LORE: A Barmaid's Grief
Avera hated idleness. She didn't mind the boys taking breaks or visiting with friends that had dropped by -- as long as there was no pressing work to be done, of course, -- but to just stand in one spot... well, you should have a good excuse once Avera caught up with you.
These things crossed her mind as she looked toward the other end of the J'ra Stable's great hall. There, in the broad daylight, stood three of the guys that should have been feeding horses. Avera's matronly instinct set in, and she walked quickly to the end of the stable where the guys where standing. The closer she got, more guys joined the group and some left, yet it became more obvious what they were staring at... a girl.
Not even looking to see who it was, Avera grabbed a square bale of hay and swooped it up on her way to them. Reaching the group, she spoke authoritativly: "Hey, Rathan," she called out to the oldest guy in the group. The moment he looked her way, she threw the hay bale at him with unnecessary force to make her point known. He caught it as she expected him to, and the boys slowly started to wander off... not fast enough for Avera's liking, though. Avera put her hands in front of her and they moved to illustrate her words: "Work? Job? Horses? It's why you're here," she finished with a slight shooing motion. When the last guy had rentered the stable's shadow, Avera turned to see who had been so fascinating...
Avera recognized the young woman with a smile. It was the girl from the night before, Kimya, and she had been doing some apparent shopping. On the off chance that she may need some horse-related help, Avera headed out to meet her.

Kymia waved when she saw Avera coming towards her," Hey, Avera," she said, walking towards her. When she got closer, Kymia smiled and said," Avera, could you possibly help me find a suitable horse? I need one to help me conduct my daily business. One that's reliable," she put her free hand on her hip and slightly tilted her head," Oh, yea, and how's your brother, Tim?" she asked sympathetically.
Kaiteki had been walking around for a while when he decided that he would go to the stables where Avera would probably be. Sure enough, when he got there, she was there with Kymia. He waved at the two of them and began walking faster.
"Hey, Avera. Kymia," he said.
((OOC: Sorry so short. I got things to do. >.>))

Tristen walked slowly through the streets. There was no reason to be on time he thought. After all he was done with school, and he could do as he pleased. He passes house after house on his way to the school. He was about a minute away when he spotted a familiar figure ahead of him. It just happened to be his ‘favorite’ person in the world. A mischievous grin spread across his face; this might be worth being a few more minutes late. He was sure that the instructor wouldn’t mind once he sweet talked her.
He increased his walking pace and caught up with Zachary Bortain, who seemed to be looking for something.
“Lost something Zac? Or did you just forget where your going?” he said in a voice dripping with sarcasm.

"Hey, Kaiteki." Avera responded with a smile to her 'other brother.'
Returning to Kimya, Avera was glad to be of help. "Sure, she said, we've got a few for sale. Or even for rent, but I'm guessing you'll want to buy one, huh? Come on, I'll show you," she said, begining to turn.
"Oh yeah," she remembered with a grin, "Tim's doing fine."

Zac said nothing. He didn't feel like getting into a confrontation at the moment. All he wanted to do was find a house so he wouldn't have to stay with his sister any longer. Not that he didn't love her... He just had to be independent.
"Still living with mommy and daddy?" he asked Tristen. "Haven't gotten out of J'ra aye?"

Tristen smiled. “Actually, no. I’m not living with my mommy and daddy. Unlike you, I have a place of my own. Oh, I get it. You’re looking for a house,” he laughed. “Well happy hunting,” he said sarcastically, “Maybe you should consider that beauty right there.” He pointed to a shabby looking house across the street that looked like it have been empty for years and was in need of serious repair.
“I’ll see you around, Zachary. If you want you could stop by my place. It’s right down the street from here. You couldn’t miss it. It’s the best looking one on this street.” With that he walked off with an arrogance in his stride. You could tell it was him coming form a mile away.

(OCC: I don't know if its my turn to post yet or not but here goes.)
IC: Kymia slighty knodded her head in Kaiteki's way to acknowledge his presence,"Hello, Kai. How are you?"
Turning back to Avera, noticing that she was about to walk off she heard her say that Tim was fine and that they had a few horses for sale or rent, she followed Avera across the stable," Yea, I definetly need one for the keeping. I was thinking maybe a brown one, reliable, not to jumpy, you know? A good horse." Kymia hated the smell of a stable but loved horses, so she figured she might as well get used to it. She looked over her shoulder at Kaiteki," Come on, Kaiteki, you can help me pick." She continued to follow Avera in a happy care-free way.

Avera thought about it, and she quickly knew which horse would suit Corinth's needs. She led her to a stall on the right, Stall #12, and its beautiful occupant.
"I know he's not brown," Avera explained in defense of the horse, 'but he's close," she smiled. Standing before them was a stallion shining so black that he shone nearly blue. His stocky build made whatever being that may think of the horse as small quickly change their mind. "He's 14 1/2 hands tall, and he's fast like lightning. Very mature - 6 & 1/2 years old. What do you think?Avera queried as she turned away smoth from her to another horse in Stable #13 across the hallway. Avera hoped Kimya would call once she had decided whether yes or no about the stud horse.
