Re: End Game
Tenele clutched herself to him, holding his shoulder with one hand and his arm down against the bed with the other. She couldn't stop, but at the moment she wasn't even thinking. She was losing track of time. How many seconds had it been? Not long, she felt it was not long. She told herself she could take more, for it had only been a second. She could only think about this wonderful feeling, this perfect extacy, and the glorious taste.
She couldn't bring herself to stop.
She couldn't bring herself to stop.

Re: End Game
Vlad cried out as her mouth took away the last of his reserve, at about the same moment that he began feeling lightheaded. Even though he was done, his body wanted her to keep going, but his brain began to protest as his vision grew spotty. "Tenele," he sighed, touching the top of her head to get her attention.

Re: End Game
Tenele thought she heard someone call her name, but it could have been her imagination. She kept drinking, unable to stop herself. Her battle of wills had gone completely out the window, and she just kept telling herself it had only been a second or two, and wasn't hurting anything. She clutched his arm and shoulder a bit tighter, not even noticing she was doing that. Soon, the only thing she could concentrate on was the taste of blood in her mouth, and how she wanted more.

Re: End Game
Vlad closed his eyes as she didn't seem to hear him. The pleasure of her bite was more muted now, and he knew it wasn't because it had become any less incredible. He just wasn't feeling things as well, which meant this had to stop. "Tenele," he called out to her again. When he tried a third time, he wound up coughing. He tried pushing her off, just for kicks, but his arm just shook under the effort. Perhaps if he'd tried that first, his efforts would have been noticeable. Vlad rolled his eyes upward and walked his hand up to the pillow, searching for the amulet. He finally felt his fingers come up against it, and he pulled it out into the open air just above his shoulder, fairly sure that the sight of it and its presence would be enough to jolt her out of it.

Re: End Game
Tenele shifted in aggitation, hugging him a bit tighter. Something uncomfortable was is in the air. At first she ignored it, continuing to taste that sweet blood. She couldn't stop herself, it was too good. Of course she couldn't stop. She hadn't the will power to make her stop now. Not after that. Not after feeling something so wonderful, and she wanted more.
She hadn't Vlad's ability to stop. She hadn't his centuries of practice.
Vlad, her mind suddenly came back to the realization that he was the one she was biting. Panic filled her, and she noticed the irritating presence in the air. Her eyes, a glow with crimson light, flew open and she sat up quickly in a strange arch to throw herself away from him, heading dangerously close to the amulet.

Re: End Game
Vlad still had enough reflexes left to tug his hand out of the way as she moved toward the amulet. He actually threw the item backwards, where it bounced off the wall and fell to the floor. But it had done its part; she'd let go. He looked up at her, seeing the panic in her eyes. "It's fine," he soothed, reaching up with a shaking hand to touch her cheek. He gave her a reassuring look that he was okay. "Good job."

She couldn't make the panic go away. His neck was bleeding, and she could still taste his blood in her mouth. She wiped her lips with the back of her hand, and gazed worriedly at him.
"Good job?" she asked, and punched his shoulder just a bit too hard.
"I could have killed you!" she hissed, collapsing onto his chest, trying to squirm her arms around his waist and hold him. His heart wasn't beat as fast now.
"Vlad... are you okay? Tell me the truth. I didn't take to much did I? I'll get a doctor. I'm sorry," her mind was spinning out of control. "You ass!" She sat up. "I told you to use that thing against me if I did this! Not just twirl it around in the air." She felt like punching him again, but the mark the last one left behind proved it was a bad idea.

"You won't kill me," Vlad said calmly, shaking his head against the pillow. Again, like before, he sounded absolutely certain. "And you didn't take too much. I'm fine, better than fine," he said, albeit somewhat drowsily.

Re: End Game
She wanted to believe him, but she was worried that he was lying. She wanted to clean the blood from his neck, but decided against it. It was too risky. So, she just reached down and drew the covers up over them both, resting her head on his chest.
"Okay," she sighed, mostly relieved that she hadn't killed him.
But, Vlad was wrong.
She could kill him. It was very possible, and she finally realized why had gotten so mad at her for not using that pendant. He could have killed her...
Just like, now, she could kill him.
She snuggled closer to him, and said what she told him most of every night, though usually she only got a simple sort of "dito" in return. Her hand trailed up and down his side, her thoughts trailing away for a moment. "Vlad..." she said softly. "I love you." And I don't want to hurt you, she thought afterwards.

Re: End Game
Vlad turned his body on his side toward her and did what he could to press in closer against her body, draping his arm over her. "I love you, Tenele," he whispered into her hair, drowsiness flooding into his voice. "I'm sorry...If I didn't let you mute my pulse, I wouldn't be able to sleep...like this...with..." his voice faded off, and his pulse and breathing faded into the soft, even rhythm of sleep.

Re: End Game
Tenele listened to his even breathing, and pressed herself closer to his warm body. "Maybe I should almost kill you more often," she muttered, his body hiding her smirk. "Just to hear you say those words." Though, she didn't need to hear them all the time, and she understood that Vlad was a person who found it hard to express himself. It was still nice to hear him say it every once and a while.
She was comfrotable, full, and content. So it wasn't long before she too fell a sleep.

Re: End Game
Vlad didn't even dream; his body pulled him into a much needed rest. He fidgeted slightly in his sleep, shifting against the pillow. It was normal sleep behavior, but for Vlad, who normally lay still as a corpse, it was a lot of moving and breathing. As dawn began approaching, his movements seemed to become more restless, like something was irritating him.

Re: End Game
Tenele finally woke, having not moved once since she passed out. She opened her eyes, sitting up and noting the smell of dried blood in the air. She glanced at Vlad as he tossed over onto his side, his neck exposed to reveal the deep bruise and fange marks. "Your going to have fun hiding that..." she sighed, brushing her cold hand across his face.
She tilted her head at the look of her pale white hand against his fairly tan skin. The contrast was undeniable, and she had never paid much attention to the difference until now.
"Dear," she whispered softly to him, bending and brushing her cool lips against his so softly it would tickle. "Wake up."
The sunlight was poring in from the window and shinning down in a warm beam onto them. It made her appear slightly less colder than she had been last night, since she had been lying in that sunlight for a while.

Re: End Game
Vlad's eyebrows twitched faintly at Tenele's soft touch. He barely woke up enough to make a small, dismissive grunt and push his face deeper into the pillow.

Re: End Game
Tenele laughed softly. "Silly, don't make me bite you again." She poked his side as genlty as she could, ran her fingers so lightly up and down his skin that it would surely send goose bumps across him.
"Something wrong?" she asked him, kissing his shoulder. She drug her teeth across his skin, and knew that this was dangerous at the moment, because she was feeling rather thirsty.
The memory of that delicious blood was still trapped in her head, and she longed to have more of it.
