LORE: The Beginning to Their End

City closest to the Border and possibly the nicest. Most of the pure of hearts and the good people who were trapped in Arken when the Border was forged live here to escape the evil in the land... it doesn't work.

Still keeping his composure Damien watched as she undressed. "From the way you speak, it seems as if you are the one that is worried."

Mi smirked. "I'm just warning you," she said to him. She undressed completely and entered the water. "I'm known for burning men's eyes out." Maybe if he had known this sooner he would have not come? But, her father had taught her not to be modest. Sadly, she wished otherwise. However, he had taught her to be the killer she was. The assassin, the mercenary, the sorceress, that she was.

"I'm also known for melting faces off, and burning hands until they have no fingers."

Damien grinned at her. "Well, I don't think I have anything to worry about."

He locked eyes with her and stared deep into her soul. She was very free spirited and wild. "You don't mind if I join you, do you?" he asked.

Mi took on a serious expression for a moment. "Only if you know how to keep your hands to yourself," after she stated that she smiled at him cunningly. "Otherwise, no, I don't mind."

She got about shoulder deep in the water and she refused to go anymore. As long as her feet touched flat on the floor of the river she was fine. She couldn't swim, and would surely drown if she tried to stay on her tip toes.

She could'nt allow this man to knwo that her weakness was water, for if he were a foe he would use it against her. Water made her ability to use fire magic impossible.

"I don't think that will be to hard." he said cockily. He pulled his black shirt from his torso to reveal a broad shoulders and a toned stomach.

"It will probably be harder for you to keep your hands off me..." He stopped just short of the water and listened for a moment.

The fire mage smirked as she faced away from him. "Hardly," she said turning back to face him when she noticed he seemed to be concentrating on listening. "Something wrong? The sound of the water not to your liking?"

A rustling came from not far away. Damien pulled his shirt back over his shoulders. The young fire mage's words went over his head without him hearing.

"Get out of the water!!!" he insisted rushing down to help her out. He offered a hand to pull her out.

Mi did not take his hand. She did not need his help. She quickled rushed out of the water dripping and soaking wet. She grabbed her cloak and wrapped it around her form as if it were a towel. "What is it?" she asked him, a bit aggrivated that he hadn't stated what she was getting out of the water for.

She hated water, and the thought of something attacking her in water, her weakness. It pissed her off.

Damien didn't think anything of her not taking his hand. He stood up straight as the footsteps got closer.

"Shut up asking questions and get dressed," he said a bit demanding. "We have visitors approaching."

Damien didn't know the reason someone would be coming down there but by their pace they were in quite a hurry. He peered through the trees trying to see someone but couldn't make anything out.

Mi glared at him as she wrapped the cloak tighter around her. "You did not just tell me to shut up," she muttered to herself, wanting to suddenly catch him on fire. However, good for him, she was soaked to the bone in water and therefore would not be able to use her fire magic until every inch of her body was dry. "Lucky bastard."

Damien couldn't understand her mumbling and quite frankly didn't care what she said. "Will you just be quiet for one minute?" he asked a bit agitated. The running had stopped and the woods were now silent.

He turned and looked back at Mi. She was soaking wet and very beautiful. "We're not alone." he said in a low voice.

'I kind of figured,' she thought to herself aggrivatedly, walking around the horse to beginning trying to put leather over partially dry skin. 'My mistake for brining a paraniod person along,' she thought dryly as she lazed the sides of her pants up. She pulled the thin body shirt over her head and then wrapped the corset top around her middle... though she doubted if they were coming as fast as he acted, that she would have time to get properly dressed.

A rustling came from a nearby brush. Damien raised a hand and the bush incinerated and behind stood a young man holding a broad sword. Damien saw it and quickly burned it from his hand.

The boy let out a terrible scream and gripped his hand firmly. The sword hit the ground with a thud.

"Why did you follow us?" Damien asked. His eyes glared into the boy's soul.

The boy trembled and fell to his knees. Sweat beaded from his head as he tried to look away from Damien but he couldn't.

"Speak!!" Damien demanded.

The boy finally muttered. "I'm sorry my lord. I was here with my friends and we saw y'all getting into the water." he stopped and took a deep breath. "We were peeping sir."

Damien felt a bit of laughter come to his throat but he held it back. "And where are you're friends?"

The boy hesitated then said, "They ran when they saw that you noticed we were here. I couldn't take my eyes off the lady long enough to care."

Mi rolled her eyes aggrivatedly. "Boy, I have half a mind to burn your eyes out so that you no longer have the temptation to 'peep'," she said. But, at the moment with heir hair soaked... "I'll let you go, but if I catch you again it will be the last image you can't look away from."

The boy shivered as Damien finally released him from his gaze. He glanced at Mi quickly and scampered off through the woods. Damien felt rather dumb for getting so worked up over that but he's learned that you can never be too careful in Arken.

"False alarm," he said with a broad smile. He didn't really care what she thought of him but there was something rather intriguing about her and he found himself secretly trying to impress her.
