(Lore) Recovering

The shores of Ighten are beautiful beaches with white sand, palm trees, shacks and houses with people that live along it. It's also an easy way for Arken people to enter Ighten, since it is more or less unguarded. Sometimes wrecked ships wash ashore.

Kratos nodded. Neko was staying in the background with Adonis, not wanting to get involved in anything. The soldier frowned but his eyes were soft.

"You're the only survivors then.." he remarked softly, lowering his eyes to the ground and letting his horse lead them now. "Bless the gods..." He raised his eyes up and they immediantly fell upon Neko who was only watching the ground she was stepping on. The soldier immediantly turned his head, a small pink color rising to his cheeks.

Bless the gods? Telanis wasn't sure what the stranger meant by that. Were they in some kind of trouble?

Adonis eyed the guards warily as he followed from a safe distance, ears pressed back against his head. These newcomers made his former company of just Telanis and his human entourage seem almost pleasant. Almost. He flicked an ear toward the Ongorethan girl walking next to him. He did not miss the color that rose to their escort's face when he looked at her. Adonis felt little besides disgust for what he observed. Had he the good fortune to be a bit more naive like his brother still was, he wouldn't be so aware of the lustful side of human nature. But he was impure, and he recognized it easily. The fact that he recognized it only made him that much more disgusted by it. Human affection was so impure. He wished he didn't have to understand it.

Laya walked behind Telanis, however, a safe distance away from the rear of the horse. She glanced up, tilting her head since she thought she saw a rosier color to the man's cheeks for a moment there. She guessed it was the heat.

"How far away is this village?" she asked.

"Not far," the soldier said quietly over his shoulder.

Neko didn't even notice his glance at her. She just hugged herself and walked besides the dark horse. The Soldier led them through the forest and after awhile, they finally broke through and made it to the village.

It had completely changed. There was now a 10 foot stone wall surrounding it's perimiter.

"Oh my...god..." Kratos breathed in surprise and wonder. "What happened?"

"My lord took over," the soldier leading them said quietly.

"What?!"

"Please, do not question it and obey the laws." He sounded afraid for them. He pointed westward where there looked to be a gate. "They'll let you in there, give the guard my name and he'll let you in." He turned back around but his eyes only fell on Neko, who was looking at the wall in fear. "I'm General Khan." He turned his horse around and galloped back into the forest to get back to his comrades.

Fuming, Kratos clenched and unclenched his fists while staring at the wall.

"I wonder if they let you out...." Laya said darkly as they stepped towards the gate. She subconciously got closer and closer to Telanis and she reached out for his hand, holding it lightly.

"You seem as though you've been here before, Kratos," Telanis observed quietly, already suspecting that something was wrong, though he couldn't guess what.

"We lived here." He said, meaning he and Neko. Neko finally broke away from Adonis's side and gripped her brother's shoulder. She too, was angry.

"Let's go in and find mom and dad." she told him, trying to ease him out of his anger. Kratos nodded, not speaking but deffinatly angry and wanting answers. The siblings led the group to the gate and gave the guard the General's name. They were let in immediantly and as they entered the village didn't look entirly different. But there were flags everywhere of the insignia that the soldier wore on his breastplate.
