Forum Upgrade Progress

Hello everyone. As you have probably noticed, the forum looks a bit different. This is because we have just upgraded to the most current version of the software that powers this forum, phpbb. The new version includes many administrative tools that our old forum lacked, particularly a strong filtering system for bot registrations. Unfortunately, the visual layout of our old forum is not compatible with this new software. I've installed a template that is at least related to Heirot's subject matter, but it does not need to be permanent. If anyone finds a template they would like me to install (it must be phpbb3 compatible, NOT phpbb2), just send me a link. Also, I'd like to hear any feedback you have on the "Dark Fantasy" theme that's currently installed. I'll make updates in this thread over the next few days as we begin reinstalling the features you are all used to, such as the "most recently updated thread" links on the index page and a quick reply box.

Well, I've been fiddling around with some mods. I managed to get a quick reply box working, but as of right now, it only works for the default style (which is boring). Anyhoo, until I can get help editing the modified style files, I'm going to switch things to the SubSilver theme temporarily so that we can 'practice' on this quick reply mod and make sure it works the way we want. Please feel free to 'play with buttons'. If anyone notices a bug, please report it to me in this thread. Thanks!

Last post topic for each forum now listed on index page for Subsilver theme only. When we choose a permanent theme to go with, I will customize these mods to work for that theme.
