GAH!!!

Post by Emora Deen »

I work at Hobby Lobby...

Tonight I closed. I was the first one to clock out, but something told me not to leave the store until everyone else got up there with me and walked out with me so I wouldn’t walk out alone. Well, two girls that a work with came to the front and they were walking out so I decided to walk out with them. Well, I was parked right in front of this one girl’s car. I got in my car and locked the doors and cranked it. Then I heard her screaming. She slammed the door and screamed all the way to my car. I rolled down the window and she screamed, “Let me in! Let me in!”

She got in my car and I locked the door. She said over and over, “There’s a man in my car! There’s a man in my car!”

We watched and he crawled out the passenger side window and into the car next to him. About that time the two guys that were closing with us came out and I rolled down the window and screamed, “Get his tag number!”

He took off, spinning his tires since the ground was wet from rain. The two guys ran after him, but he got up to 70 so fast they couldn’t chase him. I watched the car while the guys were running back to their trucks. The car flew across the parking lot. I have no idea what he was looking at that distracted him... But, he rammed into a 6 foot cement pole with a handicap sign above it.

It ripped the front end apart. It is amazing that the guy even was alive. However, he got out of the car and took off running. As soon as he wrecked his car I started laughing. It was just... I guess ironic. The guys that I work with chased after him in their turns and followed him down an alley behind the Wal-Mart that is a few stores over. We got out of the car and ran into the store. The girl that had gotten in my car thought there had been another person in the car. We only saw one person get out of the car. So I decided to make sure no one was still in the car hurt. While she was calling the cops and the other three people I worked with ran out and followed. There wasn’t anyone else in the car.

We waited around and the cops showed up and I and the girl that had gotten in the car with me had to answer questions. The two guys that had followed the criminal came back and told the cops what they had seen. After answering the questions a while late they showed up with this guy. He had stripped down to his boxers. We had to ID him... it was the guy.

I just keep thinking about how he could have easily been in my car. Mine was parked right in front of hers. Though, hers had a 1000 dollar radio in it and TV’s in the headrest.

What an interesting night in Mobile, Alabama. This is just a brief overview of course!

Christ monkeys Emora! I don't like you're town! >_<

Obviously he didn't want the radio, otherwise he probably would've been already gone before you guys got to your cars. Which means he wanted the girl, thank god you all went out together, she could've easily been abducted. -shudder-

As soon as you can, move to a safer city girl. Or State entirely, like New Jersey! ^_^

It's a blessing you're all okay. :)

That's amazing! Good job scaring him into crashing his car and chasing after him. I'm glad you weren't hurt.

Although I checked online about crime rates in different cities. Seems like all major cities have the same crime rates, at least all the ones I checked. Atlanta, Philadelphia, Wilmington, Trenton all have the same crime rates as Mobile. New York's lower, but then New York's really cleaned itself up since the old days.

You can move to my city. =P If you want a lower crime rate, north of the border is the place to be! I mean, sure, we have gangs (like Crips, Bloods, Hell's Angels) but they're like, gang-lite. Diet Gangs. Even the HAs are pretty quiet.

The HA and another MC club, Rock Machine, were in a bit of a snit a few years ago, but that was mostly in Montreal, and they only blew up or shot each other. =)

Seriously though - I feel perfectly safe walking the streets at night here. My city has it's rough areas like anywhere, but overall, it's as safe as you could want.
