Bejei immediately halted his progress as he heard Mia yelp like a wounded animal. He twirled around to face her with those fierce hazel eyes of his, indicating that he didn't approve of her condition. He glared at her while he absorbed in comments. He figured she lived not far from the forest. Anyone else besides him wouldn't be foolish enough to travel on their own through the forest. He believed nature could kill a person in more than a thousand ways, and both of them were treking on dangerous grounds.
He took in a deep breath of disappointment as he strolled over to Mia. Without her consent, he grabbed hold of one of her arm and swung it over his shoulders. In her current condition, he had no alternative than to support her until they made it to her home in Lowight. He wrapped his right arm around her waist to support her better while he forced her to continue forward.
"I'll lend you a hand since you don't seem to be carrying yourself so well." Bejei eyes receded in a cruel manner, though it held some kind of sincerity behind it. "Lets go."

Mia cried out when he put his arm around her waist, bumping her cracked or bruised ribs. She gritted her teeth though and said nothing more, taking strained breaths though and trying to keep from doing something she might regret to the tall stranger.
“Okay,” she said wincing as they moved along.
She wondered if the carnival was still there… Even if it wasn’t she could send word to them and tell them she was in Lowight injured and they would send someone to get her and bring her back to where she belonged. She wondered how long it would be before she could dance again with out strained breaths.

Bejei felt the anxiety in Mia's every movement, and he smiled a little at her misfortune. What he didn't understand is how could someone as fragile looking as her managed to hold her own against a creature like a werewolf? They must know each other, and when he turned into the beast, he still had some sense of who she was which hindered his assault on her. Either that or she was extremely more capable than he gave her credit for.
He tilted his head over to look at Mia. She didn't seem like a fighter to his eyes, but that could be her disguise in order to confuse her enemies. He wondered what she did for a living, but asking that question would mean he had to tell her what he did also. He didn't want to cross that line.
"Are we heading in the right direction?" Bejei stared straight into her eyes for a brief moment before he turned away. "Why don't you lead the way since I don't know where I'm going. Also I have no idea what this carnival is located."

Mia looked back and forth and nodded, not saying a word since her teeth and jaw was clenched. She didn't know for sure, but as soon as the made it to the main road she was sure they would know then.
"It should still be in... Lowight," she said, gasping in the middle of her sentence as her weak legs buckled. She couldn't wait to get back to them. To have one of the healers look her over and to rest in a nice comfy bed.

Bejei tightened his grip on Mia in order to support her better. He felt her body weakening with every step, and it was only a matter of time before she collapse altogether.
"I'm just curious. Why didn't the werewolf kill you?" He stared at her with some confusion. "Did you know him?"

Mia gasped and whimped as his grip around her waist tightened. "Please..." she said as her eyes rolled back in her head. "Stop that..." She almost blacked out, but didn't think it was a good time for it. She shook it off as best she could, her knees buckling. "That hurts...." she breathed shortly.

Bejei just tightened his grip on her arm and waist as she told him not to. He wasn't about to let her fall on the ground. He could, but what point is there to do it? It was better to get her home than leave her out there to rot.
He flashed her another glance since she obviously avoided his question about the werewolf. Maybe, she was protecting him, but it's too late now since the beast is out of commission.
"So... you didn't answer my question? Are you hiding something?" Bejei asked accusingly.

Black dots exploded in Mia's vision when his grip tightened even more. She cried out as she felt something crack and pain shot through her side and chest. Her knees buckled and all of her weight was placed on that side that had just made a crack. She blacked out when the bone broke through the skin sickeningly. All thanks to the stuborn man who refused to loosen his grip even slightly. A bloody stain apppread on her ragged shirt.

Bejei heard the crackling noise and within moments, he felt the heaviness of Mia, dragging him down. He was a strong individual, and she wasn't that heavy, but her weight had completely shifted downward which only meant she was either dead or unconscious.
He stopped his progress and set Mia gently on the ground. He quickly searched her body for any sort of damage he might have caused by gripping her too tightly. It would seem he broke her bone, and it could be seen protruding through her skin. It was a horrific sight, and he grew somewhat alarm by his roughness towards the fragile woman. He even felt a little remorse for pushing her too hard. Killing her might be on his conscience, and he didn't want that lingering feeling eating away at him.
He picked her up by the head and sheltered it with his right hand while he wrapped the left arm around her waist. He was holding her like a fragile baby, and he hoped she didn't die. He never meant to harm her in that way, he was just anxious to get somewhere.
"Damn! Sorry, I was kind of rough on you." Bejei whispered into her ear. He could clearly see the blood soaking through her raggedy shirt. "Mia, if you wake up then I promise to do anything you want."

Mia's breathing was in strained breaths, her chest jerked with every try.
Lowight, the grand capital of Ighten was just a head, not far at all. The large walls could be seen just head. The main path to it was in front of them, and people, though they were to indulged in themselves to realize that there were injured people, walked the main road either towards Hepian or towards Lowight.

Bejei placed his hand on her chest and felt her heart beat. He didn't think his pressure on her waist and arm would cause her to lose conscious. He didn't know his own strength, and if she died then it wouldn't hurt him much, but he didn't like the fact that he might feel guilty. Something he didn't do so often.
He glanced around as he sensed many spirits not far from where they were. He decided it was useless to stay there while Mia needed immediate medical attention. He would have no choice but to carry her the rest of the way. She was light afterall so their trip wouldn't take long.
He carried her up and made his way to the main road where he sensed the spirits. There were many people walking about, but they didn't notice his arrival. It annoyed him so he decided to shout at them to gain their attention.
"Hey! This woman is injured and bleed; she needs some assistance now!" Bejei held Mia in his arms as he shifted his gaze from person to person, hoping they would help him. "Can you hear me?! She needs medical attention!"

The travelers stopped and stared at him blankly, then looked to the unconcious woman in his arms, her blood spilling over onto his shirt.
One old man looks up. "There is a doctor just as you reach Lowight... I will show you the way." He turned quickly, though for a feeble old man he could only move so fast.
Mia's breathing was become short, and some times she would make sounds as if nothing was going in.

Bejei was glad those people finally took notice of him. He was beginning to get irritated by the whole situation, but it seemed most of the blame on her condition fell on his shoulders. If he wasn't so rough on her then everything would've been ok.
He followed the old man, but he wanted to kick the old man in the arse to speed things up. Apparently, he forgot old people are slow so he decided to travel at the same speed as the man.
He felt her breathing gradually slowing down, and she would kick the bucket soon if he didn't get her to a doctor soon. He hated feeling guilty for someone's death, but Mia was an exception.
"Hurry up old man! We don't have all day." Bejei shouted after the decrepit man.

The old man turned and looked at him. "I'm going as fast as my legs will carry me." He said and turned, walking through the gate. People began to stop and stare at them, seeing the pale and bleeding woman in the man's arms and an old man leading the way. It didn't look like a safe group... at least for the woman.
The old man stopped when he came to the a nicely built brick house with flowers outside of it. A sign hung over the door and it said, "Doctor Lainginfut"

Bejei merely shooked his head lightly, and cursed internally. Of all the people that could aid them, it had to be an old man. What was the world coming to.
He didn't care for the sudden glares and stares by the people. They meant nothing to Mia's existence, and nothing to him. He followed the old man through the crowd until they came upon a door that read, "Doctor Lainginfut". Whoever this person was, he might be able to help.
"Alright old man, you be on your way." Bejei stated immediately before pushed open the door and stepped in.
