Power: She's a dead shot with practically any bow. She also knows her way around a quarterstaff fairly well, but (oddly enough for an elf) can't manage the simplest of spells.
Appearance: Danwynn is short, about 5'3," but doesn't let that get in her way. She's not as painfully thin as most of her elven kin, but rather athletically trim, muscular without being bulky. Her hair is blonde and so wavy as to border on frizzy, a source of constant irritation to her - hence it's usually tied back in a simple horsetail and falls to about mid-back. Her eyes are an extremely light brown, almost a little yellowish, under finely arched brows a shade darker than the rest of her hair. Her facial features are typical elf; though nothing exceptional among her own kind, she's quite attractive compared to most humans. Her dress and bearing exude confidence and pragmatism; she's almost never seen in anything but standard tunic, vest, and breeches, and it shows when she tries to wear anything else.
Weaknesses: Dan is an excellent mark - there's no questioning that. However, it leads her to overestimate her skills in all other areas. She seems to think that her rudimentary knowledge of the staff entitles her to use polearms, but it really doesn't. She never uses the sharp end and has issues with balance. Overall, her melee capabilities are none too impressive and her resistance to magic is outright pathetic.
Biography: Dan was a typical forest-dwelling elf until a few decades ago, when wanderlust overtook her coupled with the desire to test her skills against the best in the realm. If there was any other motive for her sudden departure, she won't say. As it stands, she's currently wandering around Ighten and her main source of income is challenging various people in archery matches, though she's allegedly taken on an assassination or two when it presented sufficient challenge and didn't tread on any particularly shaky moral ground.
Personality: Dan's generally, if not cheerful, content; she doesn't demonstrate a lot of emotional highs or lows, and when she does it's usually the former. Calm but not without a slightly dry sense of humor, she's confident and outgoing, tolerant of everyone - except those with a mixture of elven and other blood. Her racism seems wholly incongruous with the rest of her personality, but present nonetheless. Though she generally thinks before she acts, the other thing that makes her lose her firm handle on life is a challenge, particularly in the form of combat. She doesn't seem particularly ambitious, yet can't resist the urge to push herself to her limits - another strange contrast. In attempting to explain it away, she'll usually say something like "I'm just curious" or "well, I wasn't hoping to really accomplish anything by it."
