This thread was started by Gwyndolynne…
Gwyndolynne:
It had seemed that her journey had taken forever. All Gwyn wanted right now was a warm bath and some hot food in her stomach. But she knew she couldn't rest until she made it to the palace and swore her allegiance to the queen.
Walking through the streets, her thoughts turned to her foster brother, Ewyn and how it broke his heart when she had decided to leave. It had been a very emotional day and Gwyndolynne was still suffering some lingering emotion from him. With people swarming around her, she closed her mind to their voices and emotions so it wouldn't overwhelm her. TEXTAll that I want now is find Tenele Raider, she'll direct me to the queen.
Gywn was thankful to the old mage who had taught her and given her this start. He had never told her his name but only insisted that she call him father. She continued to trudge along, hoping for some clue as to what she should do next.
Emora Deen:
Tenele walked to the Palace in Lowight, capital of Ighten that morning with a thought in her head. It had come to her while she lay in bed thinking. She loved protecting her queen she really did, but it was getting her nowhere. She hardly left Lowight and only once had she ever left to go on a diplomatic mission to Ongoreth. There were other neighboring kingdoms and she longed to see Ongoreth again one day, but she had yet to visit much of the land in Ighten and wanted to see the J’ra village and the people that existed in the towns out side Lowight.
She had done little traveling as becoming a Queen’s Maiden called for you to stay in or close to the palace to learn the rituals and ways of a Maiden in service of a queen to Ighten. She had served her queen now for many years, twenty-five the last she counted. She was fifty years old, and though young still, she knew war was coming and she might not see the world in somewhat of peace before the war destroys everything that still holds beauty.
Tenele tried to think of the things she would miss in Lowight if she went away for a while. The only real thing she could think of was Vladimir, even if he was annoying it was starting to grow on her. That and her nice cozy bed and bath room... But, she could deal with it, after all it wasn't like she was never coming back.
So she traveled, well, basically walked out from her home, which she loved dearly, but held very little for her and she was thinking of giving it up to move into the palace, it was where most of the Maidens who had not chosen to take they house close the palace. The house just seemed to big for her if she was going to be the only one living there at the moment. Not to mention any time that some one who thought he could slip into her bed at night woke her up, she could order guards to take him away. But, she didn’t plan on staying long enough to arrange this, maybe when she returned, yes when she returned…
Gwyndolynne:
Gwyndolynne walked along and had just spotted the palace. Finally, she thought, I can do what I set out to do. Still walking along, the thought entered her head as to how she was to get into the palace to see the Queen. I must find Tenele Raider, she thought. Walking along she reached out with her powers to try and see if anyone knew where Tenele lived when she spotted a woman walking to the palace. Gwyndolynne seemed drawn to her, as if this mysterious woman would know where Tenele Raider lived.
The woman was quite beautiful; her silver hair seemed to light up the already bright day. Gwyn seemed kind of hesitant to ask her though.
Emora Deen:
Tenele felt eyes on her, it took her a while to realize it, but she did. She stopped for a moment and looked around, her green eyes darting around. She couldn't figure out who it was through the crowed so she continued on.
She walked through the palace gates, which led to the main courtyard and the staircase that led to the double doors with the gold symbol of the sun on it.
She couldn't get the feeling out of her mind that some one was looking at her. So yet again she stopped, turning and her green eyes met another pair, these belonging to a woman
Gwyndolynne:
Gwyndolynne hadn't meant to follow her, but there was just something that she knew that the woman could tell her about the whereabouts of Tenele Raider.
"I'm sorry," she said, "But I have feel something about you. Can you tell me where I can find Tenele Raider? It is of great importance that I find her."
Emora Deen:
Tenele smiled for a moment and then replied, "Well, I should know where to find her, I am her for one." Tenele looked the woman over, take note of things and such. "What is it that is so important, that you need to speak to me."
Tenele didn't know if anything was important for her to comment on. She was just a Queen's Maiden and nothing more. She had no influence on the Council or anything. A soft breeze began to blow.
Gwyndolynne:
A smile broke Gwyn's face and the silver in her eyes lit up. A small happy breeeze started matching her mood.
"I was told my teacher that you could help me to see the Queen. I wish to swear my allegiance to her and offer my powers and service. I can feel that it may be needed in the future times to come."
She got a closer look at the woman and realized that she was a Queen's Maiden. Surely this woman can help me, she thought.
Emora Deen:
Tenele's smile faded for a moment. Not at the fact that the woman wanted to join her Queen Sinead, that was wonderful news! It was the fact that some one had told this woman about her... and she didn't think she knew this person.
"Well," she said and her smile came back, rather soft though. "I can help you with that, besides I was just on my way to see the Queen. But, I warn you..." She said this next part to warn her if she were a spy. "If you try anything, before you can raise you hand or use your magic to strike a blow on my queen either I or she will kill you."
She said the last part to tell the woman she meant business. She had just met this woman and for all she knew Adrian could have told her the name and what to say and how to say it... It was that thought that made Tenele suspicious...
Gwyndolynne:
Gwyn could feel Tenele's hesitance and read the suspicion in her mind. It was all she could to stop herself from screaming that she was not a spy for the Witch Queen and could never bring herself to use her powers like that.
All she said in a low even voice was, "You never knew my teacher but he knew of you. Yours was the only name he could think of to help me on my journey. All is wish is to see Queen Sinead and speak with her. I know full well what you can do with you fighting abilities, have no fear."
Emora Deen:
Tenele nodded in acknowledgement and motioned for the woman to walk beside her. They walked through the courtyard and up the stone steps to the grand double doors that were always open. She nodded to the guards at their show of respect, a tilt of there helmet covered heads. The main hall was the largest hall in the palace. It was used for many things, a wedding ceremony or such. Straight a head it led to a stare case that separated at the top.
"I am sorry if I came off rude," Tenele said and looked to her side to the woman. "But, it's been a rather odd couple of days." Odd was not really the word she could have said, but it was the one she chose.
Gwyndolynne:
Images floodes Gwyn's mind of the excitement that had happened to Tenele. Empathy took over and Gwyn had to close her eyes for a moment to stop herself and regain control. Taking deep breaths, she let the energy ride its way through her and into the earth.
She opened her eyes and looked into the deep green pair of Tenele's, "Odd hardly begans to describe what I have seen Tenele Raider." Gwyn slapped her hands over her mouth and bowed her head. "Forgive me. I did not mean to go poking about in you mind. I'm still young and trying to reign control over my powers." She looked up at Tenele. "I may be twenty but I am still human and a baby compared to you."
Emora Deen:
Tenele looked at Gwyndolynne for a moment and nodded. She was right; it was hard for young people to handle things until they had better practice, which usually meant more time.
"Well, come this way," she said and led her a ways until they came to a closed set of double doors. She knocked three times and the door was opened by two guards. She walked in her dress billowing slightly as she walked swiftly.
"Wait here a moment," she said and walked up a flight of stares. She walked to a door and knocked quietly. "My lady Queen?" she asked and when she was aloud to walk in she did so.
"My Queen," she said and bowed her head as she did a curtsy. "There is a woman here to see you. She is a Witch Mage and wishes to swear allegiance to you."
She paused for a moment and then continued with something else of a totally different matter. "You majesty, I am requesting that you send me on a diplomatic mission of some sort or allow me a leave of duty so that I may do some traveling. I've never really left Lowight except to go to Ongoreth to deliver a message to the Shogun." She paused for a moment and then looked at her queen. "I don't really care where you send me as long as I am aloud to leave for a short period of time milady."
Then she looked back down for a moment thinking of something else to say. She couldn't at the moment and then she spoke again. "So will you come to meet with the Witch Mage, milady, though I am the only Queen's Maiden with you at the moment, I will die protecting you." It was well known that any Queen's Maiden would.
Then a thought hit her. Maybe her Queen would send her to the boarder to see how things were going. She could pass through many places to get there.
Gwyndolynne:
Sinead hated to see her favorite Maiden go through the things that she had been through in the last few days. She would do anything to make her happy. But it was hard to find Maidens like Tenele.
She smiled a warm simile. This would make Tenele happy. Tenele I grant you permission to go wherever you’re heart desires. As you know war is coming. I would hope that you could stand by my side during that. But please feel free to do whatever until then.”
She though about how ironic that both a vampire and a Witch mage wanted to swear allegiance to her. She was ok with it as long as they served the light.
“Yes I will go with you to meet her, and to here what she has to say.” She wasn’t worried about anything the Witch Mage could do. She cleared her mind and readied her magic. She didn’t think the Witch Mage would do anything. But just incase.
Emora Deen:
Tenele bowed and walked with her queen to the woman who waited for them. "My Queen," she said and looked at the two for a moment. "You may state your allegiance..." She bowed her head and stepped to the side, but not to far away, she would stop any attack, but had a feeling none would happen… it was out of habit really.
Gwyndolynne:
Gwyn bowed her head in a gesture of respect when Queen Sinead entered. She was indeed a beautiful woman and Gwyn tried to reach out with her power to the woman but all she found was a great energy wall she could not scale. Even if I did scale them, she thought to herself, what would await me on the other side.
Queen Sinead said to her, "You may state your allegiance."
Gwyn lifted her head and looked into the eyes of Queen Sinead and said the words she had been longing to say since she had been told of this marvolous queen by her master years ago, "Your Highness, my name is Gwyndolynne nic Arden and I have traveled many miles to be in the service of a great Queen such as yourself. I have seen things of the future that trouble and have seen that you will need all the help you can get." A wind began to whip around Gwyn, raising her hair. The silver in her eyes began to glow. It seemed as if her body was growing, as if she was becoming a larger entity. "I swear that I shall serve the light and its ruler until my death. I swear that my powers will only be used for my duties in upholding my duty."
The wind began to stop and Gwyn began to shrink back into her original form. She once again bowed her head and waited for Queen Sinead to say something.
Eslin:
Sinead smiled at Gwyndolynne. She was touched that someone would travel so far to do such a thing. She felt the outreach of the Witch Mage’s power, but she didn’t say anything. She could understand curiosity.
She let her guard slip to where it normally was. “Gwyndolynne nic Arden, I Queen Sinead of the Kingdome of Ighten accept your allegiance. And I thank you for it. It means a lot."
" As you may already know, war is coming. I need all the help that I can get,” she said it smoothly. Although she didn’t like admitting the last part. “I’d like you tell me what position you can best serve me in? As you’ve demonstrated, you have power. How would you like it to be put to use?”
She looked expectantly. It wasn’t every day she found someone like this. Then she turned to Tenele. "When you decied on where you want to go, please come see me. I'd like to say goodbye." She winked at her when she said that.
Gwyndolynne:
Gwyndolynne was stunned for a moment. She couldn't believe that her dream was coming true.
She bowed her head once more and replied to the Queen, "I would like to be close to you, your majesty. I feel I can best serve you there. I would like to be a Queen's Maiden but my fighting skills leave something to be desired. If I could be trained properly, I feel that this would be the best course of action for me."
Gwyn knew Tenele was still in the room but hadn't the Queen said something of her going on a trip? That would mean that Queen Sinead would need another Queen's Maiden. Gwyn didn't know how many Sinead had in her service, but she just knew this is where she belonged. She waited.
Eslin:
Sinead was thrilled. “Since you’d like to be a Maiden, you may start training as one. I have a Maiden in my service that is dedicated to teaching the younger ones how to serve. I would like you to learn from her until she see that you are ready to become a Maiden, and you are ready to talk on the responsibility. Until then you may use your powers in any way helpful to the good of the kingdom.”
She smiled a welcoming smile. “ The name of the Maiden is Allana Doray. If you need a place to stay; you may stay here at the palace. If you’d like and can afford it you may stay out in the city. I hope to heard good things about you.”
Sinead turned to Tenele, “Remember Tenele, when you have decided where you want to go, come and see me.” She turned and strode back into the palace.
Emora Deen:
Tenele smiled at Gwyndolynne and held up a finger for a moment. "I'll be right back and I'll personally show you where Allana stays..." She walked away and went to the place she had retrieved her queen from. She knocked on the door once more, then walked in. "My Queen, I know where it is I want to go. Though, I need a vacation I would like to travel to the border to see if war is truly brewing... I fear it is my Queen and I want to make sure the information you receive is from some one you can trust and you can trust me. Plus..." She smiled. "It gives me a chance to travel before a battle I could possibly die in."
She took several steps forward. "I believe there was something else you wanted to see me about?"
Eslin:
Sinead smiled at Tenele. She would hate to see her go. It would mean losing one of her best Maidens. But she knew that Tenele needed this.
“Yes there was something else I wanted to see you about.” She held out the katana. It sparkled softly in the light. “Take this, I believe that it was meant to go to you. I hope it protects you on your journey. I hope it’ll see you through safely."
" This katana is a symbol of friendship between Ighten and Ongoreth. It’ name is Tenchuu, The Wrath of Heavens. Remember it’s extremely sharp second only to the Shogun’s."
" I think it is fitting that it should go to the boarder with you. Please keep it safe. I will miss you Tenele I hope you come back soon."
"May you farewell on your journey. You’ll always be in my thoughts.” She winked at her, and then she turned and walked further into the palace.
Emora Deen:
Tenele came back with the Katana in its sheath and she held it with both her hands looking at it in awe. She felt deeply honored that her Queen would give her such a gift. She met Gwyndolynne's eyes and smiled softly. "I'll show you where Allana usually is..."
She led the woman down corridors and flights of stairs. Then they came to a room at the very back of the palace close to the garden gates. It was a training room with wood and glass doors.
Allana could be seen in the far of the room with a sword in her hands. She was practicing the positions and moves with thin air.
Tenele opened and door and aloud the future maiden to enter into the room first. Then, she followed up. "Allana," Tenele said and the woman stopped her practicing and looked up. "This woman has sworn her allegiance to the Queen and offers her powers in any way they will be needed. But, she thinks that she could serve the Queen as a Queen's Maiden... Queen Sinead would like you to teach her."
Allana looked at the Witch Mage for a moment and then a smile came to her face as she held out her hand. "Welcome to Ighten... Miss...?"
Gwyndolynne:
"Gwyndolynne nic Arden. I'm here to learn everything you can teach me about fighting. I wish to become a Queen's Maiden." She bowed her head slightly and reached out with her empathy to try and feel the woman out. While she did this, she looked out of the corner of her eyes at her surroundings. She could see the glass doors and the outside world.
She still kept her head bowed and waited for something to happen.
Emora Deen:
Allana smiled and nodded as the woman spoke. "Well, I hate starting training in the middle of the day... so I'm sure Tenele will love to show you to the rooms of the castle where you will be staying if you so choose to stay here. But, for the moment, I must begin my own training. If you will excuse me..." She turned away from them and began to do some stretches.
"Come," Tenele said and smiled. "I will show you around the castle..."
Tenele left the room with Gwyndolynne and began walking down one of the main halls. When they turned a corner all hell seemed to break out. She saw Gwyndolynne hit the floor and then Tenele was grabbed up. She pulled a dagger just as quick and put it to the person’s throat. She didn't know what was happening, she couldn't tell in the short time everything had happened, all she knew was if they were going to kill some one, she would get one of them first. She was still shocked by what was happening... but nothing registered the fact she was shocked on her face. Then....
"HOLD"
Zenmusha:
The Nibu Wolves only stopped their imminent strike. But still kept their swords very close to Tenele's neck, ready to thrust the sharp edges at the slightest provocation. Kitanai walked to the girl lying down with a scared expression. He smiled. Yes, for someone as green, and so soon after that shock, he couldn't expect her to be cool. Specially face to face with what seemed to be an exotic iron demon.
Crouching to face her, he offered her his hand. "Take it." He said bluntly, his voice coming mettalic and distorted by his steel mask. In the meanwhile, the other Wolves looked confused. "Master, we don't know these women's intentions! You shouldn't expose yourself so much!" Kitanai ignored him. He was safe. Years of experience made him knew when someone was planning to sneak attack him.
Gwyndolynne:
All Gwyn could see above her was the iron face of some demonic creature. I know that it has to be human though, she thought to herself. She reached out with her mind and confirmed it. She could sense that this was a man of great power and by the way he stood above her and his thoughts, he knew it. He could have anything he wanted. What he wanted right now was for Gwyndolynne to take the hand he offered.
Not knowing what she was doing and utterly scared, she placed her hand in his. Waves of emotion swept over her and she threw up all the shields and barriers she could to stop it. She could hear the voices of the men around her. Her and Tenele didn't pose a threat to this man and even if they did, he could easily defeat her and maybe Tenele.
As soon as she was standing, she looked into the cold eyes of the mask he was wearing and wished that he would take it off so she could see his face. It startled her that this thought popped into her head. What am I thinking?, she questioned herself.
Zenmusha:
Kitanai helped the girl up. Strange, her eyebrows shifted in relief just before she grabbed his hand... And when she did, her face twisted slightly from some kind of strain... He looked at her analitically. He'd heard of men and women that could read thoughts and emotions... And the girl before him could be one of that kind.
"Are you one that reads minds?" He thought clearly enough to make her listen. "I am Shogun Kitanai, Lord of Ongoreth. YOu have threatened your own life and that of your friend slamming against my men. Be more careful next time." He didn't say it out loud , because she was the recruit. The woman seemed a veteran.
He looked at her... and found a familiar looking Katana handle at her waist. Tenchuu. Nodding to the girl, he faced Tenele. "Sinead deemed you fit of carrying it?" He jerked his head in the Katana's direction. This time, his voice came even more gutural. He wasn't quite sure if Sinead had made the best choice... And so he put the woman on provation.
Emora Deen:
Tenele looked at the masked man for a moment, he was the leader, any one could plainly tell, even if they were deaf and blind. "It is with me, so I guess she did..." She pulled away from his bodyguard’s grip.
She made a curtsy and a bow of her head. "Forgive me for my rudeness, but it is not every day I almost get sliced in half in the castle. My Lady Queen Sinead did give this and I trust her judgment. If she sees me fit to carry such a wonderful object, then I believe I am right when I say I am fit. Do you object sir? For if you do I believe you may take it up with my Queen and if you change her judgment, then I shall gladly pass it on to the rightful person it should be with. Again forgive my rudeness, but it felt as if you question the judgment of my Queen." She bowed her head in respect and stood straight.
Tenele glanced at Gwyndolynne for a moment to see if she was all right. The woman to her was and her concentrated glare turned to the masked leader. Her eyes had always held a certain something that could tell some one was strong, but more so was the way she stood and spoke and acted.
Gwyndolynne:
Gwyn knew it was stupid to want to see his face and she immediatly withdrew her hand and her probing senses when he had talked directly into her mind. She slightly bowed her head to the powerful leader and heard him talking to Tenele but just let the convesation wash over her. Great, she thought to herself, I'm barely here for a day and I almost cause an international disaster.
She was alright, the fall hadn't hurt. But what had hurt was the tone of the voice in her head. It had been as cold and metallic as the voice that came out of the mask. Is this man truly that cold?, she thought.
Zenmusha:
Kitanai grinned under his mask. So soon? He always wanted to know just how strong these Queen Maidens were... "I see you carry yourself with the pride of a warrior. But that alone's not enough to make one." He walked a few steps back, crouching his legs only slightly. "Many proud men have been struck down by humble foes that proved to be more valiant than them. But... I guess we're both arrogant." His left hand grabbed his Katana's sheathe, and his right the handle, touching the handguard.
"I will be the judge of whether or not you are worthy of Tenchuu. And if not... You and I will take the best path to follow." The Wolves seemed eager. They wanted to see their Shogun fighting. "This is between the both of us. Neither my men or your friends will interfere. If they do, the one they attack shall be declared the victor." With that said, he ran to Tenele... And came near her in the blink of an eye, unsheathing his Katana in a strike.
Emora Deen:
Tenele's eyes widened for a moment and as he was about to reach her she spun to the side, pulling the Katana at the same time, a weapon she did not know how to use. She held it up with both her hands, and looked at the leader for a moment. The Queen is just going to love this...
She tilted her head and smiled for a moment. "Well, come and judge me."
Zenmusha:
Kitanai sighed.... "You're holding it all wrong!" His authoritary tone became more fatherly, but still slightly gruff. He held his sword with both hands... And raised the sword vertically, so she could see how he was grabbing the handle. "You leave the space of one hand between the two. Right hand near touching the handguard, left hand with the pinky grabbing the handle's edge. And keep your pulses as straight as possible!"
Done with the tutoring, he charged back, even faster than before, with a simple vertical slash. He stopped his charge just the short enough distance for the blade's edge to cut through her forehead.
Emora Deen:
Tenele felt like a little girl back in Maiden training. For one, she had never in her life fought with a Katana, so sew her, geese... Just as she saw the blade come towards her forehead she brought her own up to try and block it. She had adjusted her hands in mid move. "Happy?" she asked and used her strength to push him back. She didn't know if that was a right move with a Katana, but she was used to a long sword. She faked a lung rather well and came out of it in a swing towards his legs. She didn't stop it like he had, if he was so good then he could block her attack.
Zenmusha:
He sighed again... Right after parrying her swing. "Wrong again!! Twice this time!!!" He brought both their swords up, facing her. "You use your left hand to give the blade impulse... And don't go into games of strength with a Katana... because this might happen." He drove both their blades down, while sidestepping. Tenele was left unnbalanced forward, and Kitanai shoved her knee with his foot... and so she fell. Kitanai, that had been keeping his pose while knocking down Tenele, swung it properly at her... stopping an inch before cutting her. "If I did it your way, you'd be dead."
Emora Deen:
Tenele looked up with her green eyes into the mask, but there was darkness now and she couldn't see his eyes, but she could guess where they were. Her eyes revealed too much for a moment... aggravation and a ting of embarrassment. He's just a boy trying to look good in front of his men...Of course that's just me trying to make myself feel better... He's teaching me a lesson on arrogance... one day he will learn his on... She didn't give any hint with her eyes or body movement until it was to late. Judging from the distance of the blade to her she could probably pull it off. She swung her legs around quickly, knocking his own out from under him. She flipped herself over backwards, like a strange cartwheel and landed a distance away, quickly grabbing the Katana and standing. She bowed her head in respect.
"I see that I am not worthy of this weapon, your Majesty... I do not know how to wield it, there for..." She put it back into its sheath and held it out for him with two hands. "Take it and find some one more worthy than I." Again she bowed her head in respect and kept it there, waiting for him to take his weapon back.
Zenmusha:
Kitanai smiled once he hit the ground... Interesting... Perhaps there was more to her than what it seemed. With the proper training, she might become a shining jewel. He rose back to his feet, ignoring the gossiping Wolves. "It's rude and foolish to knock down your teacher during a lesson, my lady. In a true combat situation, you'd be killed."
He took the sword from her... And placed it at her waist. "I find you almost worthy of wielding Tenchuu. However, to gain this honour you must learn to use it. And, since I'm the only free instructor in this land, and war is brewing, I'll be the one to instruct you." The Wolves started having less than chaste conversations with each other. "Any of you want to say something?" They shut up.
Emora Deen:
"That would be wonderful... but I'm afraid I am leaving as soon as the feast is over or rather the next day..." Tenele said and raised her head. "So, if you need to you may take the weapon back and teach some one else." Her green eyes looked him directly into his own, searching for something. "I am glad to have proven myself almost worthy... better than not worthy at all and I would gladly except your offer of instruction if it were not for me leaving for the boarder."
She looked to Gwyndolynne and nodded. "Are you ready for me to show you to your room?"
Zenmusha:
"I'm heading for the borderlands as well." Kitanai had it planned... He was a fine rider, he'd personally scout the area... And in the meantime, learn about the barbarian cultures of Heirot. "The only thing that keeps you from being worthy is that you were never taught how to handle the finest type of swords, the Katana." With that said, he walked away, wondering what she meant by... feast.
"Kenta!" He called, stopping abruptely. "Yessir!" The young boy bowed. "Most of us have been in Lowight at least once. You're seeing it for the first time. I want you to go with them and learn what you want to know about Ighten... And help them in their training." The boy nodded. "Thank you, sir!"
Kenta ran back to them, with the energy of the 15 year old he was. "Ladies, the Shogun..." When they looked at him, he blushed... He just realized they were the opposite sex... "Uh, I mean... well..." Shaking his head litterally, he faced them again, not caring if he was red or no. "I'm Hidemitsu Kenta of the Nibu Wolves, trained by the Shogun himself. He has commanded me to assist you in your training, and in exchange you are to answer me whatever doubts I might have about the barbarian lands... I mean.. uhhhh..."
Emora Deen:
"Well, Kenta," Tenele said with a smile and held out her hand for him to shake. "The Queen holds a feast every time some one important comes to Lowight. You should receive a note for it either by the end of the day or tomorrow morning. If you want to tag along with a couple of girls, then your going to be rather bored, unless you like hearing about dresses?" Her smile grew into a grin. "Every one is invited by the Queen herself."
"Thank you, your Majesty for teaching me a few lessons," she bowed her head and turned to walk with Gwyndolynne towards a set of stairs that led to the main living quarters for maidens and other high ranked officials. She turned her head once to see if Kenta was tagging along.
Gwyndolynne:
Gwyndolynne turned to follow Tenele and reached out behind her to find the boy with her senses. Already she liked Kenta. He was young, most definietly, but then again, so was she. She could sense the boy racing behind them, still slightly red and embarrassed to be the two women. She thought to herself, I will most definietly have to get to know this boy better.
Zenmusha:
Kenta couldn't quite talk back to Tenele, or engage in conversation with Gwyn for that matter. He kept trailing behind them, looking at the curious buildings... "Darn... The Shogun gives me a chance to learn, and I... SPOIL IT!!!" Ticked off at himself, he tried to engage in a conversation with Gwyn...
"Uh... so... you're a recruit, eh? Well... Haha, I remeber when I was seven I could barely hold a sword! Even if it was a wooden sword! They don't let us use REAL swords until after we're eleven... A pity, 'cause, and I'm not bragging, it's the truth, I was good enough for real swords at the age of nine! Ya see, I'm the Shogun's fan... " And he kept talking on and on...
Gwyndolynne:
Gwyndolynne giggled slightly and smiled at the babbling Kenta. He was adorable all the way around. I knew I would like him, she thought. They still continued walking towards Gwyn's new quarters and tried to answer as many questions as she could. She could read in his head that he was still ticked off at himself for making such a poor first impression, but he seemed to be warming up to her nonetheless.
Zenmusha:
"... And then there was the time I accidentally stepped on a geisha's foot! Believe me, I never thought her brother would be so upset at me! But no prob, the great Kenta showed him what a man's made of!" And he started mimiking the event, passing from himself to the other guy when needed be, attracting odd looks from the passers by...
"Uh, what's that?" He pointed to a fountain. It was tall enough for a man to bathe on... "It must be... A PUBLIC BATHS!! Good, I was starting to get sweaty under this armour!"
Gwyndolynne:
As he was telling his story, Gwyn laughed at his antics and had turned her back for a moment to ask Tenele something when she heard what Kenta said. Quickly turning back she saw him already disrobing and getting ready to jump into the fountain.
"Kenta NO!" Gwyn yelled. She made a dash for him.
Zenmusha:
Kenta, who had only removed his armour, keeping his clothes for the bath (to spare water...), halted his dive when he heard Gwyn. "What is it, miss? In Ongoreth, we bathe in waterfalls and warm lakes..." His belt's knot gave up, and felt on the ground, leaving his kimono's jacket open. Fortunately, his trousers had their own system to remain on, but it was still a bit embarrassing to be seen "unjacketed" in the streets...
"Uh, say miss, I realized something..." He blushed. Of all the times to aks her that... "I don't know your name yet... And it's considered very rude not to tell your name..."
Gwyndolynne:
"I'm sorry Kenta," Gwyn replied, slightly bowing her head, "My name is Gwyndolynne nic Arden and I am studying to become a Queen's Maiden. As for the fountain, I can see how you would be confused by it. As soon as we reach the living quarters we shall find a place for you to bathe."
