradually let go of her before he collapsed tirely on the side she indicated. He placed his hands behind his head and shut his eyes, although, he was not yet asleep.

Mia enjoyed his touch it seemed, because she didn't really want him to pull away. She didn't know what to do. She wasn't used to being intimate or anything of that nature with someone. She had never had a close relationship. All she had ever known was loneliness, Keifer, and Teiron... Now there was Bejei and it was making her all confused on what to do.

She nelt onto the pillows as she grabbed two her blanket, realizing she only had one, but it was big enough for her to drape it over both of them. As she got situated on the bed of pillows and furs she grabbed the blanket and draped it over Bejei and pulled some over herself before lying down. She trusted Bejei enough, though just lying in bed and about to fall a sleep with him next to her made her flush. She didn't entirely know why either...

She turned her head to the side, her mis-matched eyes looking at him.
