Name: Rosada
Gender: Female
Age: 24
Race: Elven, human, and Sorceress (Mother: ½ Elven, ½ human; Father: ½ Sorcerer, ½ human)
Job/Class: Traveling Healer/Sorceress
Power: As the possession of a powerful Voice, one that can influence emotion, be heard through buildings and reach impossible distances, Rosada often makes her way as a bard when no Healers or Sorceresses are needed. Otherwise, she can control the elements—earth, wind, fire, and air—to some minor degrees, and she can any injury and/or illness. The only thing she cannot do is bring the dead to life; even those on the brink of death are safe in her hands, albeit she has the strength to fight for their life.
Appearance: Rosada is a very fair woman with a slim yet curvy body, and is quite short. Though her eyes are black, usually indicating wickedness or some such, they sparkle with an inner humor and light, and often invite others to enjoy life with her.
Weaknesses: Her biggest weakness is her companion Pyra, a small red dragon. After that follows her patients, and then the ‘few’ friends she manages to make upon her travels.
Biography: Amidst betrayal, deaths, and loss, Rosada as a young child rose up, and… left all of that behind. Her parents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, even her nieces and nephews… are no longer hers any more, and so, will not be mentioned in any depth.
Personality: She often makes jokes about her shortness, and her jokes put people at ease. Her open personality often throws people off, as does her dry humor, and even dryer, but more complex wit.
Extras: Pyra is a small red dragon that is constantly with Rosada. Though she can speak to everyone, she usually only addresses Rosada and children (meaning around the age of 16 and younger) and particularly has a grudge against males. [/color]

Hi, and welcome to Heirot ^_^. This character sounds very interesting, but before I approve, could you please elaborate on her weaknesses? As elemental magic, healing, and controlling emotions are a rather strong set of powers relative to other Heirot characters, an equally specific set of weaknesses would be ideal. Any detail about limitations to the amount of casting she can do or side/after effects of her healing ability (for her or her patients) could also help to balance the character. I'm not quite clear on how Pyra acts as a weakness (though I love the idea...maybe you could mention in her bio how she came across such a rare companion?)
Drop me a message when you'd like me to review this again! Thanks!

Okay, I think this answers your questions.
Detailed Weaknesses:
As her closet and most beloved friend, Rosada considers Pyra her only family that she has left. If she ever lost Pyra, Rosada would most definitely go into a total melt-down, especially what with the horrendous childhood she had experienced.
Her powers include making fire and controlling the flame, though only limitedly; finding and controlling water, with some skill; air, or wind, she can summon, and control completely; and lastly, earth is her hardest to use, though with intense concentration she can make plants grow and bind limbs, or create earthquakes. Her limit for healing depends on her actions prior to; if she were just traveling for a full day, then she wouldn’t heal twenty odd people of the flu, though she could heal several of minor injuries. Mostly, it depends on her inner strength, and what lines she drives herself to come up against or to cross—which in turn depends on the significance the patient has on her.
And, now that you gave me the idea, I will add the side-affect of having a sunburst birthmark that appears on the skin of Rosada’s patient on whatever part of the body she touches in order to heal it. And though from time-to-time she uses both hands, it only ever appears once—more than likely from her right hand—and that also goes to patients she already healed; if they already have the sunburst, they don’t get another one.
Slightly More Detailed Bio:
Pyra is nearly as old as Rosada, though in dragon years, that’s still an infant. Pyra was actually given to Rosada by her family at the age of 3. It was a tradition for the Healers in the family to be partnered with a non-human companion as a way to prevent loneliness on the road, and so that they could aid whenever they can. By chance, her father’s brother had happened across the tiny red egg, and so Rosada was even able to be there at Pyra’s birth. In return, Pyra was there when Rosada’s family was killed. Both were taken in by a local healer, who taught Rosada all her of her craft; the rest, including the Sorceress’s magic as well as other healing techniques, Rosada had had to learn on her own.
Better?

That is great detail, but I would still like you to try to come up with one real weakness for her. Limitations to her power are slightly different from weaknesses, as none of them seem to have a negative effect on her. Her affection for her dragon is a good point, but if you could perhaps add one more thing, such as a phobia (that she would be likely to encounter) or a physical problem (can she fight?) or a personality trait (i.e. rushes into danger without thinking, or tends to be unassertive when the time calls for it, etc). The reason this is so important is because your character has a lot of power (not just healing, but a lot of healing, and not just elemental powers, but all elemental powers including natural disasters) and without more weaknesses, she will be overpowered in comparison to those she travels with.
Oh, I get it...
No, she can't fight, but this doesn't stop her from trying. Her only fighting comes in her magic (fire, wind, earth--no so much water; and its mainly defensive, not offensive), which can be depleted, especially if she is found right after a major healing, or numerous healings. Otherwise, like with weapons or hand-to-hand, Rosada is defenseless; her main problem is admitting it. I suppose another way to put it, is she that she fights like a girl.
That has to be it, right?
