Holier Than Thou

[Soran Nightblade]

The vampire did drop his gaze then. "Normal human relationships." He narrowed his eyes in concentration to get the words out. "If it's something in the bedroom, I can tone it down."

Tenele stared at him very seriously, and then burst out laughing. It felt good to laugh. "There is nothing wrong with what you do in the bedroom," she giggled.

He stared up at her, not sure if he should be hurt by her laughter. "No?" he asked carefully.

[Emora Deen]

"Definitely not," she told him. "I like what you do in the bedroom. Very much." She kissed his nose.

He smirked then, glad for the attention. "I know. Just wanted to be sure you knew," he muttered dishonestly. "Then, is it about children?"

"I mean, if you'd like, I won't eat any more unless I absolutely have to," he teased.

Tenele smirked at him. "You've been eating children behind my back?" she asked, arching an eyebrow. "And I thought I knew you better than that. I do hope you washed them first and dressed them with a little seasoning, perhaps." Tenele definitely didn't think he was serious about the question, so she played along with his game.

"Fine, but what seasonings are used on children in normal human relationships?" Vlad smirked, leaning cuddling over her. "It's been so long, I'm out of practice."

Tenele blinked at him. "Its been so long since you seasoned children?" She was confused now, but unable to tell what the game was anymore. "You usually don't eat children in normal human relationships. Its frowned upon."

"Fine, no more children," Vlad muttered in fake exasperation. "But no more clothing for you. It's not normal for vampire relationships. There needs to be cultural compromise here."

[Emora Deen]

Tenele smirked. "Fine, I'll walk around naked all the time. I'm sure you won't have an exorbitant kill count by the end of the first day."

Vlad gave some thought to this. "It's possible I might be slightly protective," he admitted.

He buried his nose in the crook of her neck, enjoying her body heat. "Espha complained that her father would not teach her the sword. He encouraged her to be a scholar instead," he said, seemingly out of nowhere. "What would you say, if your daughter asked to lead our life? To become a warrior?"

"I think part of me would be terrified, and the other part very proud. But, I'd really just want to lock her in her room so she'd be safe forever. That's frowned upon too. I'm pretty sure its on the same level as eating babies actually." Tenele traced the tips of her good fingers over his arm. "But, I won't have to worry about what my children will or will not want."

"Could you see me as a father?" Vlad mused, kissing her neck lightly.

Tenele was suddenly very perplexed by his question. She grew quiet and thought about it. She imagined Vlad, and what he'd be like as a father. "I could... A fiercely, albeit, over protective father. But, I wouldn't complain about that. If we had a son he'd be well prepared for the ladies, and for any sort of fight. If we had a daughter... well, she'd never date. Ever." Tenele chuckled, and then grew very quiet. Why was he talking about this like it could happen. Tenele swallowed hard, blinking the tears away.

For some reason, the thought of Tenele imagining him as a father was enthralling. "A daughter..." He ran his tongue along her neck, absentmindedly affectionate while he found himself thinking crazy things. What if there was a child...Would she look like Tenele? Would she have those same willful green eyes? Would she be poised and loyal, like Espha was to her father? Would she laugh at his stories and cry at his scoldings?

Oh my god, he suddenly stopped himself. Why had he never thought of these things? How much had Tenele thought of them? He had literally never considered it before now. And now that he was considering it, theories were popping into his head.

"Remember when we were switched, human and vampire?" he murmured into her neck, only taking the idea half seriously. "I wonder what would happen if they redid that...if I made love to you as a human, and then returned your body to normal..." But the whole ordeal had been an accident, and really quite dangerous. He wasn't even sure if he'd been truly alive and fertile at that point. But there was a chance he was. He honestly knew very little about such things.
