I likey! I didn't get to read all of it, though. I will the the rest later. I'm only doing 50 things at once right now..>_<

But anyways...It's great so far! keep up the good work, Mizu!

I'm starting to get into it now! The first two chapters felt a bit rushed, like you were sort of eager to get through the setup information and into the plot and rushed a little. The third chapter feels like it's falling into a good dramatic pace again though, hehe. I never could have pictured Soran as a pirate....I am very interested to see what happens when they meet! :P. WRITE!

Yea, I tend to do that sometimes. Because I end up wanting to get right to the good parts! I mean, I always think of a story in the middle of it or something! lol ^^; I've tried to slow myself down but I end up getting bored and loosing interest. There's so many stories on my fictionpress.com site that I have yet to finish -_-;;

But this, I promise to try and finish it. ^^ Of course, it might take awhile....XD

My problem is thinking of a good middle. I always have a good beginning and AWESOME endings...but the middle always screws it up. I've had so many things I've started writing because I already had the perfect ending set in my mind, and I always thought of a great beginning. Then, the frustration came when the middle came. And I quit...>_<

Chapter 4 is currently being written. Only thing is, I'VE REACHED A BLOCK! I have no idea what to do next with it from what I have. And it doesn't even have a chapter title. >_< Any and all help that can be given to me is welcomed! PM me and I'll give you what I have of the chapter and see if you can get me out of the block!

Remember, no help means no chapter 4 for a long time! T-T Don't let Falling Stars go on a hiatus!

You could have Mizuki have a feeling she should get on the ship Soran's on, and then meet Luc on the docks or something and he agrees to hook her up (assuming Luc belongs to the same ship) (Assuming luc belongs to any ship) (Assuming Luc's in this story).

OR!

Luc could belong to a rival ship (I don't remember if Soran's ship is a pirate ship or what) and offer her passage, then a battle takes place with Soran's ship and she ends up on Soran's ship

OR!

She could be kidnapped by pirates who then attack Soran's (and Luc's?) ship and after Soran's ship wins she ends up being 'rescued' and taken on board

OR!

A giant purple octopus from outer space descends upon the planet and begins turning people into little suction cups to put on cheap toys for Marshian claw machines.

lmfao. I love you man. hahhaa Yes, Luc is in this story and I already know what I'm doing when she meets him. It's getting her there to the ports I'm lost on. And Hell, I'm thinking about just skipping that and do the rest of the chapter with Soran just...thinking... but then it'll be short so...meh... I might mush everything together or something ^-^

It's ok to leave a sort of time gap and start the chapter with "Mizuki woke up. She had arrived at the port the night before and was ready to rumble...." If nothing important happens on the way, there's no real point in forcing it.

truuuue. Thanks for that ^_~ I always figured that time gaps weren't the best thing to do so I always forced action in between....damn... that explains alot. >_<

Hmm, that's true, gaps in the story where you skip over things could definitely seem obstructive to some people. I'd actually be curious to know what everyone thinks of this, since it's a tool I'm using a lot in Scars (the story takes place over so many years that instead of writing a straight narrative it sort of skips to representative passages of each major section). Does this kind of thing come across as disruptive?

When in doubt, skip forward, and if you think of something good to write between two chapters you have already written, go ahead and do it. I know that is the way I write, and people seem to like it, heck, the story, from the chronological beginning to the chronological end lasts, oh, roughly 7.89 BILLION years. I have to make time gaps, and sometimes they are necessary. Look at "The Lord of the Rings" there are huge time gaps, many of the scenes are told to you through flashbacks.

After all, you can always add more stuff in the middle, In my book for instance, I have added an entire chapter between the chapter 4 and five, which I might post, not sure, getting pissed with my writting and stuff, with a huge (not really) dogfight through the skies of Earth.

Woot! I love the new chapter! Now I'm definitely getting into it. Haha I love how Soran lost his balance in his chair. So symbolic, maybe. And then he stormed out - awesome! Luc's an ass hehe, I've always wondered what kind of relationship they had, so maybe now I get to find out. Write more!
