The only known village for the Ishtassy people. These people are very skilled in fighting in the dark art style. They have grown up feeling hatred and loathing for any one but their own kind and only follow the Witch Queen because she is the only one they truly fear.

Lore: Looking for sister..

Post by Amenat »

Humarin wandered the town looking around, she had head a rumor that Zutasar had appeared there in town. She couldn't find anyone and this certainly wasn't a place she felt she belonged. She saw the glimpse of her sister's face. "Taru!" She called out.

Hearing her sister's call she turned and looked. It was infact Humarin as she thought the person's voice it was. She decided to take care of her business and get out of there. Zutasar was far enough away to use her powers but the doll simply said no and used a weak wind spell.

Humarin felt the wind and the doll's evil presence casting this weak spell. It was almost enough to make Humarin loose sight of her sister so she started running after her sister. The wind suddenly stopped when Humarin began running and she didn't want to stop until she caught her sister who seemed so far away.

Drakoe felt an unworldly wind blow by him. He turned and saw his target but there was no way he could catch her. As he watched her dissappear into the distance he noticed another girl who also seemed to be chasing her.

Drakoe pulled his hood over his head and walked towards her. He snuck up behind her and grabbed her by the mouth to keep her from screaming."Why are you after her?"he whispered as he pulled her into a dark alley.

Humarin was surprised when she was grabbed and a bit scared too. She felt herself being dragged away.

Humarin struggled out of his grip. She gasped when she turned around. 'A mercenary?' she thought. "She's my twin sister, please tell me, are you going to kill her? You are aren't you? Please don't kill her!"

Zutasar met with her target in the middle of the city, "You are the preistess that wants to work for me?" Zutasar's doll said.

"No, I've come to kill you." She told Zutasar.

"Then die." Zutasar said flatly and killed the women with one bolt.

Drakoe scanned the girl over as she stood in front of him."Your sister!" he said in amazement. Drakoe wasn't expecting that. "Well killing her is what I had intended. That's what I'm getting paid for. I have to make a living and if I don't finish the job, I don't get the rest of my pay."

"I know.." Humarin looked down a little, "I'll pay you however much you need to please not kill my sister. There is somehting I need to do for her so I don't want her to die before I can do this otherwise she won't be able to rest in peace."

Humarin took the man's hand, "I am Humarin Clonen, I have to protect Taru until I can do what I promised myself I would do."

Drakoe removed his hood and stuck out his hand,"I'm Drakoe. What's wrong with your sister? Maybe I can help. I do chase people for a living."

Instead of answering Humarin shook her head, "I don't think there is snything you can do to help her. What she needs is a priestess to help her I just happen to be one of the best that my master trained or so she told me."

Humarin touched the man's cheeck, "I'm sorry." She whispered as she took off down the street in pursute of her sister again. 'May we meet again.' Humarin thought to herself.

Drakoe run after her a few steps," No! wait!" She didn't slack up. Drakoe knew he would see her again because she didn't pay him not to kill her sister.(At least he told himself that was the reason he went after her.)

It wasn't long before Humarin tripped over a badly burned person. She wasn't dead but close to it. "Lady... Humarin... take this.." She had a rosary in her hand, "Pray.. for.. me?"

"I will." Humarin said to her. She took the rosary in her hand and began to pray. A silent tear fell from Humarin's cheeck for the priestess as she passed on. Humarin went and covered the body of the priestess, got some help, took the priestess to the graveyard and buried her. Humarin kissed the rosary the placed it on top of the grave.

Humarin hummed a song that she had known since she was small she didn't know where it came from but the time seemed right. Humarin left the town to look for her sister an hour after the priestess was buried.

Drakoe stayed in the shadows as he wathched Humarin pray for the dead woman and gave her a proper burial. As Humarin left to go after her sister, Drakoe ran ahead of her to make sure her path was clear of any beasts or bandits. He never let Humarin know that he was watching her and he always kept his distance so she wouldn't find out.

As Humarin walked she felt unnaturally safe somehow. She decided to forget about it for right now. Humarin continued down the path towards the next town as the day got cooler and cooler.

Humarin started shivering just before sunset. She knew that if she didn't pick a spot and stop soon then it would be sundown soon. So she walked along a bit farther before picking out a spot surrounded by trees. She built a fire in the center of the trees. It was going to be a cold night.

Drakoe walked around the area where Humarin had set up camp and scanned it out for anyone or anything that might harm her. After securing the area he found a nice big tree and laid back against it.

Humarin leaned against a mighty oak tree. She prayed quietly until she drifted off to sleep.

When Humarin awoke it was dark, the fire was no more then hot coals but a full moon sat low in the sky as if asking her a question. 'Will you sing for me?'

Humarin stood up, took off her shoes and sock, walked over to a small clear, folded her hands under her chin and began.

(This isn't in any language so please don't try to translate.)

"O to shimita
kono a sukane
ora a ta newo.
Soto a ca i nay
ii wara ti na.
Sawai banin
oto ni tay.
Kawa i ne
roko in wa.
Softly I whisper to you
I will always be with you."

Humarin's song was mostly high pitched and slow. Afterwards she fell on the ground and slept most peacefully.

Zutasar awoke in the inn with a start, "That voice!" She whispered covering her ears.

'Humarin's voice is too lovely for her ears and it gives Tasa good memories.' Thought the demon, 'We must get rid of her with h first chance but until that time comes, others whom are better, more powerful priestesses will die.

Zutasar's eyes opened wide, "So many deaths! I killed so many!" Zutasar's eyes were wide open and her soul had slipped from the demon's power for only a second. Then Zutasar's eyes glazed over and she fell again and slept.

Drakoe decdied that he wouldn't wait any longer as Humarin did. Maybe he could catch Zutasar, and bring her back to Humarin. It would make it a lot easier on Humarin anyway, and it would let her help her a lot quicker. Drakoe was actually kinda curious to find out the story behind this whole situation.

Humarin awoke the next morning a bit cold and wet. She felt as if she were weakly chained to the ground. She got up, walked over to the coals, her light weight seemed to be tons of lead on her.

She had been experinecing wierd things since Zutasar had been taken from her. She had woken up outside, under her bed, in some one else's room, and on the roof. There were reports of a girl singing a mysterious song at random times in the night. No one seemed to recognize the voice and no one could copy it.

It didn't take Humarin long to figure out who it was. Since she was the only one out of her bed when it happened. She only told the head priestess who it was and the investigation was halted. After that the only other one who talked about it was Humarin's room mate.

Humarin made sure the coals were dead, which they were, and then left the circle of trees. Humarin wandered along the path feeling cold and hot shoot up her spine, she felt tired also.

Finally Humarin collapsed. 'I have to keep going.' Humarin told herself but it was no good, she couldn't move herself. A band of traveling preformers were on the road that day. They almost didn't notice the priestess until just before one of the horses stepped on her.

One of the most gentle wemon that could ever exsist jumped from the wagon and check on Humarin. "A fever.." Is all Humarin heard before she began to dream about Zutasar.

Zutasar left the inn in a nearby town and bought a horse. She rode to the outskirts of town, stopped and turned around. Zutasar had an odd look in her eyes.

"What is the matter." The doll in her lap said.

"Nothing." Zutasar replied after a few moments of silence.

Zutasar then continued at a slower pace then before so she could think.
