Appearance: Tetsumaru is getting to be old. His hair, black in his younger days, are now a dull gray in color. However, he still has the same muscular build he had when he was younger. He is a big man, standing at 6' 5" with a broad muscular build. Scars cover his body. There is one that goes horizontally across his face from the right side at the bottom of the ear level running across to under his left eye. A second scar slices down his nose and down his lips. There are many other scars that cover his torso as well as a few on his legs. His unruly black hair is mostly tied back into a ponytail that reaches his mid back. A couple of clumps of hair fall in front of his eyes and stick up randomly on his head. His eyes are a cold looking black though he isn't actually all that cold hearted. No longer living in Ongoreth, he has taken to wearing clothing more customary of the mainland, so not to stick out. He has on a simple green tunic with black pants on. However, he continues to wear his tatami standals, finding them more comfortable than shoes or boots. His katana, the blade being 35 inches long, longer than a standard katana's blade length, rests in the belt on his hip. The blade is also thicker than a standard katana's, making it so his slashes have more power.

Weakness: Tetsumaru is no longer in his prime, his reflexes slowing down with his age. He has also begun developing arthritis in his joints and his eyesight is no longer as good as it used to be. Also, because of his heavy Ongoreth accent he sometimes has a hard time getting his point across in social situations. The senility that is starting to kick in isn't helping much either. He is also a social reject on Ongoreth due to his refusal to commit seppuku to restore lost honor. He doesn't fear death, but he does not wish to welcome it with open arms just quite yet. Projectile weapons are very effective against him now, though he was able to dodge and even cut them down in his youth. Also, magic is a force that he dislikes greatly, seeing it as the tool of cowards who are unwilling to build their bodies up for more physical combat.

Biography: Tetsumaru was born into a well respected samurai family in Ongoreth. As he grew up however, he was always surrounded by rumors that questioned the fidelity his mother had. The rumors started getting worse when he was in his teens. He towered over both his parents and was much more heavily muscled and broader than his father. Neither his father nor Tetsumaru believed those rumors however. Tetsumaru came close to killing a few men that taunted him about the fact. To make matters worse, his questionable lineage made it hard for many Daimyos to accept his service. He eventually found himself under the service of a power hungry daimyo that ruled over a small province on the main island of Ongoreth. He quickly found himself in battle after battle as the Daimyo fought his neighbors for control of their land. This finally stopped after the Shogun stepped in with his army and crushed the power hungry Daimyo and his forces. Tetsumary barely survived that battle, coming out of it with most of the scars that now cover his body. When he returned to society after healing from his wounds, many people demanded that he commit seppuku as in apology to the Shogun for serving under the man he had served under. He refused and a few years later left the island of Ongoreth for the mainland. He hasn't returned there since.

Extra: Whenever Tetsumaru speaks in the language on the mainland, he carries a thick accent with him. He hadn't put time into studying the language when he was younger and so he will continue to carry the accent with him to his grave. With his old age, he is slowly becoming senile. His memory and attention span are already suffering. He is usually friendly to whoever he comes across, even magic users who he doesn't respect too much.
