Fury of the Abandoned

This is a book I have been writing for around five years now, I keep getting pissed off at it and scrapping the entire thing and starting over. This is in fact the first in a four book set that will eventually amount to a personnal treatise on pretty much everything, this book is a treatise on Military Strategy, the second is a massive debate about the nature of good and evil and also the nature of the Gods, the third is a book about diplomacy with others and leading your people in a fair manner, and the fourth, well the fourht book should if it is ever written become the handbook for every aspiring politician, unfortunately for them it will only be written in Syrn, a language which does not yet exist, although I have finished the alphabet, a beautiful thing it is I might add, and is also unspeakable in its true form by any creature with less than two independent sets of vocal cords. And I WILL get it written into hte copyright that if a translated version is ever published I have the right to not only sue hte publisher for all they are worth, but also round up all of the translated copies and destroy them. You need to work for the book's secrets, there's a reason for that.
If this book is well received I will post additional stuff, also, if you want, I have begun taking REAL people I know and making either them or their children characters in this book, for instance, the Naval Admiral John Michael Rosenbaum is my former Roommate, he is really in the Navy and stuff. I feel it will add some realism and freak people out. PM me with your career goal and stuff and your real name and maybe I will include you.
Well, enough of that, here is the first chapter, oh, and you will all LOVE the third chapter, its great, as much insanity as I cramed into V6, that's nothing compared to the SLAYER talking to himself, its so funny when indestructibly immortal machines go insane and decide to destroy all of existence.
THe views expressed in this work should not be considered to be the views of me or anyone else, okay thats a lie, when it talks about Gods though, don't take anything it says literally, as all of the people in this story have had their views of the gods destorted by personal prejudice, the fourth book deals directly with the true nature of this dimension's Gods and their mentality from their point of view, and the second one is the book that gives an objective analysis of them and also describes their tendencies as they are systematically hunted down and elliminated.
Also, once the Dretht't make their appearance, just so you all know, the Dretht't are my personnal view on what society SHOULD be like. However, again, their customs and the like are not truly represented in this book, the third book shows their mentality the best, however if anyone wants a more in depth look at the Dretht't feel free to PM me.
One of the unique parts of this book that I have done with all of my books in one form or another, the Story is almost NEVER told from the point of view of the same person twice, just a few, the Dretht't Reaper, the Main character, however, the truly unique part of this story, is the fact that you do NOT even hear the Protagonist's name, much less actually meet him until about 3/4 of the way through the book. In the second book you are never once told the protagonist's name, the entire four book series is in fact meant to be a riddle to try and figure out the second book's protagonist's true name.
Act 1
Time and Place Unknown.
Eternity warped around a single point, as an ever ending cascade of brilliant darkness fell and rose against itself. The skin of a thousand worlds was crushed into an insignificant spec of solid dust on the horizon of an event the people of the last fifteen millennia had tried in solemn vain to forget. The shadows deepened as the former light drew ever nearer, and the cacophony of a shattered heart's pain swelled as it felt its companions in servitude approach. It is impossible to relate to you the sorrow felt by this forsaken fiend. A Blight it is, and never was the choice its to make. It lives to destroy, because the self proclaimed God's fashioned it such.
Nowhere is there true peace.
An eternity of chaos broke forth from the infinite sphere of perfect darkness, as a great and mighty arm, one that had once terrorized the whole of the Galaxy, reached from darkness to darkness. Great steel shined a beautiful silver as it broke and was once again consumed by the darkness. The hand twisted, writhing in agony it could never feel, as the laws of existence shattered around it.
The three great phalanges of this behemoth began to shatter under the force of collapsed infinity, and the great hand struggled against the bonds placed upon it. However, even as it shattered it breathed new life into the true body of this Divine Demon as the remnants of its form returned to feed the darkness, and the creature bound within it.
The form began to collapse even further, and the palm of this goliath shattered outward under the pressure of nothing without and everything within. With the wisdom and meditation that comes with a thousand eternities spent in thought the true object of value was revealed. The mechanical womb of a race of massively small creatures revealed itself beneath the skin, and just as it began to collapse inward itself five great spheres reared forth from the darkness beneath it. These masses could only support the rebuilder of the destroyer for a fraction of time, and quickly began to fall themselves, until the shattering.
In the break of an instant all five ruptured with the cataclysmic force of volatile existence forced together into one, and the heart of oblivion was sent forth into the lesser darkness. The equilibrium of the disturbed order of chaos was quickly restored, and soon nothing remembered the passage of this dark omen.
The Darkness resigned itself to wait, knowing that soon, the light would come for it.
