This is the sea that surrounds the continent called Heirot, the Slave Shop, Ongoreth, and borders the Uncharted or Outer Lands...

Laya paused, turning back to him. "I don't care whether you like me or not," Laya told him. "The feeling is quite mutual I assure you. And I won't regret talking to you in anyway, because you deserve it. You're mean and selfish and cruel. You hurt him, a creature that loved you. You don't deserve that love, or his devotion to you. You deserve to stay locked where you were."

Her brow furrowed on him. "Unless by some miracle you can change, which I doubt."

Erik's glare darkened. He reached for the glass she'd set beside him and threw it across the room at her. It missed and shattered on the stone hearth. In seconds, Adonis burst from his room. Telanis appeared simultaneously from the opposite doorway.

Telanis scanned the broken glass on the floor while Adonis kept a tense gaze on his soulmate. "Are you hurt?" Telanis asked her, his quiet voice holding the potential for fury.

"That bitch was harrassing me," Erik spat in response to Adonis's steady frown.

"Brother," Adonis said, "We're tying him up."

Laya jumped at the shatter of the glass, and then she glared at Erik. "I'm fine," she sighed softly, moving to kneel before the hearth. She took a rag and started mopping up the water, then slowly she started to pile the shards of glass together in the palm of her hand. She stood up, cradling the broken glass. Her eyes rose to meet Erik's and she shook her head.

She went to the wood barrel they used as a place to store trash and she dropped the slivers of glass in.

"I was getting water, and figured he was thirsty," she told them. "Maybe just tie one of his hands to the bed so he can't get away?"

Telanis nodded. "One hand should keep him still."

"You scheming traitor! You really intend to lock me up a second time? Traitor!!" Erik burst out.

Adonis just approached him unhappily and pinned him flat to the cot. "Rope."

Telanis glanced to Laya.

Laya thought for a moment before she turned for the door and went out into the freezing night air in bare feet and short gown.

When she returned, shivering, she had a thin old rope coiled in her hand. "Its a bit dry-rotted, but it should hold him," she chattered as she handed it over to Adonis, before slinking closer to the fire.

Her foot stepped on a shard of glass she'd missed, and with a hiss she plopped down on her rear to find the piece to pull it free. Laya curled her foot over into her lap, and examined it in the dim lighting.

Her skin felt cold in her hands, but that came with running barefoot in the snow.
