LORE: End Game (MATURE)

The Capital of Ighten. Thought to be the richest and most pure city in the world. Sadly, there are things in Ighten that are not rich and pure... Corruption has taken a very strong hold here as war brews...

Tenele scowled at him, but her lips curled into a smirk. "Like always, flirting with danger, except this time quite litterally." She returned his kiss, though slowly at first. It became more needful, and whether it was because he tasted so good to her, or because she just wanted him to kiss her that badly, it was unclear.

The sound of heavy feet were thudding towards the door, moving to quickly for her liking. It was more than one, three. How she knew that, she couldn't tell.

They pounded on the door. "My Lady, we were alerted to the fact that there has been commotion down here. We heard you were screaming at someone. Is everything alright?"

She gripped the edge of her skirt, unable to truely find an answer now that she had the other heart beats so close. All warm. Could she actually be that hungry? Still?

"Its fine..."

The soldier on the other side of the door tried to open it, but she had locked it moments ago before all of this. "My Lady, please open the door so that we may check for ourselves."

Tenele turned a paniced stair to Vlad.

Vlad looked from Tenele to the door, appearing relatively calm. "I'll go. Stay," he told her quietly. He went to the door without turning his back on her, careful not to move fast enough to let her rampaging instincts think he was running away. Running away was very, very bad.

He turned the lock and opened the door halfway, standing in the men's view. "Maiden Tenele is not dressed for your eyes. There was a mouse in our toilet, and it startled her. She thanks your for your concern," he said stiffly, moving to shut the door in their faces. It was too risky have so many people near her at once. The Hunger of a new vampire was not rational. No matter how deeply it was sated, it took time to calm down.

Tenele could hear there mumbling, though it wasn't mumbling at all in her ears. She could hear what they wanted, that they would feel better checking the room. They were going to come in either way...

Tenele stood up quickly and began to undress, at least to the point where she was nearly naked and she grabbed the sheet from off the bed. She wrapped it around her form and took a seat on the mattress with her back to them. Her back was visible enough to tell that she was without clothing, but her silver hair dangled down her back.

As Vlad was closing the door with such human pace the soldier stuck his foot inside. "I'm afraid we still need to have a look," his tone was dis believing. Tenele, A Queen's Maiden, afraid of a mouse in her toilet? He had heard tales of both the lover's adventures and could not for a single moment believe that a mouse would frighten either of them.

He then pushed hard on the door with his hand, knocking it clear open. The wave of wonderful sent filled the room, of not just Vlad's blood, but anyone outside that door. Tenele gasped, digging her nails into the bed, going clean through the sheet and into the mattress.

The soldier's eyes widened. "Oh, Lady Raider, I beg you forgiveness," the soldier muttered quickly, bowing his head and stepping out of the room, moving to close the door quickly so not to prolong a nobles exposure to unbefitting eyes.

The door was almost closed when she whirled around on the bed, eyes a flame with desire and the first thing her eyes locked on was Vlad. She rushed forward, for what she wanted was also on the other side of that door. Her will power was strong enough to see Vlad's face, but she cared little for the life of the soldier.

Vlad was shocked at how easy it was for his body to be pushed to the side, but he was not scrawny by any definition of the word. Angry now as he saw Tenele flying toward them, he shouted "Out, you idiots!" and shoved the men roughly out to the hall. Slamming the door behind him, he spun to face Tenele. He raised his arms up and prepared to do his best to fend her off.

Tenele leaped and her body collided with another. She was on the floor with him, her body wrapped in the blanket, pinning the form bellow down easily. She didn't even pay attention to who it was, only the lovely sound that was driving her mad.

She put her hands in his hair and she found his throat, biting down on the side of his neck. Her fanges sank into his skin so easily it shocked her, and the warm blood flooded into her mouth. Her eyes glanced over and she saw Vlad's face...

Vlad...

Gods, no. She was going to kill him. The scene seemed all too familiar to her... Like a reliving of some nightmare. Whether it was seeing it from Vlad's point of view the day they arrived in Lowight after he rescued her from Arken, or the night Lothos saw fit to still her life. This was eerily familiar and she knew just how it would end if she kept going...

But, she just couldn't stop.

There was nothing he could to stop her as he felt himself thrown to the floor. Her familiar weight was on top of him, and he didn't have much time to think about what would happen next, though he knew somehow. His body went rigid as her teeth sank into his neck, and he groaned. It was the work of a novice; there was no magic in it, but his own mind was such that he couldn't help but be aroused. He knew he shouldn't be. He knew the sex was just as bad as fear, and he couldn't afford to encourage her. Shuddering, he gasped again. There was just no helping it.

He knew he couldn't muscle out of her grip, and stopping mid-meal was like a small miracle of willpower. It made him slightly tempted to lie back and enjoy the ride, but he had more confidence in Tenele than that. She was not an average human, and she would not be an average vampire. He reached his hand up to cup the back of her head. Gently, he ran his fingers through her hair. "That's enough. It's enough," he said calmly but firmly in a slightly strangled voice, petting the back of her head like a child. "Think. Don't let it control you."

Tenele felt his hand on the back of her head, heard his voice in her ears. She stared at his neck, at the side of his face. Her body wanted more. Her mind wanted more, but her heart was screaming no. If she went any further she'd kill him. Wouldn't she?

Tenele clenched her eyes shut and pulled her teeth from him. It was more gently than the way she had entered, and when she was safely out of his neck she sat up abruptly. Her eyes were wild, a creature that surely needed taming. She took several breaths, though she didn't really need them. Force of habit. She was shuddering with just the effort of holding back, and her fingers touched her red wet lips.

"Oh gods... I'm sorry. I- I don't know what came over me. Are you okay? Please be okay..." She worriedly searched him over with her eyes, afraid to even budge. She pulled her fingers away from her bloody lips and looked down at them. Vlad's blood. On her lips. In her mouth. And it tasted so sweet.

"Better than okay, but we have...have to stop," Vlad said dizzily, pulling himself up against the wall and leaning into it heavily. He turned his neck so she wouldn't be able to see the blood, reaching up with his hand to press on the wound. He'd only been alive five minutes and he was already finding it a hassle.

He looked up at Tenele, and knew she must be suffering. Kind, gentle Tenele with blood smeared across her face. He would have told her of a magic solution, something to think about that always worked to kill the hunger, but there just wasn't. "It only lasts a few hours," he mumbled through surprisingly uncooperative lips, wanting to comfort her. He felt tired. That was novel.

Tenele crept back to the corner on the other side of the room away from him. She sat huddled there with the white sheet wrapped losely around her. It had been to make the guards assume that Vlad had been telling the truth, she hadn't counted on being confronted with that inner hungry demon so fast.

She licked the blood from her lips and wiped her hand on the blanket, smearing a red line across the soft fabric. Her crimson gaze watched him, so very different from the piercing green.

"A few hours..." She could hold out that long, in fact, she already felt infinitely better now that her brain had gotten what it desired. She had gotten to taste the blood it had been craving and for the moment it was sated. For the moment.

"I'm sorry, you said 'better than okay'. Did you enjoy that?" She arched an eyebrow, not knowing whether to be horrified or satisfied with herself.

Vlad's lips rose in a tired, but playful smile. "I can't say it was traumatic," he confirmed coyly. "It's a shame this body can't keep up."

Tenele tilted her head, not really use to seeing Vlad tire so easily, but she clearly recognised the signs. She stood up, unbuckling the suitcase and pulling on of her long silk robs from it. She wrapped it around her form and tied the sash around her slip waist. Then she pulled the thicker cover from the bed and carried it over to him. She sat down next to him, on the side opposite his bloodied neck, and pulled the blanket over them both.

Her cool body leaned in against him and she snuggled like that underneath the covers. She wasn't tired in the least, but she did enjoy being close to him and comfortable.

"Do you think they saw me? Or just were so startled by my near nudity that they didn't even pay attention?" she asked, not really knowing if Vlad was fading out of consciousness or not.

Vlad shook his head, somehow offended by the prospect that his body could need sleep this badly. "If I had to take a guess, I'd predict they deduced that Maiden Tenele is ovulating," he said with a smirk. He felt too hot for the blanket, but didn't fuss with it. "Something had to cause this..." Then, like a rock had just hit him in the head, he glanced at Tenele. "When the mages where performing that rite in the castle, did anything strange happen before I came in?"

Tenele thought for a moment. "Nothing, besides the fact you were late. They decided to make the spell for one person, since you weren't there. They planned on putting you through the spell later. Then, you showed up in the-" She narrowed her eyes. "I should have guessed something was wrong when they kept asking me if I felt alright afterwards. Damn! They could have warned something like this was going to happen...."

She glanced at him. "Do you think its permanent." She appeared rather horrified, but mostly because she didn't want to be this insane for the rest of her eternity.

Vlad propped his chin on his knuckles and thought. "No, it can't be permanent. At least I'm fairly sure," he said. "The question is whether there's a way to fix it without those mages, because we're going to be away from the nest for a while." He drew a deep breath, taking in her scent. It was different, but pleasant. Oddly not appetizing, at least not in the way he was accustomed to. Come to think of it, most of his senses felt numbed down. It was like someone had stuck wax plugs in his ears. He suddenly looked at her, sitting up straighter. "What else can you do?" he asked her, the spark of curiosity growing like a flame in his hazel eyes.

Tenele looked at him and blinked. "I don't know..." She was rather new to the vampire thing, and she wasn't even sure of all the things Vlad could do. She had no idea how to work any of his abilities. The only thing she was certain of was biting people seemed to be very useful and decisious.

"Why don't you tell me what I can do, you're the one who knows how to be a vampire." She grinned at him, poking him a bit too hard in the side. She still wasn't used to her own strength.
