ACTIVE Vladimir, the No Life King

Post by Soran Nightblade »

Name: Vladimir Dracul (Vlad )

Gender: Male

Race: No Life King

Job/Class: Demon Hunter

Appearance: Has short, black hair. His eyes are red and bloodshot. Pale as death (figuratively speaking). For some reason he's always grinning. Most women find him handsome. Stands about 1,89 m in height, and weights about 78 kg. Usually dresses a red tunic, that makes those who touch it become somewhat numb and soothed, as if on drugs, bringing him an odd advantage in close-quarters combat (depending on the enemy's will power). Has a golden ring that bears the carving of a dragon. He wears no weapon, relying on his brutal strength and magic powers.

Magic: Vlad uses his magical abilities in a different way. Instead of having to rest to replenish his powers, he uses his enemies' blood as a means of regaining his energy. If there's no blood available, he uses his own, though that'd lead to his death if done repeatedly. Also, his higher level powers are blocked, only becoming acessible if his enemy is clearly more powerful than him in the current Block Stage. To advance to the next stage, I need to spend one post.

Block Stage C Powers (always acessible):

Regeneration: Allows him to heal even the most critical of wounds slowly but steadily. At higher stages it can even bring him back from the 2nd death (as long as his head's in place). He's a No Life King after all...

Teleportation: Allows him to appear and disappear wherever he wants. Available distances vary according to the current Block Stage.

Claws of Tiger: Allows him to turn his fingernails into retractable claws, sharp as the finest sword.

Telekinesis: The name says it all. The higher the current stage, the greater his proficiency will be.

Block Stage B Powers (available after C):

Wings of Bat: A pair of leathery wings sprout from his back. Useful for transportation through the night, and striking at airborne enemies.

Free Shape: Allows him to morph into whatever he wants (except dragons and other powerful creatures). Flocks of creatures are also available in later stages (bats are his favourite!). Though a flock of black sheep is suspicious...

Ward of Blood: A red circle with a pentagram inside appears in front of him, acting as a shield. A lot of blood is burned, but the shield is unbreakable.

Block Stage A Powers (the last stage):

Hellhound: Summons his familiar, a dog of the Abyss.
It can fight alongside him, and use some spells of his own, like spitting out fire.

True Fear: Scans his opponent's mind for their deepest fears, and creates a visual illusion. Others may witness the scanned one's inner fears, and be affected to some extent.

Divine Mercy: He's no longer affected by divine spells. Takes even more blood to maintain than Ward of Blood

~*~

Weaknesses: He is very susceptible to holy spells, or any other thing that's holy. Can't drink blood at his leisure, (a true weakness for a vampire) unless allowed to by one of Ighten's rulers... or if his foe's blood is edible.

Biography: Vlad, child of noblemen, was given the upbringing of a knight, as his parents died while he was young, entrusting their only child to the Paladin Vesemir. During the Queen Wars, he commandeered his county's forces, and was one of the most feared commanders of Ighten. His brilliant tactics, together with his great prowess in battle that gave heart even to a coward, lead him from victory to victory, and he took the war deeper and deeper into Arken. There, he fought an army of demons, and was turned by a vampire in the battle. He killed it, though he never became quite the same. The battle was won, but his army was almost completely destroyed, and so there was no choice but to return to his homeland. There, a wizard from the court discovered what he'd been turn into, and suggested that he became a No Life King at Queen Sinead's service. He agreed, as his reputation had sunk among his realm's people after he became a vampire (something related with "blood donation taxes"...). The wizard and his apprentices experimented on him like a plaything for a few years, and when they were through, Vlad became a powerful No Life King. Fearing his powers would make him try and do something smart like destroying the world (cliché, I know...) , the wizards sealed his more powerful abilities, only to be used when there was utter need, and as long as it didn't involve fighting against Ighten. One of Queen Sinead's greatest weapons, this has made him a tad arrogant.

Personality: Vlad considers himself superior to most creatures. This has made him utterly friendless, as most smart creatures don't want to associate with him. He often drives his enemies into "madness" with his taunting. Takes pleasure in killing Shea's demons. When bored, often has fun being a womanizer and a peeper, and sometimes he's bold enough to try and hit on the Queen's Maidens. He cares little about the evils of the world now, as his immortal condition gave him a bleak outlook in other people's lives. For personal reasons, he kills his victims after drinking blood, as to prevent anyone from spreading his curse.

Extras:
Telepathy: He can read the thoughts of his opponents and allies. Good for checking their next move.

No Feelings At All: Cannot be influenced negatively by other's feelings.
