Catalina dragged herself off the beach, her clothes were damp and sand was stuck to them. Reaching into her bag she fumbled around looking for something. The sun was bright and it hurt hers eyes, she shut them trying to ignore the pain of her throbbing head. Her hand finally clasped around the object, pulling out half a bottle of whiskey she fumbled with shaking hands to get the cap free. Catalina needed a drink, the world was slowly starting to get hazy, if she had woken up any later she might have been sober. Pressing the bottle to her dry, cracked lips she took a huge gulp. The bottle was drained after a few seconds, throwing it to the ground she reached back into her bag. There was only one bottle left, she would have to find more very quickly. Catalina groaned as she heaved herself to her feet, the whiskey had sorted her head out and she could see clearly again for the moment. Quickly checking she had everything with her, she began the slow walk inland. It had been many years since she was last on dry land, it did not feel right, it seemed to move awkwardly beneath her feet.

After a few hours Catalina finally found a path, this must lead to somewhere. Catalina needed to get more alcohol, a sea worthy ship and some crew.

Meagan:

Alesi looked around. The street was empty except for one woman. She was wet and sand was stuck to her clothes.

I wonder if she would know where a pirate crew is so I can see if I can join them.

Alesi's black eyes glistened in the sunlight as she ran up to the stumbling woman who appeared only a few years older than she was.

"Do you know where I can join some kind of pirate crew. I need some adventure and danger. You wouldn't happen to know anything, would you?"

Little did she know that the woman who sttod before her was her ticket to freedom and the adventure she had been craving.
