Appearance: Himoto stands at five feet seven and a half inches. She has fiery red hair that falls to her lower back tied neatly in a ponytail. Her blue eyes seem to hold back a hidden fire in them and burn with passion. She normally wears a white gi top that is tucked into her loose red pants that hugs her decent sized chest and her lean frame and exposes a slight bit of cleavage. She also wears a pair of black shoes. On her hip is a katana, tucked inside a red belt. The pommel of the hilt is decorated with the head of a dragon, as is the end of the sheath. The handguard of the katana looks like a dragon that wrapped itself around the top of the hilt twice. On the back of her shirt is her Amaryu family's crest, two sets of three dragon's talons, each set on either side of her back. The clothes she wears are fireproof, due to the family sword style.
Attacks/Abilities: The Amaryu family uses fire powers and each family member develops a style for themselves after being taught the basics of swordsmanship.
1. Karyuken - The swords of Amaryu family members are usually wrapped in fire while in battle. In addition to burning as well as cutting, it hides the blade of their swords so that the true danger, the cut of the blade, is harder to avoid.
2. Hiseme - A blast of fire, either from her hands or her sword.
3. Hinankan - A barrier of fire that appears either all around her or in specific places she'd like it to for defense against wooden arrows.
4. Karyushi - The ultimate attack of the Amaryu. A wave of fire is produced by the user strong enough to wipe out everything in a 100 yard radius. It drains the user of all its energy and takes days to recover.
5. Heat sense - Any member of the Amaryu family can sense heat. They can determine whether there is a living thing in the area from that.
6. Fast healing - The dragon blood in her enables a faster healing than normal humans have.
Weakness: Rain is definitely one of Himoto's enemies. Though water does not hurt her, as it'd be ridiculously amusing to see a dragon dying because he got caught in heavy rain and thus cannot be a trait to pass on to a half dragon, it can put out the flames of the technique she is using. Of course, if it is a light rain, the water that hits her techniques evaporates, but heavy rains will end up putting a lot of stress on the user to maintain the fire. Half dragons need to put some of their energy into producing the fire as opposed to full dragons who can produce flames with barely an effort. Producing her Hinankan around herself would also block off her view of the enemy, and this cannot be used effectively when fighting against a melee enemy. The heat sensing ability of her family does not work on the undead, unless the said undead is on fire for some reason
Biography: The Amaryu family is a noble family of half dragons on one of Ongoreth's islands. Once every 250 years, a dragon in human form will come to mate with the heir of the family due to an agreement between the family and the dragons made long ago. The dragons come back only once every thousand years to replenish the dragon blood in the family's veins which has thinned by then. Himoto was born during the 130 year mark after the last replenishing. However, the blood in her veins is thicker than any others in her family. Nine months before she was born, the Orochi, the eight headed "demon" dragon of legend who was rejected by the others of his kind, showed up. However, he did not show up as a guest of the family, but instead just found attraction to them. The heir to the house, Himoto's mother, Kazi, had already married by then, seeing that no dragon was expected to show up for another 120 years. The Orochi broke into the manor and killed Kazi's husband and raped her. However, seeing that he was in human form, the identity of the rapist was not known to the Amaryu family. The Orochi, being a being that completely loved to see suffering, put a curse on Kazi so that after the child was born, she would die. That came true when Himoto was born. She was the youngest of a family of three children, now orphaned. She was the only female of the three. The other lord on the island saw this as a chance to take the large amount of land that the family possessed, but did not wish to risk angering the Daimyo with a breach of Bushido. He instead waited until the youngest of the children was 15 and an adult before waging war with the mighty Amaryu family. By then, the oldest son would only still be 19. The Amaryu soldiers, led by inexperienced leaders, quickly fell under the attack. It is from this war that Himoto got her reputation. She refused to sit still and let the war pass her by. The servants in the palace let her go for the last battle, seeing that there had she stayed, she would have met fates worse than death when the manor fell. During that last battle, she became known as the "Thousand Slayer" for she managed to kill one thousand of her enemies before taking a cut across her chest and being left for dead. However, the wound wasn't fatal enough to kill her and her healing kicked in soon after. When she awoke, the battle was over and there was a new lord ruling over the land. She rushed the castle, and the soldiers recognized her and feared her, not only as the Thousand Slayer, but thinking of her as a ghost who had risen from beyond the grave. When she finally reached the new lord, she realized exactly how cowardly the man was and left him, realizing the pointlessness of revenge. For that reason, she had given up her quest to find the killer of her mother and instead focused on just living her life to the fullest.
Extras: Himoto has a happy demeanor towards other people. She tends to be naturally kind though she has a quick and fiery temper. Anybody that rouses that anger will usually receive a painful beating. There are bounties on her head posted by the lord who was now in control over the island she was from, but the amounts are too small for people to hunt the Thousand Slayer down for. That lord is too busy paying for soldiers to fend off people who would try and take over his land, since rumor of him being a coward has spread since his near death experience at the hands of Himoto. The katana she wears on her hip was a gift from her friends. They were kids from the town that the manor was built near and had all pitched in enough money to buy a katana for her, despite her having more than enough money to buy her own. It is her most treasured possession and she only lets people she trusts near it in any way other than hitting or cutting them with it. The dragon blood flowing in her veins also makes her live longer than a normal human as well as increase her physical strength in addition to giving her fire powers.
