Lore: The Fall of the Border's Defenses

This is the Border that most of the people in Arken want to cross. People in Ighten are not allowed to cross it unless under orders by the Queen herself. The mountain is always covered in snow.

Sakura:

She could not see it, but she felt the end of the evil kingdom. It was almost like a neutral atmosphere, the balance between good and evil. She loathed this feeling, and she will probably hate the feeling of Ighten more.

"Earon," she said, "The sun will rise within an hour. The wall where the soldiers stand is five miles away." She could here behind her the troops scurrying around to get ready. She hoped Earon was standing behind her, since she was not using her majikku at the moment to sense the people around her. "Do you remember the plan?"

Emora:

Events Happening Before Praxis's Arrival-

Shea appeared before the two looking at them for a moment. "I will give the order for the army to attack when I choose to. I do not want my army going passed the Border at all... When you have begun the attack I would want the two of you to leave for Hepian where what I want can be found. know this, if you pass a group with a child with them, do your best to get the child, kill the others. If this is not possible go after Chirona. Kill any one with her, they are of no use to me."

Shea turned to the general she had met earlier and had become quite... acquainted with him. "As soon as you have killed those on the Border pull out and head back into Darkwood. I have some help for you... Make sure this goes to plan."

Shea turned back to her two loyal followers. "You may proceed." Mist formed around her and a purple light came from behind, sucking her in.

Eslin:

Marlax sat around the fire with his comrades. He hated this awful place. He'd been here for too long. He gazed carefully through dark brown eyes at his fellow soilders. He doubted they knew what he planed. They were stupid and young. All they ever cared about was drowning their sorrows with what ever they could find.

Everyone around the fire was doing just that except for the ones who would have sentry duty tonight. The officer over the defenses at the boarder was in his heated room already, doubtlessly planing a way to get him away from the boarder and to a warmer place.

He had planed everything well, and everything was ready. He was so sure his plan wouldn’t fail. He just didn't know when he would put his plan into action. He didn't feel like tonight would be a good night. It just didn't feel like it. He felt he'd konw when the time came.

He didn’t care what they called him after he was done. He was tired and getting older each day.
His dark brown hair seemed to have a new gray hair everyday. Some of the younger ones jested about it when they were intoxicated. He didn’t think he could listen to it any longer without trying to hurt one of them.

Sakura:

"If you wish, my Queen." Motoku had said, even though she was well aware of the fact the her Queen had left the premises.

Motoku has heard the Queen talk about some child with the power of releasing a demon, which releases hell. She had the feeling she wouldn't be running into this child, nor did she had no desire to capture the runt and take care of it. Motoku focused more on her original orders.

"It is time, Earon. It is time to attack." Motoku closed her eyes, focusing on her majikku. "Mist Hikaku!" Motoku chanted, as a mist flew out from behind her. It was almost impossible to see through.

The soldiers at the border could not explain the fog that had just set upon them.

She turned to Earon. "We will stay until we make sure the troops have the border obliterated, or at least under thier control. When they do, we will make a break for the other side, along with some other groups of soldiers. The remaining ones will stay behind, just incase we need reinforcements.

Motoku stood in front of her troops. She pointed and shouted, "Attack."

Eslin:

Marlax stared at the fog that had suddenly appeared. Fog didn't appear that quickly. It was strange, but he felt as if his death waited for him in the fog. It might be a good night to leave after all.

Everyone seemed to be uneasy at the fog. In fact, they border on hysteria. The fog was thick. He could barely see through it at all. They wouldn't be focused on him. Everyone else was fingering their weapons.

The captain had come out of his cozy room to see what had silenced the entire camp. He had that feeling he always got before a battle. He stared off through the camp looking for his officers.

(OCC: Marlax is a NPC. Just thought I'd let you know before you go through all the created characters….hehe.)

Zenmusha:

OOC: Please break my head with a heavy object (PM me) when you start a new thread, girls. My fault for being a lazy ass and not RPing as frequently as I should...

IC: Earon was more busy looking at Motoku with a sly expression that actually listening. "Of course I do." It was his typical answer for that kind of situation. He admired the way she crafted her magic. It was... beyond his current skill. Still, he had other abilities she didn't possess. "Wait..." he held his hand high, commanding the warriors to stop. "... First, let's undermine their confidence. I'll be right back, my dear." He winked at her, knowing that she wouldn't see the gesture.

He walked into the myst, relying on his keen sight to guide him across the terrain. Finally, he met up with an Ighten encampment. Beneath the cover of mist, he identified the commander. The fool had done exactly as he wanted. This won't be easy, though...

He focused hard, and began to pierce as fast as he could the commander's mental barriers. Fortunately, he was caught unaware, and it was a quick fight. The men would've barely time to notice the brief moment their leader gasped. Earon, now in control of the man, ordered him to turn towards the ones around the fire, and made him draw his sword. The commander stabbed one in the throat, and slammed his fist into another that rose up from the fire. "You're all unworthy of Ighten... I hope demons drag you all to hell." With that said, he walked towards an officer. "Commander Janus, is there anything you..." His sentence was cut short, as Janus punched him, and began to strangle him...

Earon grinned out of pure glee as he hastened back to the others. When he arrived, panting but smilling, he winked again at Motoku. "Hehe... Just to see you again is enough to make all this worth it. Men... You go and slaughter some..." With that, he sat on the ground, recovering his breath.

Eslin:

OOC: Your forgiven, but I'm going to remember that heavy object next time...hehe.

IC: Marlax's mouth fell open when he saw his own commander stab one of the men. He mush have finally filliped his lip Marlax thought to himself. This might be a good night to leave after all. No one would miss him in this mess.

Marlax ran to where his horse was stabled. There were supplies hidden along the side of the stable where noone would find them. He saddled his horse and checked to make sure he had everything he'd need for a long ride.

The camp stood in unease as the rumor spread that the commander had kill some of the men. Another of the officers stared at the commander for a moment. He couldn’t understand what was possessing him. Finally after a few moments he couldn’t stand to watch the waste of life any longer.

“I’ve served my country with loyalty. I think you the unworthy one here,” he said as he charged toward the captain with his sword draw. The other men around the camp fire were stunned as they watched their fellows die. Hearing the short speech, they too began reaching for weapons.

Darkrose:

(OOC: Sakura can't go online anymore, but she asked me to fill in for some of her characters. So...)

"Hehe... Just to see you again is enough to make all this worth it. Men... You go and slaughter some..."

She gave her signature smirk, one that would send chills down the spine. It was a smirk Motoku used when she was both happy and angry, and because you can't see her eyes, you could never tell. She felt the moral of her enemys rise, as thier captain gave some sort of rally speach. But no matter.

But this time she was on a blood surge. This battle was for merely pure amusement.

She sent her magikku out and grasped onto the soldiers hearts. It was a technique she often used to threaten people, but Motoku was thrilled to use if for real. She acted like a little girl who just got the present shes always wanted. She chanted fluently:

"Animi Erumpo!"

A sea of blood covered the air. The silent explosions of the heart left around two hundered soldiers dead. Their corpses covered the ground as the whites of thier eyes either stared at the heavens or to the earth below them.

She said to the captain to her right. "Bring one of the soldiers to me alive. I have a use for him. Oh... and kill the rest." Motoku smiled a smile that a vampire would give to one of its victims right before it feasts.

Darkrose:

Two of Shea's soldiers brought forth one of the border guards. Motoku felt within him a sense of defeat.

But unlike his comrades, he would be lucky to see his home again.

"You guard! State your name." She said sharply to the soldier, meaning to stike fear into his heart.

Eslin:

OOC: Sorry I took sssooo long. I've been grounded (long story) I'm still grounded, but I found the time to post.

IC: Marlax slumped in between the two guards. Where had he went wrong. Everything had been going so well. He had been almost to the horses. Then these two had found him.

He was looking down at the ground when he heard someone sharply say, "You guard! State your name."

Marlax looked up, and then looked back down quickly. What had he done to deserve this. All he ever wanted to do was go home. Slowly his face became slack. He knew he was about to die; he might as well accept it.

With a defeated look on his face he said one word in a dejected voice, "Marlax."

Darkrose:

"Marlax, I am happy for you, to be of an assistance to me," She said with a smile that wasn't all too promising.

A solider pulled up a strong mare and led it to Marlax's side.

In a dark voice, she spoke:

"You will ride this horse day and night, no stopping for food or a drink, until you reach the palace of Sinead. Tell her we are comming. If you choose not to do what I have commanded of you, trust me, I will make you wish you have never seen the sun go down."

The fire burned in the distance and the air filled with cries of the last few surviving soliders. Motoku turned her head in Marlax's direction, and her eyes burned through her stone veil

With this, she merely said "Go."

Eslin:

Marlax felt a sliver of hope building inside him. They weren't going to kill him after all. In fact, they were going to let him do what he had planed on doing in the first place. Maybe he could get away. Maybe he wouldn't have to face Sinead with such awful news.

Marlax looked at the woman's face and cringed. Long after that when he thought of giving up he would have nightmares about those eyes that kept him going on.

He got on the horse that was provided and rode as fast as he could away from those eyes.

Darkrose:

She didn't need to see. The smell of death was strong in the air.

"Earon, there is no need to stay here. The Border has fallen, and the barrier between the two kingdoms has vanquished. I say we are now in a war now, don't you think?" She didn't wait for him to awnser. "We have no time to waste. Although I'm sure we can defeat Sinead's forces, we best not become vain and underestimate them. Let's get this job done quickly."

Motoku motioned her horse forward so she could scan their descend down. She left Earon to gather the troops that were comming with them.

Shea's army left as quickly as they arrived.
