LORE: A Barmaid's Grief

"Morning," Aidan replied kindly as he nodded at the young man.

He walked on and checked out all of the horses in the stable. They had some beautiful horses.

'I wonder who she is?' he thought. Talking about the girl who had walked in the office behind him.

After walking around the stables for a few minutes, he decided he would take a break. He sat himself down beside one of the stalls with a horse in it.

" Do you know her?" he asked the horse. "She's beautiful isn't she?" He shook his head and laughed at himself. He stood up and rubbed the horses nose. "You don't know what I'm saying do you?"

The horse grumbled a little and shook his head.

Avera finished gathering up the brush, pick, and other stuff for Kimya. Dropping them in a leather bag, she cinched it up tight and headed for his stall to get her a saddle.

Walking out the door, she spotted HIM again. Averting her eyes, she walked on. He unnerved her.

Aidan heard someone coming and turned to look. It was her. He quickly turned back to the horse. His heart began beating rapidly.

All kinds of things began running through his mind. The two that kept repeaing a lot though were, ' Should I talk to her?' and ' What should I say?'

He looked back in her direction and seen that she was getting closer. The first thing he did was try and act calm and put a smile on his face. He watched her as she gracefully made her way closer to him.

Walking behind Avera, Kaiteki noticed that the stranger was staring at her. What his problem? he thought, feeling a bit uncomfortable. He felt like one of Avera's brothers, as he was practically raised with the family, so he was protective of her. He eyed the stranger suspiciously and stayed close to Avera.

Aidan noticed the young man walking beside the girl and wondered how they were acquainted. It really wasn't any of his business but he was curious.

He stopped watching them and turned his attention back to the horse and began stroking its neck.

Kymia took Zach's arm and suggested they wait for Avera to finish the paperwork (it might take a while and she might need Kymia for some other information). She leaned on Zach, trying not to put all of her weight on him. She was a strong woman. She's been a healer for quite a while and she could handle herself. However, the help of a strong, not to mention handsome guy, would not be turned down. They sat on the nearest bench to the office. "So, Mr. Zachary, where are you staying?" she asked politely with a curious grin.

OOC: Zach carries you wherever you ask to go. I'd say find a bench or hitching post near the stables.

IC:Avera noticed Kaiteki walking near her. Turning around with a smile, she asked for his help. "Hey, Kaiteki, would you help me carry a saddle outside? Actually, I need you to carry it for me. I'm running out of arms," she winked.

Proceeding to the stable where Majestic was, she threw his blanket over her shoulder and looped Majestic's rein around her dark wrist. Walking towards the door, she glanced behind her to make sure that Kaiteki was following.

Kaiteki nodded and followed Avera, still keeping an eye on the stranger from before. His eyes trailed over the beautiful horse, and he reached a hand out to stroke its neck. "Alright, Avera. Just tell me where you want it," he said.

Aidan turned back around followed them outside. He wasn't sure what he would say to them but he had to meet new people.

He saw them saddling up the horse and walked up to the boy," I'm Aidan," he said, sticking out his hand.

Avera glanced at Aidan, but answered Kaiteki. "Throw it over the hitching post, Kaiteki. I'll put it on him once I get the blanket situated and stuff," she explained.

Proceeding to tie Majestic to the post and throw his blanket over him, Avera responded to Aidan. "Hello," she siad, " I'm Avera... Avera Bortain." She extended her hand from over Majestic's back. "How can we help you?"

Before moving the saddle to where Avera had directed, Kaiteki introduced himself to the guy from before. "I'm Kaiteki," he said shaking his hand. He picked up the saddle then and threw it over the hitching post as Avera has asked him to.

Aidan shook thier hands. " Nice to meet y'all." he said with a deep warm voice.

" I was just looking around," he replied to Avera's question. He glanced around the area. " I was kinda looking for a job too. Do ya'll work here?"

Zach smiled and turned his head in her direction, glancing over her features for a moment. He looked back straight. "I just bought a house actually. About a block away from yours I believe."

"You're speaking to the head slave," she jested with a little head-tilted smile. "Give me a sec, and I'll help you out with that job oppurtunity. Do you like to work?" she asked as she saddled up Kimya's horse. In a few moments, he'd be ready to go.
