Lore: Journey to the Border
(OOC: I still have to read up on the Shogun actually ^^;;; I'm lazy!)
Kyosuke just sat behind Shinobu and looked around the city. This was going to be the place that he would break off from her. Once they found the Shogun that is. "Shinobu-dono, do you remember anything about the woman who attacked you in the monastery?" he asked. He hadn't gotten that much information about her yet, and would need it if he was to track her down.

Shinobu blinked and then stared off into space, trying to remember something. She couldn't remember anything except that the appearance didn't look like the woman she had been with.
"She changed her appearance," she told him softly. "Its blurry at the moment, but if I think harder I can figure it out... Just give me some time.."

Vladimir was sleeping unscrupulously, stretched backwards in the saddle to lie across his horse's rump with his arms crossed over his chest as they rode into the city. His horse appeared almost visibly relieved that its unpredictable rider had become manageable for a while, and moved as if it was tiptoeing. He made a strange sight, but the journey was dull and company duller in the morose atmosphere and his own mood, so he'd simply fallen asleep. Down the street ahead of them, a large painted sign reading "Felnar's Inn" stood off one of the buildings.
Ylia patted the side of her stallion's neck as they entered into the city. Hepian seemed like a lake-city to her... Calm on the surface, but complicated and turmoultuous underneath.
She looked behind her to see Shidobu and Kyosuke riding to gether. A smile animated her smooth lips as she watched them. sigh She only wished that they had a chance to love in peace. Then again, perhaps that's not the way their love was supposed to be. It was their pinpoint of sunshine in all the fighting that they were a part of.

Kaze just looked on blandly. She had been here once before so it was nothing new. But what she missed was its School. It was small, but its students were amazing. If she could get the chance, she like to go back and say hello.
In responce to her memories of the school, Kaze cracked a smile. In the front of one of the store's was a youth of 11 years. He had blonde hair and bright blue eyes. He looked towards the riders and immediantly recongized Kaze, even without her scarf.
"Miss Uindo!" cried the youth out in joy as he broke away from his mother to greet his former teacher. Kaze looked over and laughed merrily. She stopped Kami and dismounted him quickly, holding out her arms to the young boy. He ran into her arms and she swept him up in a big hug.
"My, my, darling Joseph! You've grown!" Kaze exclaimed happily to the young boy. She remembered all of her old students fondly.
"And you have changed Miss Uindo! Your scarf is one! Is your horrible skin condition all better?"
Kaze laughed, remembering the small lie she had told them. "Yes, darling, it has." Joseph smiled brightly.
"You must come back and teach! Our new teacher is bald and smells funny." Joseph made a face while recalling his teacher. Kaze smiled and set the boy down on his feet.
"One day I will come back," she lied, "But right now I'm on an important mission."
"Ooohhh!! Really!? What are you doing?!"
"It's aa secrete." Kaze said, tweeking the kid's nose gently.

Vlad's eyes drifted open and he found that they had finally gotten to the city. About time, he thought to himself, teleporting off the horse, which stumbled in confusion at the sudden lack of weight on its back. The vampire materialized next to Talon, ignoring the unpleasant feeling he got from using his power, and grinned at the elf casually. "Well, seems you've done a lovely job getting here, and that makes my job of escort as directed by the queen, finally, completed. So, here I'll take my leave of you all," he said charmingly, giving those who were present an irreverant bow.

Talon's eyes glanced towards the vampire cautiously. "Where will you be going?" he asked, the image of the vampire meeting up with his sister suddenly coming to his mind. Talon closed his eyes as if the image were before him, and it faded with great will from his mind.
How his sister, if she really was invovled, which he was doubting more and more since Vlad had failed to mention her to him yet.

"Oh, you know. Earning scout badges, frolicking on rooftops and other vampiric good deeds. Besides, I've heard there are some very charming individuals taking up residence here, and since I have some spare time, I may as well confirm what substance there is to the rumors. Don't look so upset though, fearless elven leader; if you miss me, I'm sure you can find a way to locate me," he said with a grin.

Talon narrowed his eyes on the vampire. "I'm sure I can find away," he said, putting his hands inside his pockets and pulling out the letter that the priest had given him.
Up until this moment he had forgotten about it, but Vladimir's look seemed to remind him of it. Talon read the note, but he wondered if telling Vladimir that the only way to get the spell he had on him removed was to do a selfless act would help him... Telling someone to do something selfless to save themselves might make them do it on perpose, which isn't really selfless.
"You have a spell on you Vladimir," he said, putting the note away. Well, not really a spell, Talon told himself.
"I think you might want to stay with us until we figure out a way to get it off you," he told the vampire cooly.

Kaze turned from the little boy who had gone back to his mother and turned to Kami.
"I remember the reason of why I must live." she said to the horse/man smiling. Kami grunted in responce. Kaze giggled to herself and mounted Kami again and realized her group had kept going and didn't notice she had stopped. It made her twitch slightly and put a solemn frown back on her face. She pushed Kami forward to catch back up to her group.

Vlad's eyes narrowed for a moment on Talon, trying to weigh how much the elf knew and why he knew what he knew. Only Kami and Kaze had been present around the time the priest performed the ritual on him, and he had concealed the effects from all but Kyosuke, who surely didn't understand them...not that Vladimir really understood them himself. He considered the suspicion that Talon had somehow been involved in planning the spell, but there wasn't enough information to know that yet. It seemed he had cause to stick around these people a bit more after all.
"I'm sure I can take care of myself, but since you seem so anxious about losing my company, I'll come back and find you outside that inn tomorrow morning," the vampire said calmly, gesturing toward the painted sign and turning away. He gave a nod to Kaze as they passed each other, then disappeared, reappearing less than a block away and walking on. He had intended to teleport further, but until he understood the unseen force that seemed to punch him in the chest every time he used his power, he decided not to push it.

"Yes sir." she said evenly. Absently, she scanned the town for anymore of her old students. She had teached in many different towns, never staying for more than a year. And each of her classes had adored her. She stopped Kami, thought for a moment then dismounted him again. "I am going to a stable to put Kami back in his human form." she said and gave no explanation as to why he even has a human form.
She went off in the direction of the nearest stable in and Kami poofed back into his naked human form, away from other eyes. Kami graicously smiled at Kaze and put on his monk robe.
"When we can, I'd like to buy some different clothes." he said. Kaze nodded and smiled at him. They soon returned to where Talon and the other's were.

(OOC: Sorry, I've been bad with keeping up with RPs lately. Also, I'm going to have to start reading up on the Shogun's posts very soon.)
Kyosuke sighed. "It's alright Shinobu-dono, but if you remember anything else about her, tell me," he said. He didn't point out that once he got enough information, he would probably go off to hunt her down, but that was besides the point.
