Lore: Drakeshead Inn and Tavern

The Captial of Arken, it is the darkest known city in the world. As it is the capital and the home to the Witch Queen herself, it is a very dangerous place to enter. Home to the toughest and roughest crooks around.

Daylan slowly helped to ease Joe down onto the ground, making sure to get him close to the center of the camp. He looked up towards the two men with some unease, it would not do to trust other travelers in Arroes. He checked the tear in Joe's shirt, the flesh was mostly knitted over at least. He looked up to the man, "The wolves just came out of the darkness. They're not normal, most wolves won't attack by a far or any more than one person."

Lucas looked down at Ora. "You look very tired, miss," he said and put his hand against her warm back. "Would you like to rest in my tent, it is by far the most comfortable."

Ora looked up at him, an uneasy feeling creeping into that made the hairs on the back of her neck stand up.

"Not with out Daylan in there with me," she muttered.

"You will be safe, I promise no one will hurt you."

Joe started to stir slightly, his eyes fluttering up a little bit to look around. "Eh...." he said, running and hand through his hair. "Someone hit me with a rock?"

Daylan looked over at Lucas, jealousy flashing across his eyes for a brief moment, chewing the tip of his tongue before he regained his composure. He smiled a little when she wanted him near her, it was not for desire, but for safety. For her at least.

He looked down at Joe, the little smile still there, "No, you were bitten by a wolf, and your head hit the ground. They ran off though, and these men were kind of enough to take us in." He looked at Lucas suspciously again, "I think the three of us are staying in Lucas's tent."

"Well, I made the offer to the lady, but if you insist..." Lucas seemed very displeased with the fact that Ora wouldn't be alone in the tent. Though, he figured she wouldn't be.

He pushed his hand against Ora's back and urged her under the flap to the tent and inside. The floor was littered with fur rugs and a few tattered pillows were pilled in the center of the room with a fur blanket strone across it.

"There you go m'lady," he breathed into his ear, taking in the sent of her hair. One of his hands fisted as if he were trying to hold back the urge to do something.

Daylan followed in closely after the man, making sure to keep within a couple of paces, but not to be too over-bearing. He ground his teeth briefly as he pressed up against her, biting back the wave of jealousy before the calm mask returned once more. He knew he could trust Ora, but could he trust this man? "I suppose we'll just split up again and sleep..." he said soflty, holding the flap open for Joe. The man might be a while in recovery, a blow to the head was no small matter.

Lucas looked at Ora, his hand slipping away from her smooth small back. "I'll leave you three to rest then." He turned and headed past Joe as he flopped onto a fur rug and laid there for a moment. "Someone want to explain?"

"We got attacked by wolves... and suddenly these two men came out of no where... They offered us shelter from the wolves..."

"Yeah, like a couple of tents will do any good. Why are we still alive? They should have ripped us to pieces."

"Daylan scared them off I think..." Ora said and knelt beside Joe, looking around for a clean rag but unable to find one. She took the underpart of her skirt, the slip, and ripped a piece of fabric from it, then dipped in a bowl of clean water to wipe the dirt from Joe's face.

"Why am I always the one taking care of you," she muttered as her brother seemed to want to nod off again. "Can't I just once get a break?"

"Why am... I...Hmmm?" and then he was out again.

Ora sighed and her shoulders sagged slightly, her hand dropped the rag in the bowl of water. "That man frightens me," she confided in Daylan. "I don't trust him. He's up to something... Thinking I would dare sleep in the same tent as him. He's either crazy or incredibly brave... or dangerous."

“You really can be stupid sometimes Lucas,” Milo said as he propped up against a post in the middle of one of the tents. “She’d never want anyone like yourself... Besides, I think the wizards got a thing for her. I smell jealousy from a mile a way...”

“So what if he does. If he dies then there isn’t anyone to have a thing for her but me!”

Daylan shut the entrance to the tent flap, keeping out the cold, but more importantly keeping their words inside this tent. He could not have the others learning of what they spoke, even if it was trivial. "It was only a pair of wolves..." he said softly, feeling the rush of magic fill him once more. He dully recalled what Ora had said of werewolves, but he didn't manage to piece it together through his worry.

He kneeled down beside the two, rubbing his sore knees as he did so. He wasn't built for running all through the night, "He is a very bold man, out in Arroes in the dead of night. But there is something strange about him." he said softly, looking up towards the tent flap. Why had he felt so jealous when the man had touched her?

Ora moved closer to Daylan. "Yes, he's very bold." She yawned tiredly. "Guess I'm not completely recovered. I'm so tired... But, I don't want to sleep. Something might happen."

She didn't mean to be forward herself, but she leaned her head against Daylan's shoulder. He made her feel incredibally safe and very comfortable. "If we sleep can I sleep next to you... I don't want anyone to take me in the night... without you knowing..."

Daylan slowly sat down, resitng on his palms and stretching out. Her yawn pulled one of his own from him, "It's all right, I'll be watching over you." he said softly, holding her close as she moved up against him, "I'll try and keep you safe, no matter what happens. Stay close to me this night, and I'll keep you safe." he said reassuringly. He didn't like making promises he might not be able to keep, but he would keep this one.

Ora laid down next to him and laid on her side, facing him. She draped one of her hands across his chest. She didn't mean to be forward, but she was very afraid of that man. Not to mention that deep inside she had... feelings... for Daylan. She reached over and grabbed the fur blanket and pulled it over both her and Daylan. She snuggled up to him, her arm body pressed against him. "Thank you," she said softly.

Daylan started at her touch, he hadn't expected that. He lost his grip on the magic, focus shattered by so simple an act. His heart began to beat quicker in his chest , his breathing slowly speeding. His arm slowly wrapped around her, holding her tight to the side of his body, "It... it is no matter." he said, trying to hide the resurfacing stutter.

Ora smiled softly and slowly drifted off to sleep next to him. Her expression was gentle, soft, her smooth skin glowing in the dim candle and lantern light.

Black strings of hair were falling over her face slightly, though she was a sleep so the tickling didn't bother her.

Lucas stood outside the tent, peaking through the flap at them. He was jealous of the man... Didn't the girl say they were friends. This looked like more than friends. This looked like lovers...

He wanted to be Daylan... It had been a while since he had held a woman... This wizard needed to die... Quickly.

Daylan held her, his grip was gentle, but it kept her close to him. His flesh heated beneath her touch, but slowly, very slowly, he started to fall asleep with her in his arms. He really didn't want to be here if Joe woke up before them, but that was a risk he was more than willing to take. Thus it was no surprise that he did not notice Lucas standing there, his own mind slowly drifting off into sleep.

OOC: You can control Joe... He's an NPC... He's basically hard-headed and arrogant sometimes... But, loves his sister ;)

Sometime close to mid-afternoon, since they had woken up close to morning... Joe stirred in his sleep. He sat up, groaning, though he no longer felt like he had been hit by something really hard. In fact... if it was possible, he felt stronger.

He glanced over... But, had to do a double glance... His sister. She was curled up in Daylan's arms.... "What the hell?" he whispered to himself wondering if he had only been out for a few hours or a few days.

"Eh..." he shook his head. He didn't want to know how close the relationship between them was. It would fry his brain far more than he wanted it to be fried.

"Hey, you... erm two... Wake up and tell me whats going on." He didn't quite remember anything that was said.

Daylan nuzzled up close to Ora as they slept, arms wrapping around her more intimately than he would ever dare while awake. Something about her made him nervous, too nervous to think half the time. He stirred in is sleep, yawning as Joe's voice echoed across pleasant dreams. He slowly blinked the sleep away from his eyes as he turned to look at Joe, eyes widening in an instant and his hands instantly leaving Ora's body, "Oh sorry Joe..." he stammered out, straightening his clothes a bit and turning a little red, "Um... well wolves attacked us in the night, something spooked them, and then these men found us. Safety in numbers you know."
