Emora:
Cassandra landed on a crowded city street, causing some to run and scream and others to look on bored. Her wings disappeared into her back again as her eyes peered around the town. She was hungry and she could hear thousands of heartbeats in her ears. Her eyes flashed brightly with a hollow town as they caught the light of a torch. She turned and looked into the sky for Kensei and the fallen angel.
Cassandra had taken a nosedive to the ground and pulled out of it, landing with grace on the ground. You want to give all that I have given you up? The power to live forever and heal quickly… the power to fly. The power to kill with out remorse… She remembered him saying. But he was wrong. She did feel remorse and that is why she wanted to be human again. She wanted to demon out of her and she wanted her soul back. She didn’t want to be damned.
Kyosuke:
Kensei pointed at Cassandra, who was descending into the lights that made up Darkwood, even though it would have been futile with the fallen angel's lack of nightvision, "You see the winged form that's descending?" he asked rhetorrically, "follow it, or follow mine." The halfling followed Cassandra down and landed next to her.
Mizuki:
Mitsukai dropped behind the two and looked around. 'Eh, everything's soo daaark.' she thought, but stayed far away from Kensei and Cassandra. In her mind, something was off with the both of them and she figure she wanted no part of it anymore,. It was starting to eat at her too.
"Ok, I thank you for taking me this far. I shall be out of your hair now!" she smiled, even though they probably couldn't see it in the dark and turned around only to fall over a rock. "Ow..." she flushed and got back up and waved trying to forget her fall.
"Maybe I'll see you people around sometime!" she called out and went into the direction of an inn to get a room for herself.
OOC: ah hehehe, I'll leave you guys here! ^-^;
Emora:
Cassandra turned as the fallen angel spoke. Cassandra hadn't known the woman long enough to really care if she came or went. She stood tall, almost blending in with her dark surroundings. Her face was expressionless as usual, her yellow eyes staring at her. "Bye."
Her eyes drifted to Kensei and she looked him over. "Are you tired?" she asked emotionlessly. They had flown for a while. She was hungry and having trouble with her blood lust at the moment.
Kyosuke:
Kensei let the fallen angel walk off and nodded to Cassandra. "Yeah," he said plainly. They had been flying for three days and he would be completely out for a good eight hours because of his conflicting blood. He didn't like staying up past one day because of that problem, but he didn't have much of a choice this time. He would be unable to be woken up for those eight hours. However, he had been thinking about resolving his problem during the whole flight and wasn't quite sure what to do about it yet.
Emora:
Cassandra nodded and turned in a full circle looking around. She spotted an inn just a few buildings over called, "The Watcher". She pointed to it and looked to Kensei. "I'll get one room and two beds... There is no need to waste money in this place." Her tone was its usual.
She walked into the inn, which was alive with drunk men and woman, bustling barmaids. She walked straight in with that grace that came from being the living dead. She walked to the innkeeper. "I would like one room... with two beds."
"Aye, 'old on a sec..." the thin innkeeper said and turned around fishing through a box of keys. He seemed very unorganized. He handed her a key with a number on it that was almost worn off. It was... as far as she could tell.... number 11. She turned to Kensei and handed the key to him. "A bath 'ouse is in the far back room. Or ya can just use the bowl of water ya room."
Cassandra nodded and looked at Kensei. "I will return... I must feed." She then maneuvered passed him and left the inn.
Kyosuke:
Kensei nodded and took the key to their room. He didn't even want to take a bath just yet, he just wanted to get the eight hours of unconsciousness over with. He quickly strode up to the room and entered it, closing the door behind him but not locking it. He had the only copy of their key after all. However, he didn't trust the people in the inn and openned up his pocket dimension to store anything that could be stolen from him, mainly his magical armguards. Then he quickly climbed into bed and fell into a sleep of his warring blood.
Emora:
Cassandra sat on the roof of the highest building in Darkwood. She had no idea what purpose the building served, but she used it for her perch at the moment any way. Her excellent eye sight sought out a demon or criminal to which she could feed on. Her blood lust was so great that the urges almost had her spring down on an innocent baker.
She bit her bottom lip as the strong winds from being on such a high building tossed her blood red locks around her. Finally she spotted a rather normal looking demon. But, she was to hungry to care weather he led a good life or not. She waited until he was in the darkness and she dropped to the ground in front of him, landing gracefully.
He stopped dead in his tracks, but before he could run or scream she had ripped his throat open and begun her feasting. Her eyes flashed and widened as she tasted the sweetness of blood. She usually thought blood horrible... but it had been three days since drinking... And she was too hungry to care. When she was finished with him she let him go and he fell to the ground dead. She tilted her head, staring off into the crowed of people and licking the blood from her lips. She whipped her mouth to get the blood off her chin.
Cassandra didn't enter into the room she had with Kensei through the normal conventional way. She sort of hovered up to the window, since there room was facing a deserted street. She lifted the window and floated in, closing the window behind her once she had landed on her feet.
She saw Kensei lying on the bed and her mind began to wonder what he was dreaming. She crept closer to the bed, staring down at him with her yellow eyes. She couldn't since anything... as if his mind were blank. Maybe he just didn't dream...
Boredom and being totally exhausted set in and she walked to the empty bed and lied flat on her back, not even pulling the covers over her. She closed her eyes and with in seconds she was a sleep. She woke up a good seven and a half hours later to find it was still night outside. She remembered that someone once told her the Witch Queen spelled the Arken to have only three hours of daylight.
Cassandra made her way downstairs to the bathing room. She pumped water into the tub and the fire underneath heated it until the room filled with steam.
Kyosuke:
Kensei woke up as soon as he felt himself capable of doing so. He looked over and saw that Cassandra was no longer there, but there were signs of her having slept there for the night so he knew she had come back. He stretched a bit and walked out of his room, intending to take a bath in the bath house.
When he openned the door, a rush of steam came out and he shrugged, figuring that the innkeeper just kept the baths hot for his customers. He locked the door behind him and took off his clothing walking towards the bath. Something felt amiss with his chi sense, but he wasn't quite sure what it was.
Emora:
Cassandra was sitting close to the middle of the large square bath tub up to her chest in water steaming hot water. She heard the door open and could sense someone walking into the room. She looked up through the steam at Kensei standing in front of the bath. She tilted her head, her curling blood red hair cascading over her shoulders and strands in front of her face. She didn't even bother to cover herself up. She felt no shame. But, couldn't she at least finish her bath?
She looked Kensei up and down for a moment and then moved so if he chose to get in he could. But, she would finish her bath.
"Rested?" she asked moving to the side of the tub and taking the soap into her hand.
Kyosuke:
Kensei blinked, seeing the vampire taking a bath. The steam had previously covered her form. He realized that the off chi sense he felt was from the hole in space that the vampire made with her lack of chi. He wasn't very embarrased himself, and even if he was, the vampire had already seen him naked once anyway so a second time mattered very little.
"Yes," he responded. "It was a needed rest also." He didn't say much more than that. The bathtub was easily big enough for two people, and seeing that neither of them seemed to care, the halfling slipped into the bath facing the vampire. He sat with his back against the side of the tub and relaxed. The change from the cool outside air to the steaming hot water would have felt scalding to most people, but Kensei barely took note of it.
Emora:
Cassandra nodded began to wash herself with the soap, dipping her head back into the water and lathering it up with the soap. She dipped her head into the water backwards and washed the suds form her hair.
There was great silence after that. She sat the soap on the side of the bath tub and slipped into the water until it was just grazing passed her shoulders.
"My master would kill you for being in here with me," she said absent mindedly, but still with no emotion. She pulled her knees up until the just came above the surface. Though dead and emotionless there was an heir of innocence, probably because of the lack of care or emotion.
Kyosuke:
Kensei shrugged as he grabbed the soap and began to soap himself up. "Your master? Is that who you mentioned was following you before?" he asked. She hadn't given his identity when they were en route to Darkwood, but he guessed that her master was the person he was talking about. "If so, then staying in here will just hasten my fight with him."
Emora:
Cassandra looked at him with her yellow eyes, her head tilting slightly and a strand of deeper colored blood red hair fell in front of her face. "Yes..." she said as a thought came to her mind. "Most of anything relating to me with another man would hasten him. In his mind I am his alone and no one else’s. In fact. If you wanted him truly raving mad you'd have to sleep with me."
She acted like it was nothing, which to Cassandra it was. She felt nothing... well she tried to feel nothing. She had emotions, but tried her best to hide them.
"You do not seem the type that would do something like that... Just to bring on a fight. I would do anything to have him dead. The sooner he is dead the easier it will be for me to get what I want." She rose up, standing in the bath tub, the water running down her body as she walked towards the edge and up the steps out of the tub. She grabbed a large towel from a hook and draped it around her elegant body. Her long hair fell over her shoulders and down her back.
Kyosuke:
Kensei shrugged. "He'll come when he'll come," he said, soaking in the bath for a bit longer. 'I just hope he doesn't attack in my sleep, if he gets me when I first fell asleep then I won't be able to enjoy a fight,' the halfling thought. It most likely wasn't going to happen though. Most people waited until their target was in a deep sleep before they tried to pull anything after all, so they would probably wait longer.
Emora:
Cassandra dropped the towel on the floor and began to pull on her undergarments and her dress, taking her time. It wasn't like she had a short time to live. "Yes... He'll come when he comes. And it very well might be soon."
She turned to where she faced him once more, now fully clothed. She looked Kensei over, well what she coudl see. "Hmm..." She looked thoughtful for a moment and then turned to walk towards the door.
Kyosuke:
Kensei ignored the look that Cassandra gave him and continued to soak in the tub. After a few minutes longer, the halfling finished washing and stepped out of the tub, drying off and putting on his clothing. He also re-openned his pocket dimension and pulled out his armguards, slipping them back on. He walked out, looking for the vampire and ignoring the looks he got for leaving a bathhouse that a woman had left a few minutes prior.
Emora:
Cassandra sat in the corner of the bar part of the inn with her legs crossed, staring at the empty table. Where to go? Where should they look for a necromancer at in this town.
She felt someone sit down in front of her and she didn't even have to look up to tell who it was. "Go away."
"No."
Cassandra said nothing else, it was useless to say anything back. He never listened and she didn't feel like wasting energy on him.
She didn't flinch when his cold hand touched her cheek and cupped it in his palm. "Where is this halfing? I wish to meet him before I slay him."
"He'll come out when he wishes," Cassandra replied emotionlessly, turning her head away.
"You are annoying," he spat and sat back in his seat staring at her with a glare.
"I do my best," she replied evenly. She felt a sting on her cheek, but ignored it. The room grew quiet and she didn't even bother to look around. Cassandra only reached out and grabbed his hand that was posed in the air, turning it in a complete circle snapping all the bones. Her eyes flashed yellow and he grinned, gritting his teeth at his own pain.
"That's it, show those emotions you hate so much..."
Cassandra growled and shoved out of her chair. When she rose to her feet she could hear the snapping of his bones as he moved them back into place and it healed. She brought herself back to her state of calm.
Kyosuke:
Kensei walked into the bar as soon as a loud slapping noise was heard. He quickly but silently weaved through the crowd to get to the center of the bar's attention and saw Cassandra breaking the arm of a man. He saw her start to lose control of her supposedly non-existent emotions and growl. He took the time to approach the two as the man reset his arm. "Problem here?" he asked.
Emora:
Cassandra looked at Kensei, taking a deep breath and breathing it out. Across her pale face was a red mark on the left side. She didn't bother to look behind her. She could feel her master. She already knew he was smirking.
"Problem? No! Not at all! I was just conversing with dear Cassandra here," he said and grinned, standing up. He flexed his fixed wrist and replaced his arms by his sides, one hand on his rapier's hilt. "Why?"
Cassandra turned around slowly, glancing at Kensei and then her master. She turned and walked away, heading back up to there room.
Kyosuke:
Kensei shook his head. "Not really," he replied. "It was only that you seemed to have slapped her, and I'd think that a proper reason for that is necessary." Kensei took a guess that the man before him was this master he was talking about, seeing that from the conversation, he seemed to know her pretty well. He had a feeling that the man didn't have a very good reason to slap her, and if he didn't he wouldn't have enough respect for him to have a good fight against him.
Emora:
OOC: Once again I can't remember what I named her master.
IC: Cassandra opened the door to there room and walked in, closing it behind her. She walked to the window and looked out it wondering how long it would be before her master walked up those steps to the room she was in.
Vickrane looked at Kensei and smiled. "She was being disrespectful," he said and stepped towards Kensei. "Besides what business is it of yours?" Vickrane walked passed Kensei and up the steps towards the rooms.
Kyosuke:
"Well, I'd think it should be my business when one is hitting my travelling partner," he replied. His voice was just as level as before, not expressing any emotion behind it. "And being disrespectful shouldn't warrant a slap unless you're a child."
EMora:
Vickrane stopped at the top of the steps and laughed lightly, trying to dispell his annoyed feeling. "Well, in a way she is my child. I created her. She is mine to train and to do with what I please. And just because your her traveling partner gives you no say in any of it."
Vickrane went to the door that led to the room where he sinced her presence. He opened it up to not see her anywhere in the room, but he could sense her there. He walked into the room only to feel something painful slam into his back and send him towards a window. He turned around to find Cassandra had her sword drawn. "Go away."
"Cassandra... Now you really should watch what you do. I'll have to punish you for being so ignorant." He said, his eyes turning totally black.
Cassandra sheathed her sword. "I've grown emune to your threats," she said smoothly. "I do not fear them."
"Then why did you put your weapon away?"
Cassandra didn't have an answer to that. Maybe it was habit that she had done it.
Kyosuke:
Kensei followed the man up to his and Cassandra's room. He walked in as Vickrane was questioning Cassandra about putting her weapon away. "You know, when I said child, I meant a little child, maybe reaching a teen, not necessarily one's offspring," he said. The halfling walked past Cassandra's master and sat down on his bed.
Emora:
Cassandra's master growled. "You know, you are getting very annoying..." he spat and his head snapped towards Kensei. "So you both share a room?" It was as if his mood totally changed. He began to pace around the room. "Well, I'm glad to see two beds. I wouldn't want my mate sleeping with other men." He winked at Cassandra and turned towards the window.
"Of course Cassandra refuses to feel any emotion." He smiled at his reflection in the window. She whispered, "She's afriad of becoming a monster..." He grinned evilly looking at Kensei. "I bet you know all about monsters within.... I since something in you...."
Kyosuke:
Kensei shrugged. "I'm half demon," he replied. "That's what your sensing." The halfling didn't really care who knew. He was a one of a kind being, so it was doubtful that this vampire master would know about his hour of weakness while he slept.
Emora:
"Interesting.... and why don't you let that darker side of you out? Are you, like Cassandra, afriad of showing emotion because it might bring it out?" He was probing for information. A sign... weakness to this upcoming foe.
"I trust Cassandra not to sleep with you. So I really have no reason to dislike you do I? You only seem to be functioning on a professional basis. How like Cassandra," Vickrane said and smiled at Cassandra.
Kyosuke:
"There's really no point in letting it out," Kensei replied. "My only concern is to get stronger. Letting out the demon just means pointless killing. Just because you kill more people doesn't mean you get stronger." Kensei didn't really care what Vickrane said about him sleeping with Cassandra really.
Emora:
Vickrane laughed. "True! But, killing is so interesting. Right Cassandra?" He asked, but Cassandra seemed to be ignoring him. She was in thought.
Cassandra looked up at Vickrane and then walked towards Kensei sitting on his bed. "How's this for a professional basis," her tone was emotionless as she placed her cold hand on Kensei's cheek and pressed her ruby lips to his in a kiss that looked passionate, but had little to know feeling behind it.
She moved away from Kensei, her eyes sending a message that she was sorry. But, if she wanted Kensei to kill him she would have to get her master mad enough to attack him.
"Whore!" Her master spat even before Cassandra could turn fully around. He lifted her up by her neck and through her across the room, she landed rather gracefully on one knee. Vickrane stared at Kensei in anger.
Kyosuke:
Kensei didn't really respond to the kiss. However he felt a sense of outrage when Cassandra was thrown across the room. "Now what was that for?" he asked. "There was no real point of it." The halfling stood up and looked Vickrane in the eyes, still not showing emotion in his own.
Emora:
"The point? The point is she is mine. I am her master," Vickrane said and glared at Kensei. "Tell me... did you enjoy that?" If Kensei replied that he did... He would have to die. But, if Kensei replied that he didn't then Cassandra would have to try harder to get him to kill this insignificant halfling.
Cassandra rose to her feet and dusted herself off as if nothing really had happened. “I did,” she muttered only the half truth. She enjoyed angering him. Not the kiss.
Kyosuke:
Kensei thought about it for a moment. "It wasn't not enjoyable," he replied. That was the truth. Maybe if he hadn't been caught by surprise by the kiss he would have had time to enjoy it, but he hadn't been expecting it.
Emora:
Cassandra looked at Kensei for a moment, having expected that answer any way. She had an emotionless expression as her master smiled triumphantly. "You see, my dear, I knew it. He didn't enjoy it. You only did it to anger me. But, I'll get over it. Your still mine. I guess I'll see you around... maybe later on tonight?" He smirked and walked passed her towards the door, leaving quietly.
The room was silent, and Cassandra was unmoving. She was staring at the door as if lost in thought. "What must I do to get him killed," she said emotionlessly, walking to the window and looking out.
Kyosuke:
Kensei was slightly disappointed. He wanted to fight the guy, though he didn't really respect him. However, even if he didn't respect him, he could tell that Cassandra's master was a very strong opponent, one that he would enjoy fighting.
Emora:
Cassandra looked out the window. How could she talk him into doing it? Her master would surely attack Kensei if he did it... But, Kensei was like her in a way. He tried to keep his emotions from coming forward... Did this mean that he didn't really care about sex or things like that. But, then again he was male and most males did. Maybe it wouldn't be to hard.
"I'll make you a deal," she said evenly, turning towards him. "Sleep with me and I garentee he'll fight you. But on the condition of getting this fight for you... you must kill him. Unless of course this goes against your morals... I could find another way to get him pissed at you..." Its not that hard...
Kyosuke:
Kensei stared at the vampire he was rooming with. He thought about the offer and decided to decline it. "No thanks, I'm sure I can think of some other way to anger him," he assured her. "And as for killing him, I think I may do it because he violates my sense of justice."
Emora:
Cassandra nodded. It wasn't as if she was bothered by the fact he didn't want to. She could completly understand. She looked at him with her head tilted, her eyes sparkling in the candle light.
"Since of justice? What is your since of justice?" she asked interested. Many people had there own since of justice and she found it interesting to know his.
"He slaps his slave around and that goes against your since of justice?" she said emotionlessly. "It might be better not to sleep with you. I have no idea how it would effect me once I get my soul back and life back."
Kyosuke:
Kensei thought about it for a bit. "My sense of justice has to do with picking on those who can't or won't fight back. That's why I helped Kenji out back in Armara," he responded. "That's the gist of it. And even if you did sleep with me, unless you somehow got pregnant or wanted to stay with me I would not be obliged to interfere with your life."
Emora:
"I want you to kill him. I don't have the strength too. If I did I would have done it long ago." She walked towards the bed she slept on and sat on it looking at Kensei. "I'm sure you'll find some way to pick a fight. It won't be very hard."
She rose from her seat. "I'm going out to ask around for a necromancer... Would you like to come or do you have something else you need to do?"
