Jhaptal walked towards the sound of splashing water, but didn't actually walk into eye shot of the group. He stopped a little before that and began a single kodachi kata with his left hand. Every once in a while he would gauge the amount of infection left in his right and noted that it would probably be fine in an hour or two.

Mizuki giggled as Blade tried to get more into the water.

"Da!Da!" Blade cooed and Mizuki looked at him in surprise. She turned her gaze to Siren.

"Is this normal for Dark Angels?" she asked Siren. Blade tugged on her arms, he really wanted to be submerged again.

"Uhh... I would say no," Siren replied, staring at the child in bewilderment. "Maybe it's because he only has half angel blood. Whatever it is, it can't be healthy." She almost ended it at that, but added as an after thought, "But if he ever does learn how to swim with those wings there maybe he can teach me."

She smiled nostalgically and sat down at the edge of the water, dipping her feet, which she had never put boots on that morning, into the water.

Soran endured Rai's splashing as he listened to Mizuki and Siren, then dunked the girl unceremoniously underwater and brought her up again with a smug look on his straight face.

Mizuki nodded. "Hopefully it's just because of his half blood." she said. Come to think of it, Blade was a mix of things. Half Dark Angel, then his elven blood, and his human blood. Mizuki thought of all the things that might be possible with the mix. Would he be able to fly? Would there be some deadly side effect? WOULD HE DIE IN PUBERTY!?

Mizuki blinked in surprise and shook her head. No, don't think of that now..."

"Da!!Da!!" Blade insisted more and more until Mizuki finally gave in and swan into the water with her son. She Manganed to keep her footing at the bottom so she didn't have to tread water. Blade cooed at the water around him and sloshed his arms around in it.

"Whatever makes you happy." Mizuki sighed, smiling.

Rai coughed and sputtered out the water, then narrowed her eyes on Soran, reaching up and tugging on his hair to try and put his hand in the water like he did her. She giggled playfully with a malicious grin on her face.

Soran made a startled gasp at the unexpected tugging on his hair, instinctively following the pressure until he realized he'd splashed his own face into the water and then recoiling instinctively, drawing Rai's whole weight up first with his hair and then relieving some of the pressure by seizing her by one arm. Tickling the soggy girl strategically with his free hand, he got her to release his hair and then swung her in a circle and plopped her back in the shallows. Momentarily out of the crisis situation, he rubbed his smarting scalp.

Rai giggled as Soran tickled her, her feet uncontrollably kicking around and splashing water around. She giggled even more until her giggle was cut short by the flopping of her body into the water. She sat up on her knees to where the water came almost to her shoulders. "Not fair!" she called to him, pointing.

"It's fair," Soran returned casually, disappearing underwater and swimming to Mizuki, putting most of the work into his good arm. He surfaced behind her in a burst of spray, then splashed a wave of water over her from behind so that her hair washed into her face. It felt good to know that they were all safe and could do as they pleased, for once. Even the dull throb in his shoulder didn't matter to him at the moment; the cold water felt good against it and it really had healed remarkably in comparison to the night before.

Mizuki spurted as the water cleared away. She tried to pushed her hair out of her face while Blade giggled and squirmed in her arms.

"Soran!!!" she called out in mock anger. She turned around with Blade in her arms and lost her footing. She fell under and panicked knowing her had taken Blade down with her. She thrusted Blade up above the water, trying to get Soran to take him so she can bring herself back up.

Soran scooped up Blade as Mizuki went under, donked her on the head, while she was down there, then held Blade safely on his chest as he floated on his back and worked on getting as far from Mizuki as possible before she recovered again.

Mizuki flinched as Soran "donked" her, and jumped up to the surface spitting out water and looking menacingly around for the rouge. Blade cooed in Soran's arms and Mizuki quickly found them and swam over to them.

"You are sooo lucky you have my son in your hands!" she called out with an evil smile as she swam to them. She stopped swimming and treaded water for a bit. She'd get her revenge later she figured. So she stuck her tounge out at him. "Now you're babysitter!" She swam on her back, enjoying her free time.

A grin spread across the rogue's face at Mizuki's menacing words and when he looked at Blade, he felt pretty sure the child felt the same way. Soran carefully stretched out each of Blade's tiny wings, then watched curiously as Blade flopped them around playfully before curling them behind his back again. He swam to where he could stand and stood up, raising his eyes to the sky. The sun had just ducked behind a large cloud, and the air was cooler for now. It was also getting close to midday already. "Rai," he said, setting Blade into a thick nest of grass on the riverbank and moving to a spot a few feet deep about ten yards from where Rai was standing. "If you can swim over here, I might let you dunk me," he said thoughtfully, crossing his arms.

Rai grinned and walked out until she couldn't touch anymore and she tried to swim like Soran had taught her, at first she sunk slightly, her arms going under her and soon it went from swimming like a human to something resembling how a dog would swim. She giggled as she slowly, very slowly, went towards Soran. She struggled slightly, her head bobbing in and out of he the water since her body seemed to want to sink like a rock...

Finally, after what seemed like forever to Rai, she made it to Soran and giggled so much that her head slipped under.

As soon as Rai reached him, Soran reached his arm down for her to hang on if she was tired. "Not bad at all," he said impartially, but couldn't repress a proud smile as he messed up Rai's wet hair.
