Sakura:
Kidd walked into a place she use to call her home. Compared to Hepian, this place was one dirty filthy scumbucket.
She waltzed into one of the local inns. Kidd was somewhat detached. So much has happened in the past week, and she was still recovering from the shock and disappointment of it all. She ordered rum from the waitress, something she has been fearful to try until now. As the waitress placed in in front of her, Kidd just stared at it, debating wether to drink it or not.
The mug of rum sat in front of her undrunk as Kidd stared out the window of the bar. The ocean glittered like a goddess under the sun's light.
Kidd remembered when the sea was her only love. How it never left her, how it was there before her, and how it will always be there even after she was gone...
Emora:
A hooded figure walked into the inn and as soon as she had crossed the thresh hold she lowered her hood and looked around until she found the one she sought and took a seat in front of her.
She had met the woman recently to deliver her message from the Queen and had told her she would meet her in this... place to tell her where she could get her ship and such.
Allana was an older woman of around 40, but her face held no such hint to that age at all. "Hello, Kidd." She smiled a warm smile seeing that the younger one seemed to be lost in thought. "I'm afraid I can only stay a moment... I'm sure you remember what I told you in Hepian. Your ship is here and awaits its captain. I'm afraid it will be up to you to find a crew; I hope that's all right. You remember the orders that Sinead gave you in the letter?"
Sakura:
"Aye, I do" Kidd said. She was happy to find a familiar face. She met Allana in Hepian, where she first recieved her letter from her Queen. Kidd accepted her mission without even thinking, and now as she reads the letter over and over, she realized she bit off more than she could chew.
Nevertheless, Kidd is up for the challenge. People have even started calling her by her old pirate name, instead of her real name.
"Thank you for your kindness, Allana. I should be able to scrap up some deckhands in this place." Kidd smiled.
Emora:
"Good," Allana said and smiled as she pulled something out from under her cloak. It was a sack of gold coins. "I was told to give this to you..." She placed it on the table. "I must be going. The ship is waiting for you at the docks, it's called the Speed Demon. You can't miss it... believe me."
With that Allan said farewell and she left Kidd to do the job she had to do... Find a crew and stop Shea's rotten pirates....
((OOC: Hehe.... it's quiet funny since I'm Shea... and I'm sending you after my own people... hehe....))
Zenmusha:
Kenta had done it this time! He had taken the invitation of the other Wolves to dress as a Ninja and go spy on the Shogun as he accompanied that Maiden into the border... And had gotten himself lost in Ashgrown. After a few encounters with demons, goblins and mad shamans, he finally got out of the forest, more dead than alive... And at the wrong exit.
Before him, lay the city of Hepian. Hoping he could find someone to lend him a ride back home, he made his way there, and entered one of the many inns. He jumped up into a table, immediately gaining the attention of every one. "I am Hidemitsu Kenta, Nibu Wolf of Ongoreth! I require that one of you would be so kind as to lend me a ride back to Lowight." Every one lost interest...
Furious, Kenta drew his sword. "Either I get a good proposition, or I'll strike you all down!!!!" No one was impressed... "Hey kid... I got a good proposition." An untrusty looking man, dressed in a sailor's garb, spoke from behind him. "If ye can drink this whole bottle o'rum, me capn'll be giving you a ride back home."
Kenta immediately jumped out of the table, and slurped the rum... But since he wasn't used to drinking alcohol, guess what happened next... When he woke up, he was inside a strange ship... And his swords had been taken away...
Mizuki:
Neko, being quite anxious and being recruited to be aboard a ship and sail the sea's pratically ran around trying to find the ship in the docks.
"Oh my god! Where is the thing?!" she practically yelled. Neko wasn't used to being aboard ships and even telling one from the other but she wanted to be like her brother and she'd be damned if she failed! "For the love of Pete! Where is it?!"
"How about ya calm down and I'll show ya to the Speed Demon" said a big man. Neko was quite suspicious at first but seeing no other option, she followed him is this so called ship.
Sakura:
(OOC: Eh… I kindof hoped that more people would join. Oh well! Now its time to post!)
Kidd leaned on the rail of her ship, looking up to the rising sun.
She found four deckhands yesterday, which was barely enough to run a ship. She planned to stop at the slave shop halfway to find more workers. Kidd was well aware that slavery was against the law in Ighten, but its not like she’s buying them as slaves, only as workers.
“Sully!” Kidd called out to her first mate. “Wheres the rest of the crew! Were suppose to set sail!”
“Argh, Leadhead’ in cargo. Bad Burnt in cargo. Tiny out. Me hear, Captn! Argh” Sully responded. Kidd squinted for a moment to inturperate a language that had once been so fluent to her.
“Tiny’s off deck? Get him.”
“Aye Aye Captain!” Sully Bones was off. A big man with extrodinary navigation skills. Kidd sailed with Sully once, only he was probably too drunk to remember her.
Tiny came back with a woman, whom Kidd first thought was his whore. Tiny was hansome and like she, did not speak like a pirate.
“She wants to join.” Tiny said, flat and cold.
Kidd stared at the woman. She wasn’t one to discriminate against her own gender… but she truly wondered if this woman was strong. Brown hair… average build.
Kidd half-feared for her saftey. Woman plus pirate ship plus rum equals accident waiting to happen. The captain decided it was better to have at least one other woman on board.
“Whats your name?” Kidd asked, eyeing the young teenage stranger.
Emora:
Rose was sitting in a pile of ropes watching everything with a good bit of amusement, being totally invisible by her own choosing. The only thing any one would see would be a nice little butterfly sitting on a pile of ropes and nothing more. She was eating a few cookies that she had gotten from little Sally... they were really crumbs... but to Rose they were about the size of a cookie.
This should be interesting! Rose thought as she finished off her cookie and scratched Tiny's head. Tiny, which was odd because there just happened to be a pirate named Tiny, was a butterfly. She planned on making herself seen after a while, but wondered how they would react to seeing a fairy after so many people thought they were myths... well not so many people, but a few did.
Mizuki:
Neko knew this woman who was apparently the Captain was calculating her... and she didn't like it.
"Neko Tornakusu!" she half yelled, half stated like she was important. She felt proud to be Kratos' sister and wanted everyone to know who she was related to. But, they seemed unphased by her name. 'Gah! What?! Everyone should know Kratos in this God forsaken place!' she thought.
As Neko looked up again she became aggravated with this other womans look. "Hey! I can fight!" Neko brought out her staff as if to show it off. But no one was impressed, phased, or anything! Soon she gave up with her trying and practically begged. "Please please PLEASE!! Let me be in your crew! I gotta prove myself to this world that I can handle myself! I wanna help the Queen!"
Everyone seemed a bit baffled at her outburst but Neko didn't care as long as she got in.
OOC: ....I'll be taking awhile to respond in..every thread I'm in...I have to sneak on just to get here and all that nice stuff.
Sakura:
"Please please PLEASE!! Let me be in your crew! I gotta prove myself to this world that I can handle myself! I wanna help the Queen!"
'How does she know about the orders from the queen?' Kidd stared at the girl supiciously.
"I don't know why you're talking about the queen. But we sail under our own flag." She said, settling the questions of her crew. "I will let you sail with us. However you must obey me without question. You may refer to me as captain. You will help out on the decks...and no whinning either. You can start by helping us get ready to set sail....and since I didn't get a name, I guess I will refer to you as Jelly Wrists."
As soon as Sully returned, the crew set sail for the open seas....
Kidd went down into the cargo room, where Leadhead and Bad Burnt stared at a young stowaway.
The Captn looked down at the the boy and couldn't help but smirk. "Well well well...what do we have here?"
Mizuki:
"Jelly what?" Neko murmurred to herself in a daze as she boarded the ship. She was confused but found it useless to fight the captain fearing she might get thrown over board. 'Just keep your head and don't fight your supieriors Neko.' she thought to herself.
Zenmusha:
Kenta, who's hangover didn't prevent him from thinking logically, quickly added.. 1+1=Captured by pirates. His hands were tied up... But there was the usual splintered plank a few metres from him. He got up, using the dexterity develloped by long hours of training, and walked to the thing, trying to cut himself free... When the two men began to walk down to his "cell".
Quickly, he pretended to be still in alcoholic coma. They spoke with each other a while... And Kenta was more than a bit concerned about their references to his smooth skin and cute features...
Then, their captain joined them. Kenta decided to do something... So he got up all of a sudden, ran towards the nearest man... And bit his nose, while kicking the family jewells of the other. "I'mf Hifemitsf Kenthaf, fff thfe Nibu Wolvfsh!!"
Sakura:
Kidd laughed at the drunk. He obviously had no idea where he was, and he unskillfully attacked her crew members. They managed to pin him down to the side, and Kidd ordered them to stop before Leadhead punched the living crap out of him. She couldn't help but smirk at Bad Burnt, who was rocking in the corner in a man's pain.
"If this is what the Shogun has protecting him, then I fear for his life." Kidd laughed, not believeing the young man could be ranked so high. "Leadhead! Throw are friend 'Kenthaf' here in the brigg."
"Aye aye, cap'n!" The one-tooth sailor replied. Leadhead, an ugly looking man, was the cannon guy of the crew. Despite his dispicable appearance, he was most valuable.
She made her was back to the deck, along the way shoving a mopp at Jelly Wrists ordering her to swap the deck. She wanted to test the patience of this woman, for some reason.
"2 day ahead, ship." Sully replied. "Nrthweest." Kidd looked down. Two days should be enough. They could rob a ship, hopefully not a strong shop, but they do need to stop somewhere for more crew members...
Mizuki:
Neko grinded her teeth but kept her mouth clamped. Her brothers teachings kept ringing in her head. ' "Don't lose your temper and mind yourself." "Keep all rude marks of your superior to yourself..." ' Kratos had said that after having a fight with father. Father had been more learned in battle then Kratos and was teaching him and Kratos always had a few choice words for father.
'Jelly wrists....' Neko kept thinking. 'I'd like to show this captain I'm more then capable! Just got to give me different work.' Neko looked down at herself. So she wasn't in the best attire, but she was brought up to wear dresses and nothing more. And when she wanted to learn how to fight her loop hole wearing a skirt with her brothers old sparring gear. Mother wouldn't let her wear pants even in the house. But the past aside, Neko did think that maybe she should get some pants, but this was all she had.
Zenmusha:
Kenta couldn't believe what was happening... He had been captured, gotten himself drunk, and dishonored his family name and the Shogun. Not to mention the Nibu Wolves. During the seconds of struggle, he clenched his teeth as the pirate he had bitten prepared to punch him to death. Though the blows never came. Instead, came the scorn of a woman. I'd rather die than have to stand for this...
He was reluctanctly taken to the brigg, and thrown onto the dirty floor. "Not so tough now, are'ya?" The pirate Leadhead taunted. "No'one bites me nose an' gets away with it..." Kenta barely had time to crawl into a fetal position before the kick came. The blow hit his stomach, making his spit. Another to his face, busting his lip. Yet another, into his ribs. Another one to his face, making his delicate nose bleed. The pirate laughed and snorted, before spitting out the most revolting... mixture of bodilly fluids ever spat against his face. Kenta held back the tears that insisted in coming out. He'd kill them all... As soon as he got his swords back...
The pirate went back to his business, leaving a rather mistreated Kenta alone. Though in pain, he attempted to get back on his feet. He was dexterous, so it was easy for him. This time, he cut the ropes tying his wrists with no hesitation, using once again the omnipresent splintered board. He cut his own wrists in the process evey now and then, but...
Finally, he was in full possession of himself. His top priority was getting the swords back. Until then... He searched around... He'd have to make do with a rusty scimitar he found in an abandoned corner...
Emora:
Think of it like this," the little fairy said as she hovered by the boy's ear. She rested her small feet on his shoulder and looked at him for a moment. "There are more of them than you. Even a great Samurai knows when he is out numbered... a boy such as yourself has a good life a head of him. Don't waste it on idiot fools such as them..."
She smiled and sat down on the shoulder, she was still invisible to all of the adults, but the child could see her, he was still young, though he was barely young enough. "I however can help you, all you have to do is make a wish. That's what I do... grant wishes to children." She smiled and looked at the captain and her crew of brutes and idiots. "Whisper it, else, they'll think you crazy." Her grin was a pretty one and she waited for him to make his wish if he so chose.
Zenmusha:
Kenta was surprised when the fairy spoke to him. He gazed at her for a moment, before swallowing her words. He smiled sadly... "I can't let it go, even if it means my death... I'm a Nibu Wolf, the greatest kind of Samurai. Any Wolf would seize control of this ship single-handedly. If I can't do it, then my life's a waste..."
He smiled brighter then. "If you can grant wishes, then please give me my swords. With them, I'll be able to fight them off. Please obey my wish, it is very important to me."
Emora:
Rose nodded solemnly and looked at the boy for a moment. "If that is your wish.... then it is my command," she said and smiled. She put a hand in her pocket and pulled it out. Holding her palm out before her she blew on her hand and fairy dust scattered out. In mid air his sword appeared for him to take, and he would have to do it quick or some one was bound to notice. "Good, luck."
With that, Rose lifted off his shoulder and fluttered back to her seat on the top of the ropes.
Zenmusha:
He grabbed his sword quickly. "Thank you, miss... Erm, forgive me, I don't know your name. I'm Hidemitsu Kenta. When this is over, I... I promise to protect you for the rest of my life! That is, if the Shogun let's me..."
He gave the fairy one last smile, and ran to the deck. There stood Leadhead. Kenta's smile twisted to one of glee. "You'll die for having insulted me..." He ran towards the man, and before he could swing his blade, Kenta had drawn his sword, sweeping his torso diagonally. The pirate paralyzed for a moment, before his blood gushed outfrom the wound, and he fell dead on the floor. En garde, Kenta looked around at the mob of pirates that encircled him. "You'll either surrender to me... OR DIE!!" He drew the Wakizachi, and tumbled and parried through their blows, hacking indiscriminately at them, killing and maiming.
Mizuki:
Neko heard the commotion and when she saw it. "Oh come on!..." she practically yelled. 'This pirate crew... the guy's ripping thru them like nothing.' she thought smirking. But then she realized she was part of this crew now... he may come after her. "Crap.." she held her staff tighter in her hands getting ready for any attack that might come.
"Maybe if I stay waaay in the back..." Neko wanted to get in no fights, espeically with this kid. 'He'd probably kill me, I have to admit I'm not that good..' she thought sadly thinking she let down her great brother. She looked to her captain and wondered what action she'd take against this battle that kept on.
CRASH! One of the pirates who stupidly fought this boy came flying her way. Neko jumped and knocked the already unconcious pirate on the head with her staff.
"I'm such a coward!" she yelled at herself. She thought her options and came to the conclusion that there would be no point if she died or was alive. She seemed the most incompetent of the crew and if she died they'd probably throw her corspe overboard without another thought. She sighed a regretful sigh and slowly went closer to the fight to get a better view.
Sakura:
The door slammed opened, only for Kidd to find one of her crew flying right towards her. She stepped aside to avoid injury. She found the drunk, who seemed no longer drunk, with his sword drawn hacking and slashing with no discrimination.
Infuriated, Kidd drew her gun. Although it was know that pistols are crappy and that a bow would be much more useful, it was a distance weapon, and it was enough to threaten.
"You! Now stop this!" Kidd shouted to the Nibu Wolf. "Kill my crew, you kill yourself. We are out in the middle of the sea, do you honestly think you can sail this ship alone?" She stared at the youth for a minute. His strength and skill were worth noting, although his way of doing things are not so hot. But still... "If you wish, I will allow you to sail with us as crew, instead of a prisoner. What say you?" She kept her cutlasses at bay, just in case if the young samurai chooses to revolt, or in her eyes, chooses death.
Zenmusha:
Kenta was beginning to feel euphoric from all the killing and maiming he inflicted on the crew. In fact... He was downright enjoying it. With each kill, his fury grew, and he was covered in blood by the time the Captain waved her gun at him. He grinned like a demon, and impalled a pirate with his katana, using him as a shield as he sprinted towards the Captain.
With one strong push, he managed to throw the man at her. While she was struggling under the man, he undid her gun with a thrust from his blade. "If I join you... What will I gain?" There was an unnatural look about him... It wasn't his usual aimable expression. In fact, he seemed possessed. "Who do you prey on, pirate...?"
Mizuki:
"Ok that's...it.." Neko finally got control of herself. Now the boy was threatening her captain! "I'm not letting this go." She ran up to the boy as fast as she could and rammed her staff into his back.
She felt the adrenaline[sp?] rush through her veins as she watched the boy temporarily crumple on the ground and she kicked the pirate off her captain and helped her up. Maybe not the smartest thing to do after striking an enemy, but she wasn't even thinking clear right now. Fighting and now she was involved!
'Good job NEko! Now we're going to die!' her subconcious was yelling at her.
'How can we die? I just helped my captain.' she thought agruing with her brain.
Emora:
"It figures... when I try to do something good for some one they turn it into a murder spree... Well... looks like it's up to me..." Rose flew invisibly towards the kid and landed right in between the group of living pirates and the boy surrounded by the dead. The spun in a circle quickly and in a second was grown to the full height of a human being.
Rose was changed in a way to. This was Rose's human form. Though, she did not look completely human, for she was in her fairy clothes and still had a beautiful wings, it was just the fact she was the size of a human. She blew fairy dust all around her and then yell, "Stop!" The fairy dust would cause every one to freeze in there spots. "Thank you."
She looked around at them. She was very pretty in a cute and innocent looking way. "Now... that's better."
Sakura:
Kidd didn't know what to make of all this. First, the samurai on the brink of insanity, and now a fairy A fairy. All she could do was give a dumbfounded stare.
In her perferal vision she saw Neko, standing proudly. Kidd knew she hadn't made the mistake of keeping her on board. She gave a silent thanks to Jelly Wrists, and then continued to try to make sense of what happened.
"Um...fairy, uh," That was it. Kidd was lost for words. She never believed in fairies, and for one to appear in human size out of the blue was incredible. But the fairy, along with Neko, appeared to calm down the drunk Nibu. How come it seemed only the women were useful on this ship?
A peaceful quite silence was interrupted by a loud BOOM and the sharp rocking of the ship. Everyone was thrown against west wall, all piling on top of one another.
Sully came down to the cargo, where he found the crew piled up. "Arg! We be attack!" he said. Kidd, whose back was being crushed by several of her mates, immediatly began to bark out orders.
"Everyone! To the deck! Leadhead- thats right, we don't have a cannonman anymore," she gave a sharp hateful stare to Kenta. She lugged whoever was on top of her off of her back and sprinted up to the deck.
The ocean was hazy that day, but the flag the blew on the offensive ship could be seen no matter how misty it was.
"Not you... anybody but you." Her voice quivered at the sight of an all too familiar ship. Kidd's crew was cut short, so this fight will be even harder...
It they lose, it could very well be the end of their adventure, and thier lives.
Mizuki:
"AAAIIIEE!" Neko yelled as the crashing came down upon them.
"What's happening?!" she cried to her captain. Captain Kidd looked afriad of the ship that was coming their way. Neko gulped. "Captain, what is that?" she asked trying to keep the fear from her shaky voice.
Zenmusha:
The fairy had successfully calmed down the blood-crazed Kenta. He was getting back to his sense when he noticed what he had done. His hands were shaking, and he couldn't believe he had dispatched those many pirates.
He looked around in confusion, and noticed the ship ahead. The cannonfire awoke him from his state of revelry. He snapped out, and looked around. He had to do something. The only thing he might be halfways good at was as part of the boarding party...
Sakura:
"His name is Black Stache. ...Ok, I know his name is hard to take seriously, but he is a dangerous man. Even though two may not seem like a lot of people, it is to a crew, and now we are in a very vaunerable position. Aye, Black will sell us to the slave market if he does not feel like killing us." Kidd looked out at the ship. It was already apparent that the enemy ship had spotted them, and thier ship could not outrace theres...
(OOC: Writers block. Will revise later.)
Mizuki:
Neko watched as the ship of Black Stache came towards them. She tried very hard not to tremble and clutched her staff. She tried to look on the bright side. This would be her first ever battle with pirates! And she could try and prove herself in battle. 'Yeah, there's an idea...' she thought. She began to smile at the thought of battling pirates and winning.
Little did she know who was on that ship...
