Vladimir humphed. "Come on! You're talking to the most hopeless lot of goody goodies this side of Lowight. Next, why don't you ask them to go kick some poor people," he scoffed. "Besides, after a bluff like that, I'm too interested in you to go anywhere without finding out whether Dark Mages really do taste like chicken." He cast the man a fanged grin, as his horse nervously skitted backward so that it was nearer the others.

The Dark Mage raised an eyebrow at Vlad. He lifted his finger and flicked it in Vlad's direction. In an instant, Vlad was thrown from his horse.

"Now," the Mage directed his attention back to Kaze and Kami, who were struggling to their feet and quickly throwing the monk robe back onto Kami. "My pet come here." When his demanding voice didn't work, he used his power. Kaze jerked foward, gliding across the ground and into his arms. Kaze tried to struggle away from him, but to no avale.

"Let her go!" Kami yelled out.

"And you'll do what? Ninja?" the Mage smirked viciously and pushed Kami back down on his rump with his magic. "Although I know you all will fight back. I'll give you another chance. Leave her now."

Shinobu was numb for a moment until she remembered the amulet. She pulled it out from under her kimono where it was hidden. Pulling it over her neck, she handed it to Kyosuke, wondering what he would do with it.

Talon had had enough. He was fed up with it all and was ready to get to his sister. He looked to Vlad as he was unceremoniously tossed from his horse. Talon got off his horse, his black cloak billowing around him.

Talon’s silver hair fell in front of his face for a moment. He pushed it back and looked up. “You know, I really want out of this forest soon and your standing in my way. To make it easier on you…” Talon put his hands together and a loud howling noise came, the trees creaked and then groaned as a large wind began to blow, Talon’s hair blowing around him.

“I can strike you with lighting, and not harm the girl,” Talon warned. “I can wipe your memory of ever knowing her. So take your pick. Die here, or die later? Even if you do come back for her, I’ll kill you then if needed. I’ve fought five Dark Mages… and most of them I killed with my sword. So let her go, now.”

Vladimir brought himself back upright with a narrow glare. He had been caught off guard, but it wouldn't happen twice. He stepped up behind Talon through the swirling wind and eyed the Black Mage hungrily.

(OOC: Sorry bout that, all my RPs are starting to blend together. I've made mistakes on my own characters name also y'know. So from now on I'll try to remember I'm RPing with Kamikaze ^^)

Kyosuke shook his head and handed it back to her. "Keep it with you, if you have it on he can't hurt you with his magic," he said. "And I have no intention of helping Kaze anyway," he added with a somewhat cold tone on his voice.

He tried to be impassive regarding the going ons around him, but he was caught off guard when the horse Kaze was sitting on turned into a man. He blinked a few times before returning to silence.

The Dark Mage smiled and mockingly bowed to Talon. "Then I'll be on my way, killer of Dark Mages." his tone was calm and even. Kaze's eyes were wild as she was pulled against him. It was the same feeling of rough fabric against her skin... The same feeling of powerful hands on her arms... It filled her with so much fear.

"But just to let you know, sir," the Dark Mage started to walk away with Kaze. She couldn't even struggle. "You're traveling with a killer."

"That's a lie!" Kami cried out, getting back to his feet and coming up behind Talon and Vlad. The Dark Mage laughed.

"Why do you think she's wearing this scarf? She's hiding her idenity. She murdered someone. Think of me as her jailguard, and the murderer got away. I'm merely doing my job as Jailguard and returning the prisoner back to her cell."

Kaze's eyes filled with tears. But she could say nothing in her defense. She had killed no one, but the Dark Mage was making it impossible for her to speak.

Talon looked at Kaze with his silver eyes. "Then she'll be among friends," he said. "Because at one time all of us have commited murder. Maybe two of us haven't, I don't know. But, it was all for good causes I'm sure. If I must committ that crime again to save another I'll do it in a heart beat. Kaze doesn't have to fear being with us, and we don't fear being with her. So stop trying to taunt, your wasting your time."

Shinobu put the amulet back around her neck, loooking at Kyosuke for a moment with curious expression.

The Dark Mage smirked. You couldn't tell what was conducting in his mind through his eyes. But he surprised Kaze when he pushed her forward. She landed on her hands and knees, and he sliced off her scarf. It fell to the ground at her hands and as a reflex she covered her face.

"She's a cold blooded murderer." the Dark Mage reapted, as if he was making sure they were making the right decision.

"And you'r physoctic." Kami said, glaring at him. "Leave her alone."

"Then I'll return when you realize your mistake." the Mage smirked. "She cursed because of her crime..." he leaned down close over Kaze and whispered in her ear. "And she will be unable to avoid it with me on her tail." Kaze knew what he was talking about, and her heart stopped beating.

She fell to her side just as the Dark Mage dissapeared.

Talon smiled. "We all have our curses," he said, though he doubted the man knew how true that was.

Talon stepped forward, kneeling down next to the woman. He touched her shoulder gently and smiled. "No curse on this group could be worst than Vladimir," he told her.

Kami jogged forward and kneeled beside Kaze. Even though he's back in human form now, all his herited animal instincts were still there. The hairs on the back of his neck prickled as he turned her over on the ground gently.

For the first time since he's known her, her scarf was off. What he could see before was beautiful eyes, but now they were only like small gold coins amond diamonds. Her face was beautiful, for lack of better words. Full lips, high cheek bones and smooth skin with a golden tinge. Her nose was small but cute... and her eyes were still open. The light was gone in them.

Kami panicked. "She's dead! The bastard killed her!!" he cried out.

OOC: Btw, not trying to make Kaze have attention or whatever. I just kinda wanted you guys to experience the effect her, uh, attacker has on her....>_>

Talon looked up at the horse man, blankely. "I doubt she died so easily," Talon told him. "I have a feeling that Miss Kaze has more strengths than she uses."

Kami looked at him with wild eyes. "But her eyes are open!" he didn't understand at all what Talon was trying to say. "There's no breath in her mouth!"

Talon looked at Kami and then at Kaze. Talon would have been very disappointed if his assumption was true and the woman had been scared literally to death. He had thought she was a strong woman, but he mighth have been wrong.

Talon just couldn't believe that she would have died so easily. His hands felt for a pulse. But, there wasn't anything he could do for a dead woman, he could call the dead... But, he would never do that to Kaze...

"Kaze," Talon said, shaking her. Maybe it was shock, shock could do this for a few minutes... Couldn't it?

Kaze's eyes stayed still, but they teared at the corners and she gasped for air as if she had just been released from suffocation. She blinked, her eyes stinging and tearing. She coughed. She felt her face, realizing her scarf was gone she scrambled to hide her face. Again, she couldn't remember what had just happened.

"Kaze!" Kami cried and hugged her. Kaze blinked in surprise, lookng at Kami while her fingers tried to hide her face. "Gods! I thought you were dead!"

"What," she finaly said, slowly. "What are you talking about?" Kami looked at her.

"You collapsed. Well, the Dark Mage came and almost attacked us! He tried to take you away but Talon stopped him... well, he actually just talked the guy into leaving you alone. But, er... wait...are you ok?" Kaze's face was pale, well, the parts of it Kami could see.

"Why is my scarf off? I collapsed? T-the Dark........ mage....? Why don't I remember this?" her eyes flicked back and forth as she stared at the ground, trying to find her answers. Again, again something had happened between her and the Dark Mage and she couldn't remember.

Vladimir looked down at Kaze. In another situation, he might have quipped that she should unmask her face more often, but right now he was only interested in one thing. With a growl deep in his throat, he took off in the direction he thought the black mage had gone, his body moving too quickly to see as he used teleportation to add speed to his movement.
